This is great to know as we enter 2024! Thank you for sharing Sean! 😊
I trust you on this, Shawn. You look honest to me and I've been interested on how to start with AFFM, so thank you for the video!
Glad you enjoyed! Definitely keep an eye out for the next one, as I'll go more in depth on the how to side of things.
I like this video. But I would be careful saying subs don't matter. That might bother people
@@wheelsnwarriors7166 I get what you're saying, but I legitimately think they matter much less than they use to. 50k subs here, B80 is now at 20k. But even when it was at 5k and 10k, it was getting 3-5x the number of views as this channel on any given day. I think subs are a testament to the quality of the content you put out, but I don't think that's the right metric to track to gauge success.
@@LocationRebel I totally get views mattering more than subs. For example if you have 500 subs but a video gets 2000 views that's a great video. I just meant it might bother your current subs because some people can be pissy.
Genius!
As someone who has watched several dozen videos this week for several products I'm in the market for, I can say this totally seems like a winning formula. And I'm soon going to start working on my on niche blog/channel as my schedule frees up for the winter. Looking forward to subsequent videos on this and discussions in the LRA forums about it.
Yeah this is definitely something I'm going to be talking about more. Tons of stuff on either the blog or video side, but not a lot about how to, and how powerful it is to integrate it all.
If you take a closer look, you will find that all major CZcamsrs use their own custom thumbnails to make their videos stand out and get more clicks and views.
This makes their video stand out even from videos that may get more views.
So I'm here to design attractive thumbnails
for your videos. I will create a stunning thumbnail that will grab attention and spark viewers' curiosity about your content.
Everything still revolves around writing. So learn writing.
Yep, couldnt agree more.
Will you make a series about this?
Yes, later this week I'll be publishing a super detailed video detailing exactly how I'd get started doing this.
@@LocationRebel Thank you. I've been writing short stories on random sites since storytelling and creative writing is my thing and I wanted to start making videos around that as well as voiceovers for my stories. So I hope I can learn how to do that
Awesome video, thanks. Quick question: Do you think the trending niches on CZcams are the same as in the blogosphere? For e.g. do golf people watch more video than they read content? Are the profitable niches the same on CZcams?
I think they're definitely similar. I recently did a survey to my Breaking Eighty audience and with hundreds of responses 25% said they prefer video, 25% prefer writing, and 50% prefer both. I think that's probably pretty representative of a lot of niches. And with Google showing way more video content in search results, these two worlds are blending together more than ever.
Hi Sean-
Great video. Thank you.
2 questions.
How do I specifically connect the blog to the YT channel?
Do I need the names to be the same? I want to add reviews to our GolfToons site and the niche is unrelated (Sun Protection)
Also, any harm in creating videos for content I have already written about?
Thank you
Michael Duranko
Dagnammit Sean 🙄 What if you hate being in front of camera??😢
Being in front of the camera definiutely helps build trust and your authority, but you can absolutely still do this with a faceless channel. Record b-roll with lots of your own photos/videos, and you can do voice over without ever showing your face. And you can always start that way and then continue practicing getting more comfortable in front of the camera as well.
