Catcher Willson Contreras has spent his entire career with the Cubs and has celebrated many career milestones in Cubbie blue. During the 2022 season, he approached the milestone of his 100th career home run and it came in grand fashion. Contreras walks us through each pitch of the wild start to a Cubs-Pirates game in May that gave him a chance to hit twice in one inning, and he made the second at-bat count. The Cubs reportedly are offering him a one year contract. Obviously he wants more. Contreras will soon be gone. The Cubs should have traded him for prospects. As it is, the Cubs will only get a late round extra draft pick.

2016 was the BEST Year ever for the Cubs... Willson and the World Series! The love he has for his family is so, so heartwarming. And saying his father deserved the 100th HR ball more than he did......What an incredible young man! INCREDIBLE! I will be very sad if he chooses to leave the Cubs. But devastated if he ends up with the Cardinals! (I live in the STL area and I hear rumors)!
