Awesome one!
I've learned to deal with rejections coz that's what I've been getting for months now. Anyone who claims freelance writing can make you shit ton of money, I'd ask 'what you smoking mate?'
I hear you, Shivin. I've been getting rejections by the boatload for months myself. But I'm not giving up. I know I can write well and all I need is the first person to say yes. Hang in there and succeed.
@@michellejensen5115 well I've been hanging in for more than a year now. Using all the so called "methods" and "processes" from pricing to bidding to what not. Seems writing is the easiest thing to sell as a freelancer these days coz every other kid is a "copywriter" or "content writer" and selling for dirt cheap rates. Precisely why someone like me isnt getting any shit.
@@shivinunitholi2493 For someone like me who's still trying to figure out how to get to first base with copywriting, your comment, although I'm sure, is honest, sounds very discouraging.
@@Lightsngear O well Im not hear to sound sweet, clickbaity and "encouraging" to folks like you. Perhaps you should go back to those kinds of ppl who do the sweet talking and sell some online courses on copywriting.
My default thought when I do outreach is I suck.
Great advice as always, Sean! As hard as rejection is, once you come to expect it in your freelance journey it becomes easier to handle. And a "no" today doesn't necessarily mean a "no" tomorrow. I have landed work through repeated follow-ups!
Like finding a job, until one person hires you, you keep looking and putting in applications. If you don't keep going, you will never get there.
Finding a job doesnt take half as long as getting a client. Precisely why "entrepreneurship" and "freelancing" are two mighty overrated words today thanks to online "Gurus" who preach shit that is all shiny object.
Needed to hear this right now. Thank you. ❤
If I worked for a vacuum cleaner company, I wouldn't mind if people told me my products sucked
