08:15 The elbow flick AFTER the rider lets the wheel go is the worst 🤣
Claudio Marquez making a cameo there at the end!
love that guy!
Keeping the will power high is key! Nice to see you added this metric😅
This video brings back memories of racing against pro teams in the late 80's early 90's. Think 7-11 and Coors Light. Most of those guys didn't really like US style crits, but damn, they were fast, and the teamwork was incredible. If you tried anything, they sent a guy on your wheel like a fly on pooh. Throw in a steep hill on each lap and watch the pack fall apart. Think SF or Seattle steep hills. Nice video.
Love these kinds of your videos... absolutely the best. Also love seeing yours and Wills Power at the same time. Brilliant!
I love you videos bro. More importantly there’s no cursing 🤬 or anything like that so I can feel better watching this around my children in my own home..
Thanks big 👍
Gorging on CZcams content instead of engaging with your kids and thinking that a swear word is the thing that will damage them.
This is America.
That is the most dumbest stupid comment you can even make.. i didn’t even ask you for an opinion ..I wrote that to them mind your own business. I erase my kids, however, I want to race them and I care to what they listen on TV Manon business.
Will's will power to keep it in the race👏
All I can think of when I’m racing in the draft is who the hell is on the front pushing the pace so hard. What kind of watts is that mofo pushing
🤣
Same 😂 it's like 350 watts in the draft it's like this guy's been riding the front for 3 laps, what is going on is this guy even human 😂😂
These are my home roads, always love riding through here and that uphill is so brutal everyday. Missing the summer weather with these negatives right now
sunrise park is a great turnaround
Are you coming over to the Netherlands this summer to do some crits with Glen?
I raced this one and i get dropped so i felt so bad. I started to said myself that probably being in the front could have been easier but then i said to me that never is easier to be on the front and i felt bad again 😂. Now im watching this and i wasn't wrong 😂😂😂 Thank you guys to make feel better again.
15:13 the way that blue guy on the front handled that turn was dope! 😮😮😮😮
Very cool, definitely miss that!
“Willpower” 💪
Hey Jeff, quick question. I'm heading out to Chicago Grit this and I'm super excited to do some of these races. I can only do 4 or 5 races. Which of the series would you recommend? Which are your favorites?
Can you speak to why your watts are so different than Will's? Calibration issue or different power meter?
It's the difference between being smooth at the front and having to respond to stuff back in the pack
Also, we were like 5 seconds apart during most of the last few laps that may be causing confusion
8:14 mark - I still remember the very first time I made that same mistake. And I got yelled at by my own teammates haha. Now I have PTSD anytime I even think about letting a sizable gap open.
haha TOTAL, team from the east coast near DC. Strong guys with some known ex pro (banned) dopers from what I hear.
I didn't know you race. Would love to see some race footage on your channel.
@@travispyle2905 it’s there, you’re not looking hard enough. 🤣
I think that is your hobby - to always start at the back of the race.
Rookie question: does body temp affect efficiency?
Want to keep it in a specific range. If it gets to high your power will decrease (or heart rate will increase for the same power) and too low basically also decrease in power
@@MarkBurghouwt Thanks. Temp regulation in cold winter it's being a mess lately, too dressed then too hot etc
@@IsaacRC It’s trial and error, too much clothes can result in sweating, which can result in getting too cold!
@@MarkBurghouwt I like to bundle up a lot for winter (mediterranean climate) but the massive inclines in my neighbourhood it feels so inefficient like sudden bursts of heat with very steep climbs, sweating and all, i already use a hacked two by with a 30 plate and 42 pinion as max easy gear; i don't mean for racing rather commuting but i was guessing it would be much more efficient in the energy preserving sense to not burn so much so quick
Looks like Harley recognized his mistake of moving up when it was strung out, couldn't find a spot to slot in, realized the mistake and match he burnt after the corner, flicks the elbow and begs for mercy...Bad foresight and positioning but not malicious.
OK, you DO or DON'T want it to bunch up? :D
You should tell us your Max HR or zones in each video. Otherwise HR data isn’t very interesting
8 mins in - come on thats not a chop!
Those 3-wide situations look sketchy af
First😁😁
