There is something fundamentally wrong with people who give such beautiful classical music a thumbs down. Whoever you are, I don't want to know you.

The dividing line has been drawn. I'm not against that, it's fundamental to humanity. I just don't think people admit that to themselves, even as they're doing it.

I heard this version almost 40 years ago but I never caught the name of the symphony that played it. I've searched for years but couldn't find it. Some were close but not the one I heard and I gave up. But finally, I found it!! When the violins start to rise as the piece approaches the end, something inside me soars along with them. No other version does that to me.
The sweetest dream I ever had was of me playing this on a violin. I can still remember it clearly - the violin tucked against my neck, under the side of my face, eyes closed, bow moving across the strings, playing this. I can still feel the upwelling in my heart as I played. The dream feels as strong now as it did when I awoke those many years ago!

    • @JaZhou27
      @JaZhou27 Před 8 měsíci

The beautiful thing about dreams my friend, is that for every today & tomorrow that we're Blessed to awaken to?
So too, can a dream come true as you pick a violin...
Whether it's for the very first time or the hundredth time...
...and whether it be a group lesson or private lesson?
That upwelling in your heart can be awoken again and again as you pick up a violin and play even if a little piece of Pachelbel's Canon (in D MAJOR of course)...
And perhaps the piece you play?
Will be that very ending you spoke of...
...that very piece, as it approaches the end...
      What a sweet Dream indeed.
And even sweeter as it absolutely can still come true.
      Best wishes...

PERFECT tempo. I love the slightly slower versions of Canon in D, such as this one. Some performances are just too rushed...and as beautiful as they are, they make me feel antsy for some reason. I wanna shout, "Slow down!! What's your hurry!" to the conductor.haha Thank you for posting this one! I'm floating awaaaay........

It Was Not Composed To Be Play At This Slow Tempo, It Wasn't Meant To Be Relaxing. It's The Baroque Era.

not very INFJ of you to make something out of nothing, the man forgot to mention 'classical' before music, and you and TheMontanaDave 'jump' on him. :/ Everyone makes mistakes and omissions happen, let's just enjoy the music and leave the grammar inspection for other type of youTube videos, especially if the other person is clearly not an English native. Peace!

This is probably the most amazing version of Pachelbel's canon in D. So wonderful, touchingly beautiful. It grips the soul and shakes it. Thank you so much Johann.
