Love content like this. Good stuff. Respect to the kid for taking care of all the boys.
26 isnt a kid...... lol
@@FastDuDeJiunn imagine commenting on a post about Boston sports not knowing that everyone is “kid” 🙃🤡
@@raffyschaw2622 he a clown because 26 is considered a kid… um okay…
@@FastDuDeJiunn older than some of the players
This is just so wholesome, seeing how all the players and umpires treat him with so much respect just makes me happy🤞🏽
@gianna I love your videos 🤤😍
Hopefully that's how it is and not just for the cameras! 📷
they’re doing it for the video
Yeah on camera
@@sion2697 No, they are not. Not speaking for every player or coach, but bat boys are highly respected throughout the league
What a dope job lol. That’s awesome. Especially how all the players and umps respect him. I play baseball for 17 years and never realized how involved these guys actually are. I like the relationship they have with the ump.
So cool to see this. I've always wondered what a Bat Boy did as well. Honestly, it's amazing to see Colin give away so many souvenirs to the kids. With one simple gesture like that, you could literally be changing their lives and possibly inspire one of them to become a professional baseball player down the line. Great stuff. Thank you for sharing!
Not being a baseball person I actually had no idea that there was a bat boy but This is so great, he really takes pride in his work and is humble and the guys and officials all treat him just like he’s one of them , great to see .
Also how much stuff this guy has to remember , it’s crazy
I wish baseball (and other professional sports for that matter) highlighted the work of the crew more like this. It really shows the passion and how much work goes into MLB teams.
I like how you take care of the fans because everyday except for the season ticket holders it's a new group of fans and the kids might never get a chance to interact with a ballplayer, but they will remember that they got a ball at the game.
This is awesome. Dude could easily be the director of gameday operations on the collegiate level just from watching how he multitasks. Love seeing people work hard and appreciate the position they're in.
What a great hustler! Thanks for doing an awesome job to help everyone have their best game possible.
We sat behind Colin once or twice. Kid works his butt off. And is great people. 💪
This video is excellent I’m a Mets fan but this is what all teams need to show behind the scenes making everyone look human
This is so cool. Please do more of these videos with other employees
Being a die hard Yankees fan this was a great video. How the players and the umpires respect his hard work. Great job.
I love how he acts like it’s normal to hug David Ortiz
Never knew the bat boy had such a relationship with the players, and visa versa...
These videos are awesome! I've been to ton of games during the 2022 season, and He was a class act every time. On more than 1 time he came over and made sure my daughter got a used game ball! If you see this just know we appreciate everything you do and look forward to seeing you during the 2023 season! Keep up the great work Col!
I never understood that hey let me give this kid a ball who doesn’t care or remember it..
Cool story. Kind of wish I had a similar job where I was constantly moving and not stuck at a desk creating TPS cover sheets.
As a Red Sox fan I’d love this job, my grandpa was a bat boy for the cubs in the 30s
I did this for 4 years with the New Orleans Zephyrs former Triple A affiliate of the Astros and Nats during that time. I loved it. My last game was two days before Hurricane Katrina made landfall
A lot of work behind the scenes! Much respect to these guys who make it look so easy!
In 1958 and 59 I was bat boy for the Washington senators. My duties were to keep lemons and oranges sliced and in the water bucket, that there were at least 4 ladles for the players to drink from (pre OSHA) and keeping Beeman's gum on the end of the bench. I also took care of the catchers mask and wiped the caked tobacco spit off the leather guard (I think that's why I developed a dislike for tobacco) . I did get to have one of the best seats for the games! And then they went to be the Twins.
Literally my dream job, glad to see him living it out!!!
No number on the field but #1 in our hearts, kap is the 🐐
i have a whole new level of respect for bat boys and girls now
This is an awesome video man. Thank you for making this
This is a sick and hard job. Would love to do this one day
Love this kid ... an absolute beautiful hardworking caring humanbeing .... I salute you kid ⚾️🌟🤩👍
Brooo didn’t realized how much they did. Bad ass!
HUGE RESPECT its a lot of hard work but he does it well and is very friendly too.
I enjoyed your video. In college I was a manager for the football team. I might not have been a player, but I was treated as part of the team. Traveling with the team, being in the locker room, being on the field and just talking with the players because they are friends. It is fun being that close to the players and you have each other's backs. Great video. Brings back memories.
Working at the beautiful Fenway must be a dream for everyone involved. Great video.
What an awesome job! I honestly never knew that much went into being a Bat Boy. Much respect!
Kid deserves all the respect
How much does a “bat boy” like him make? I’m sure it’s less than what he deserves but more than he ever wanted ❤
I'm no expert, but I think if their team goes to the post-season, clubhouse staff can start to make meaningful bonuses. Every win on the march towards the World Series is a big deal for staff in lots of ways. Trevor May mentioned this on one his videos.
One of the best videos I’ve seen! Loved it! Great insight!
This was so awesome! Thanks for the behind the scenes look!!!!
He’s knows his shit!
What a great guy who loves his job. They have a way more responsibilities than I thought! Nice to see the way the players and umpires appreciate him. Great video, thanks.
Need more BTS content like this. Like clubhouse stuff, people just working at Fenway, more A Day In The Lifes. These are awesome!
Great video thanks for showing us what it's like to be behind the scenes.
Wholesome and very humble dude. He LOVES his job
Absolutely fantastic!
Funny how much the job has changed from my time on the bench! keep going, lot of things still the same but different. Good to see, and bring back some memories! thanks for that
Did I just become a Red Sox fan because of Colin Jones?! Great job taking care of the kids at the games.
I’m loving the BDS energy! Have a Day big fella!
Your so lucky!!!!
Number 1 Boston Red Sox Fan
This was really cool to watch! Had no clue how much went into the job. Thanks for posting!
I was a Batboy myself for the Asheville Tourist back in 1992. Loved it. Best job I have ever had.
I NEVER knew who the bat boy was for my favorite baseball team now I know! I learned a lot just by watching this clip this guy does alot! I never knew what all a bat boy does that's a lot of responsibility. I love it! It also brings joy to my soul to see the love that this guy gets from the players and everyone that's apart of the Boston Red Sox including the umps pretty awesome! #BostonStrong⚾️
Makes watching a game in a different light. Well done sir.
This is amazing. Do more! Colin is quite the man on the team!
Absolutely fantastic! I started out being extremely envious, just imagining being surrounded with the Sox for my JOB. Working at Fenway! On the team, but not a player. I'm getting chills thinking about it. Then....it went on and on and on with all the crap he has to take care of, and I was immediately more realistic that I really don't want to work that damn hard. Looks like he does a hell of a job with it too. Good luck to him.
This dude is a class act. Well done. Got a feeling he will be around the Sox for many years to come.
This is awesome !! Loved seeing this side of the game
This just got recommended to me and I am loving it. I know this season the league is auditing bat boys and girls, to make sure they're quick and keep up with the pace of play. I know this guy won't have any problems securing his job!
Awesome job, Colin!!!! 🙂
This dude does the most work and gets paid the least. Although, he does get to meet the players and here’s some pretty cool perks that I’m sure makes up for it. What a cool job to. Keep you young at heart.
As a Red Sox fan, that was great! I had no idea about that. Very cool.
Guardians fan here, but this was a really neat video. Well done, Colin.
Great guy working for the greater good of the team, keep him around!
Never realized the responsibility of a ball boy. Nice to see the respect shown to him and vice versa! It takes a village!
Loved that!
Takes me back when I was a ball boy for the Salt lake Bees triple A team, used to loved the dinner and game itself definitely do not miss cleaning and scrubbing shoes after a rainy game.
This video put a smile on my face
Wow that’s a tough job. Impressive. Love the behind the scenes stuff.
Man I been a redsox fan since I was a kid I’m 35 now and had the pleasure of going to my first redsox game last weekend. I love the redsox and I love Boston I even caught a foul ball to take home.
-Love from Texas
Bat boy to exec....I'm rooting for you man. LGM
I love this content... great job!
Clubhouse and equipment staffs are the hardest working members of any team. The hours are ridiculous, but not as much as the responsibilities are. Bravo!
What a dope job
This is like a dream job! So cool to get to see what goes into it
Besides being a player this is hands down the 2nd best job on the team this guy makes kids just as happy as the players
such a wonderful job I luv this guy
I really did like this video. I want to see more content like this. How he talks to the umpires is cool.
He is not a kid but a man who is part of a team/organization playing a kids game at the highest level. He seems to be a nice, humble person with a ton of responsibilities! These are the great stories of professional sports. The stories of the people who are not making millions of dollars but simply just getting it done!!
Love to see this kind of content wish more teams did this
This was so dope. Great vibes!!!
Redsox need to keep this dude, has high energy…
this was awesome
Man that is seriously the coolest job tho, super charismatic dude
Loved watching this video
Great little documentary!
Thanks for sharing.
This was awesome to watch
Awesome video!!
I hear that these bat boys rack in the "Tips" at the end of each Series (and seasons) from the players for doing a great job.
what a great video. Sox are lucky to have Colin!
This might be one of my favorite videos on youtube ever.
Much respect! You're a batman baby.
Just wanted to be a bat boy my entire life. Glad I got to see behind the scenes!
Wow, a lot of work and a lot to know. Not an easy job. Much respect!
What a fun job that would be, he's perfect for that 👍
Living the Dream! Hard work and all.
This is incredible. Talk about a dream job!
I smiled this whole vid. Hope Colin is still with the sox
This boy has muscles
He really loves his job. I want this job. I want this job I love baseball and I love cleaning/ being organized.
What a dream job... I'd never leave
My man has a great gig. I’m jelly!
This video fills in a lot of gaps that you never see in game videos.
