But Sonic 1 music are so perfect that it's impossible to change them without losing something. Orginal sounds more modern as if Savage Regim's where the old ones... It's so strange.
@@solarflare9078by original Sonic tunes do you mean the first game specifically or the entire series on the Genesis? I think Sonic 3 and onward took excellent advantage of the Genesis sound capabilities, what do you think?
Naaaah.. I love Savaged Regime work but there is something very special in Sonic 1 musics. Some kind of magic you can not do yourself. Add something or take off even just a little thing and you're missing the point. It's was just perfect. 💖. Even Tee Lopez with modern technology couldn't do better
I am a massive fan of the Spring Yard Zone theme and most covers don't sit well with me. However, this one NAILS the original vibe I got as a little boy playing for the first time and adds subtle extras. Thoroughly impressed, Savage Regime, absolutely stunning.
See the problem with porting this over is that SMPS doesn't seem to have native support for the YM2612's special channel 3 mode, which this heavily relies on to sound as cool as it does. TL;DR: Porting this over in its full glory requires a modified SMPS sound driver.
Send this one over to tee lopes for sonic mania. hell yes. I'd love to hear more rearrangements from you of old genesis classics. I'd love to see what you could do with Jewel Master.
Somehow you managed to make your rearranged composition sound closer to the original Masa demo recording than his own console rendition. Damn I love your work.
In my mind, this track is supposed to represent the Sparkling Zone aesthetic, as opposed to the final Spring Yard appearence. It's just too bad about the wrong bass note at the 0:35 mark and subsequent repeats, that A is supposed to be a lower E. Other than that, pretty impressive and definitely sounds like something Yuzo Kushiro would come up with.
Because the older consoles. HAD to. I bet you 100% that if older consoles had the opportunity to use modern day .wavs and.flacs, they definetely would.
Yo, even the original always felt like a Bobby Brown track that never really saw the light of day. So glad I'm not the only one that thought it, now I don't feel crazy!
Mega Drive Profile the new Bruno Mars album funnily enough has a lot of New Jack type tracks. Some buddies of mine did one too Rubberbandits - Black Man.
*To the person reading this:* Trust me when I say this is the best rendition to Spring Yard Zone in existence, just trust me on this one.
it really is
i was right for trusting you
@@namuH_1 i know, right?
This is the kind of quality soundtrack people expect when they do "HD remasters" of timeless classic games.
One of the best things about the YM2612.... dat bass. :3
Yeah, that slap rocks.
Eargasmic)
100th like from me, well deserved for your comment
e piano and bells too
they're what FM excels at
I'm loving the bass in this a little too much.
And I love that low, weirdly pitchy lead a tad too much.
It sounds like Yuzo Koshiro produced it for Streets Of Rage 1/2.
Daaaamn. :D
This kind of has an "In the Bar" (from SOR2) feel to it, but jazzier and more Sonic-like.
The portamento and delay make it very SOR, you're right.
All these years later and that bass is still just so FUNKY I love it.
You are a YM2612 master. Someone should commission you to arrange their game's OST, I'd buy it just for that.
Believe it or not, they just did that: www.kickstarter.com/projects/1676714319/xeno-crisis-a-new-game-for-the-sega-genesis-mega-d

I remember playing sonic as a kid the sounds of RINGS so magical, i won't never forget that feeling the world sonic.
hard to improve a masterpiece and you did it masterfully.
Love this arrangement!
Is it the man himself?
Nice update on a classic Genesis/MD track that takes better advantage of the YM2612+SN's capabilities!
Patch93 Indeed it did. The original Sonic tunes, while they sounded great, felt like a below average example of what the Genesis can do.
@@solarflare9078by original Sonic tunes do you mean the first game specifically or the entire series on the Genesis? I think Sonic 3 and onward took excellent advantage of the Genesis sound capabilities, what do you think?
much better than the original imo.
davidevgen alot of the notes aren't pitched correctly though
i think he did that to go for a more jazzy feel though, it sounds pretty good overall
It's called rearranged for a reason
you ain't wrong

This is magical! I wonder if more could be done with the entire soundtrack! Now that would be sublime! 😃
Sounds more like an Act 2 version
Dude! ... THUNDER FORCE V!
If they remaster sonic 1 this should be included Nice rendition
I dont thinks so why because there is already a peasants of the fucking 90s original.
That funky bass tho 👌
Super jazzy. I love it!
These feels like an act 2
So incredibly smooth, another Savaged Regime's great job!
By far the best remix out there! Sound is tight and full. Love it!
I'd love to see this recreated in Sonic 1's SMPS sound driver in an actual hack.
Bluestreak94 Plays Something Random You know what, I just might do that. I'll let you know if I do ;^)
+Nat The Porcupine let me know too!

Kaike The Humanhog check with the folks over on SSRG. Someone may have already made a sound driver that supports this feature.
Kaike The Humanhog No, S3K use SMPS too
This track was always so groovy! Sounds like a late Saturday night jam... You did it good justice!
That's why they call me Sonic, I'm faster than the speed of sound and light combined

Good job responding to a comment that was written before it released.
I love your cover! It sounds beautiful!
Thanks you so much man I thought no one could top this but you my sir prove me wrong. 😇
Lovely Memories relived
Whoooo boy, you've done Spring Yard Zone great justice, here.
This sound more close to the original masato Nakamura's midi. Good work!
I love the OG soundtrack, and this track in particular but...
You mastered that sound chip and perfected the tune.
You're still the best I've heard at programming the YM2612 gecko!
Springyard is one of my favorites and this is a great cover.
You're SO good at this! Nice job!
Loving it! Kind of sounds like a mash up of SOR and an ice level from Kirby 64 as well.
This grooves tigher than an actual mega drive!
Interesting, because this can be played on a Megadrive, he released a VGM file years ago
This is quality content, Great job!
Somehow you managed to make your rearranged composition sound closer to the original Masa demo recording than his own console rendition. Damn I love your work.
This sounds so good!
This just sounds WAY too clean to be a 2612.
Not sure what's going on with that, but good on you. This is pretty baller.
He composed this using the Delfemask tracker program. This is as authentic as it can get since its whithin the sound limitations.
Excellent work.
this feels niceeeee
Listen to that good old Bobby Brown every little step I take
Wow this is good!
Finaly a non teelopes remix of this darm song

Holy shit. That's it, this'll be the definitive way to listen to this music.
This gets me hyped for Sonic Mania! :D
Smooth ☺️👌
amazing
Spring Yard Zone, as if it was in Sonic 2! (Also sounds as if Spring Yard was flooded, or had a hydro-esque "Act") 😁
I can imagine that.
I listen to this and think, "What if Spring Yard Zone was in Sonic Mania?" Can easily imagine this as the first act BGM.
I love the jazzy feel to it! Would be awesome if you re-arrange other Sonic 1 songs
Sonic the Hedgehog All-Stars?
I know Sonic Jam exists, but the music in the games is just recreations of the original without any upgrades.
God remix!
I love the feel of this mix! I also think the "off-key" parts are intentional to add to the groove factor
DAT BASS!!!
what an upgrade!
Awesome.
I would be happy to set this as my ringtone but I would never answer the phone, just listen to the song.

How do you get the samples to be loud like that? Or do you just decrease the volume of every other channel?
You should put this on Soundcloud so I can listen to it on Soundcloud.

Could someone extend this?
Is this available as a VMG download by any chance? Thank you it is amazing!
So, there would be no channels left for sound effects, correct?
