Since this appears to be an "official" MLB team channel, & based on the fact that there's more money in baseball than an infinite number of Donald Trump's credit lines, the production value _should_ be held to a high standard. Especially for a popular team that's won it all within the past 5 years.

Stan Zielinski’s scouting report of Kyle Schwarber is priceless. “Squint your eyes and you can see a young Babe Ruth”, something I’ve often thought myself watching him at the plate. I want to read that whole report. The look on Schwarbie’s face as he’s reading it nearly made me cry. This is a great story and another beautiful Cubs Production. They are knocking out of the park with the great stuff they’re putting up in the Cubs Channel. Can’t wait to see how the story comes together on the road to the 2019 WS Championship Title. Go Cubbies

Just beautiful. I had started to watch this a little earlier but had to get back to work. My sons were coming back from Goodyear tonight, when they got home one of my sons asked me to come watch a video. Of all the videos in the world, it was this one, the one I started watching earlier! This is the best video I've ever seen on this subjectt! And Now when I see the scouts I have a whole new appreciation for the sacrafices they make. It seemed glamous in a way getting to travel and watch ball games, I had no clue it was year round. God bless these road warriors and keep them safe! #Fortheloveofbaseball

I want a video on how to become a scout, and or something similar... I used to play baseball year round. I was pretty good, was clocked throwing mud 70's at age 12, and could throw a ball about 350-400 feet accurately. My hitting wasnt the greatest, but it had been improving until my injuries happened. After my freshman season, my friend degloved my knuckle and took a chunk of bone out with a knife on accident. It was my catching hand, so I had to be out of baseball for roughly a year doing rehab and trying to get mobility back into it. After a year, I was finally able to resume work outs.. I have osgoodanslaughters( spelled that way wrong. It's the diseases where part of your knee is chipped and flipped upside down under your skill causing extreme pain, inflammation, and made my knee extremly weak. Well since I played year round, and worked on my legs every single day it didn't bother much at all.. that year I had off though, I didn't work nearly as much on legs and one day while I was working out my knee gave out and I collapsed and have been out ever since (know that was completely unrelated but I havnt talked about this basiclaly since then because it literally destroyed my life because baseball was my life so I go on rants when I discuss it) anywayssssss. Lately, I've been wanting to find a way to get into baseball in any way really... i know i cant play, it's been way to long and I'm 20 now, but it's still my passion.. Idk how to get into any field relating to baseball though.. being a scout, trainer, coach, anything. I just want to be around a baseball field, yet have no idea how to get into anything like that anymore...

Scouting is so much more important for the smaller organizations (MIL, TB, OAK, etc.) with the cubs they can just go out in Free Agency and throw a 100 million at a guy like its nothing....still an awesome video..i think baseball scouting is the toughest of all major sports and so hard to predict..so many busts
Scouting is very important. Especially since players are under 6 years of control once they hit the majors. I don’t think the cubs are number 1 in scouting though. Teams like the A’s and Rays are super good at it.

John Breuwet huh, if he stays with the Angels. Mike won’t be in the playoffs often or possibly at all so let’s not mention the World Series just yet, in my opinion he needs to get out of Anaheim as soon as possibly. Sadly I think he’s more about the money and winning, he’s so quiet and doesn’t have that personality to win. I haven’t seen him express too much anger or disappointment in the media or social media with the Angels lack of success. I think the Angels will offer him a huge and valuable contract (more than other teams which are better) and he will take it without flinching.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but do they ever draft someone who ends up going straight to being a starter on the major league team? I don't really get where the draft picks end up playing
shorttongue baseball is unique because of the farm system. Every organization has affiliate teams where draft picks have to develop/prove themselves in 3 or more leagues before they make it. Usually a year to 4 years to get to the show... although, the NFL is one of only a few sports who don’t have a professional minor league... they just use the college system.
