  • 21 year old Sam Sulek has recently gathered a large following rather quickly on social media due to his body transformation. There has been some discussion about Sam Sulek recently on his Reddit forum about him going bald due to steroid abuse. There is so much misinformation out there which is why I thought this video was important to not only explain things to people but also Sam and others if they want to save their hair and avoid hair loss in their future. This is the inside story.

Finasteride won’t help Sam if he is taking anything other than testosterone. The reason finasteride works for naturals and men on TRT is because testosterone is metabolized into DHT (which is significantly more androgenic than testosterone) by 5AR, the latter of which finasteride inhibits. The moment you introduce any AAS that are either not affected by 5AR (tren, all DHT derivatives such as Primo and Anavar, etc.) or steroids that become MORE androgenic when 5AR is inhibited (nandrolone), finasteride no longer confers any significant protection against hair loss. In the case of nandrolone, it may even worsen your hair loss.

Agreed, and some of the findings in studies contradict others 100%. They say high Testosterone causes hair loss, due to the conversion to DHT. And then another study says, low Testosterone causes hair loss as well. But how can it, if you have low testosterone, than you have less DHT. Ive actually questioned and shown these to so called experts, and they never have an answer. Also, for the "experts" that say you cna hack your genetics, take ceian supplements, foods, etc to help. Then explain to me a ton of homeless people, meth heads, or drug addicts that obviosly treat their bodies like shit, and have full heads of hair. They arent following any hair care regime at all.

@@BENCHIPED You're incorrect. You have men who aren't on gear going bald (norwood 6) at 21.
Plus the mirror image of same is flipped. His hairline dips up on his left side and get his right side is more straight. This is normal. In the photo of him jumping in the pool, we have no way of knowing what side his profile is facing.
Again, the fact that his hair is still dense while on (presumably) large amounts of gear shows how strong and resistant his hair follicles are to DHT.

i don't know what to think about this, im on steroids for 2 years know. When I started my hair length was down to my chest so I had very long hair for a men. I got bald because I was exhausted of my hair, not because of losing them. And while I was using steroids I didn't notice one day that i´m losing hair. I received my receding line when I was 18 years old so I can say it's one of my genetics flaws but that is in my Case. I speak here for myself.

There could be a couple of things going on right now he could be on a compound that's making his hair fall out and as soon as you come off your hair grows right back. Plus we really don't know what his hair look like right before he jumped on steroids, and this could be just his natural progression even without the steroids.

This is why you must water it twice a day, expose it to lots of sun light, and routinely run a rake through it so the surface stays aerated which can soak up the nitrogen in the air. Then it grows like crazy. The down side is that unless you're capable of cutting your own hair, it just becomes another monthly expense which over 30 years can amount to over $20,500 in hair cutting appointments, not counting tips.

I have horrible genetics for going gray. Some of my female cousins were almost fully grey at 21. My moms side of the family had the horrid gene. In high school like 10% of my hair was gray, or at least 5%. I have been dying it, because if I didn't I would have been mostly grey by 25. Bald I wouldn't care much at all. I have been shaving my head on and off since I was in 3rd grade, and have good shaped head and always looked real good bald. If it happened I would just shave my head. I wouldn't choose it though obviously, but it wouldn't bother me. The gray gene just annoys me because it's incredibly rare. Some people have like no gray in their 50's, and I was already 5 to 10% gray in high school. You can dye yours though, and hopefully it's not too gray. Sometimes gray can look good though as well.
