Comment #2: Everything about this duet was epic. So all the Idol wannabe’s from this year’s contestants to all y’all out there in TV Land…this is what you aspire to become. The talent and years of hard work to make it seem effortless. Ruben did great…got up there, relaxed and confident, and took care of business. But Jordan…oh my goodness…joyful heart rending beauty…and that smile…my oh my…and puttin’ on the moves, puttin’ on the Ritz! And her voice perfectly matched to what the song needed…and those runs? Each note another step taken with precision and perfect pitch and execution. It just doesn’t get any better than this ladies and gentlemen. And lastly…the orchestration…the staging…THE BAND…the backup singers…EVERYTHING…thanks you for the perfection. And the last thing…even Miss Perry had to back off of her typical quest to be the center and give it up to Paula. I had to laugh. So I HAD to be feeling good.

Worth the price of admission right here. Jordan has the magic. She picks you up and carries you just with her joyous smile. I’ll take her over Carrie Underwood any day, all day long. Stunning! And Ruben has only gotten better since Idol. Amazing since he was damn near perfect then. If this duet was the only thing Idol ever gave to the world it still would have been worth it all.
