What episode of "Hey Arnold" is your favourite?
Helga on the couch.
Shit got real…
Mugged and the Journal
That's a tough question
@@hanezutchins2786 idk bruh it was so many good episode like Harrold barmitsa Harrold the butcher 🍖 🔪 the headless cabbie 🐎 👰♀ ect
You gotta do top 5 man hey Arnold got to many good episodes lol
I was an adult when Hey Arnold was on, but I really wanted his room - a cool setup with an awesome skylight.
What's not to like? More proof that well-written children's shows can be entertaining for adults.
Everybody wanted his room
Arnold and Helga's love will live on forever in my eyes! This show stuck with me far more then most kids shows of that time! It might not have been my favorite back then but it's messages stayed with me and had more of an impact on my life then any of the others!
I honestly love the friendships and the different personalities explored. I hated how Helga treated Arnold though. bullying is NOT cool!
Legendary show.
Wasn't this the best show of our childhood? Craig Bartlett is a genius!
3rd best for me. But yeah.
I only watch Hey Arnold during the original run, but I think I actually watched every single episode of Hey Arnold at least once. I remember getting SO hyped for the 3D episodes. I never realized it but this show genuinely shaped who I am as a person today

I'm rewatching it now at 23 years of age. Lol
The vibe in the show was sooooooooo calming & urban! Being from a big city it deff can be relatable to the trails and ups and downs of urban city life! Love Hey Arnold so much! Its deff one of my comfort shows!
So. Nobodies going to mention how mind blowing it is that matt groening and the creator of hey arnold are brother in laws, like british families of royalty marrying eachother in an american and animation context. The question is was their success and mastery due in part to their meeting of the minds post their achievements, or was it totally serendipidious that two of the most genius animators and story tellers of the 90s who would create generationally defining masterpieces knew the same girl? Like wth. That should be a historical snapple fact
Were brother-in-laws. Craigs wife divorced him recently.
Wow interesting 🤔
amazing video! really took me back to my childhood. Hey Arnold has always been one of my favorites as a kid, but I was never really ever to put it into words why
well-thought out video, truly encapsulates what's great about hey arnold! i can feel the adoration put into this video and it makes me so happy. thanks for helping me remember the show, keep up the awesome work ^^
Stay awesome too.
I was there! Harriet the Spy was a movie 8-year-old me was super-excited for. And... I'm not even sure at this point whether I remember it, or I just remember remembering it, but I definitely saw the pilot for Hey Arnold! that way. My response? "There's something I'll never watch!" The off-beat humor and... distinctive character designs put me off. But, maybe because it felt cool seeing something on TV that I'd seen debut in theaters, but I ended up watching it, anyway. And of course, there was so much more to the show than the pilot had conveyed! Hell, even though it was never one of my favorites, I actually ended up liking the episode of it, too - it worked so much better for me once I had a feel for who the characters were. Like, I'm not sure I was so aware of this as a kid, but I have never related to a character more than to Helga Pataki. I don't have her behavioral issues, but her obsessiveness, her dramatic nature, her self-awareness, her use of magical thinking to deal... These kinds of characters tend to be romanticized, but with Helga? The text definitely takes her feelings seriously, but at the same time, it gets into how messy and embarrassing it all is; it strikes an incredible balance there! And there's actually way more to her relationship with Arnold than I ever realized as a kid! Like, because they both experience feelings of loneliness and abandonment, and have to look out for themselves in different ways... I kind of got the feeling that Arnold felt connected to her there, and I need to stop, because I could talk about just this relationship all day. Ugh, I love this show so much!
If you like Helga so much, I highly suggest watching the MTV show "Daria" if you haven't already. Supposedly that was a reason why the show about the Patakis wasn't picked up by the once-interested MTV--network felt it redundant with Daria on.
The setting and music stuck with me. Much love from Australia!
lol arnold. i love that arnold helped everyone. such a pure loving soul!
No matter what I'll probably always view Arnold's outfit as him wearing a kilt. As a kid I thought it was cool that he wore a kilt and no one cared, and as a kid before streaming, we missed episodes, so I never saw the (2?) episodes where he shows that it's a plaid shirt as a kid only ever as an adult. Anyway great show and still holds up now.
At first, I didn't care about Hey Arnold since I didn't know what it'll be about. After seeing the show be in crossover games and people ranking it high on their nickelodeon show rankings, I decided to give the show a try. Hey Arnold turned out pretty well when I watched some episodes so far and I loved when he was a person who helped people and was a kid who lived a normal life like we all usually do. I wish they would continue with a sixth season and onward. It's still now one the best shows I've ever watched.
What a beautiful masterpiece Hey Arnold is, my favorite cartoon ever.
Hey Arnold the greatest SOL western animated series. Debate your uncle 🚪🚶🏿♂️
I’m super surprised you aren’t more known. Super well produced content.
Bob and Miriam wouldn't be as bad if they neglected Helga when she was in second or third grade because it would show that they actually cared about her at some point. But neglected her since she was in preschool is really low.
Probably since she was born ...
@@michellesmith9256 I don't think so. I think that Bob and Miriam were happy to have another kid, but they were too enamored with Olga's piano playing that they forgot to take Helga to preschool.
It’s a show relax
Thank you so much for this analysis man! CZcams needs more 90s content ☺🙏
There goes to show that business contacts are imperial in breaking an idea!
Now I understand everything!
Hay arnold is favorite show and I love the characters and my favourite character is Helga because she's Fierce and strong
Stinky better
Just a little thing: pigeon man's suicide was never in the cards. Craig has denied that multiple times
Arnold's Thanksgiving is the only example if Helgas parents caring about her. Only Olga did -- albeit in a selfcentered way before that.
Its why she admires Arnold so much. He was the only one to do so.
Aside Phoebe.
It was never a option to have him commit suicide. The creator stated this in a video interview.
Ahhh wish I had a Helga type Chicky in my life, but Ive become more like pigeon man without the pigeons.
Cool show, love it football head 😀
Acid Jazz. Thanks!
the scariest episode was the ghost train
Nah that's 2nd headless cabbie was a little more creepier 👰♂
Ahh Stoop Kid!!! Legend! I loved this show as a kid, but as an adult I find Arnold very annoying for some reason. The show overall is really good still though. I am 37 and spend most of my time watching 80s and 90s cartoons. Oh dear but also oh well. I love it and this video is great!!!
I think a lot of people think he's a goody-goody; my dad and I did, growing up. But as an adult, I really don't think that's it. I think Arnold just has a highly developed sense of empathy. I think he especially identifies with feelings of loneliness and being left behind because of his parents. Plus, being that empathetic is also not something a lot of people understand, so that compounds the situation... He just has a lot of feelings! And I think also... And also because of his abandonment issues, he wants to feel needed by others. There are also times when he goes to extreme lengths to fix something or make up with someone, even when it's not his fault, and that, to me, seems like he wants a sense of control - he wants to believe that he can make things work out for the best, because the idea that you could end up on your own is too scary. ...I haven't thought about it that much.
@@Hakajin Peter was an asshole though

I agree.
I understood his character because he is like me.
That was pretty great :)
Glad you liked it!

Keep strong. Dont forget that despite the evil in this world, God is full of justice, mercy and love.
Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die" - if we break one in thought/word/deed it's as if we're guilty of all of them. Quite simply, living by the law (which is doing everything perfectly) is impossible for sinful humans
. The law shows us that 1. We will die in Hell if we fail to follow it and 2. We cannot save ourselves BUT, 3. God's perfect, immovable law points us to Christ, who followed and fulfilled the law in thought, word and deed perfectly in our place. He did what we couldn't and did it on our behalf. He was then sentenced to death on a cross, and took our personal punishment for our sin, paying our penalty (like paying our fine) completely FOR us, and has given us freedom.
If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us back into that previously perfect image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life. It's not about following the law - perfectly, as it's impossible - it's about letting Christ in to guide and teach you and obeying Him through His power (not ourselves as it's impossible without depending on His power and instruction).
He is our substitute in His life, death and resurrection. He essentially rewrote history in our place so that, if you believe in Him, it will be as if you had never sinned if you accept Christ's death as our own in our place.
He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it.
He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. Hes giving EVERYONE a chance, He wants everyone to take the free gift of salvation from Hell. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through His power and abiding (staying) with Him. So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to follow His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and let Him lead in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the ultimate victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, pray for Jesus to come in and He will do what we can't. Give us The Holy Spirit who will guide us in the right way.
NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER. Regardless of what you've done or what you're going through you CAN make it through Jesus.
If you have any questions let me know

Great video.
Honestly I’m glad there won’t be new episodes. New shows are so woke these days and HA! Would probably go the same way. I personally don’t want to watch Arnold preaching about his white guilt and privilege.
The show was already in the direction you claim to hate so much ...
It was quite Liberal and based in a very multiracial city. The female character Helga was also probably the true protagonist of the show. Craig said so himself.
But yeah youd rather the White Savior complex type stories of The Journal and The Jungle Movie.
Adknowledging racism and hatred abd how complex that can be is not "white guilt". Only White Nationalist types without empathy say this.
@@michellesmith9256
It’s my favorite cartoon of all time. So clearly I don’t have a problem with it being multi-racial. Doi!!
Being multi-racial isn’t “liberal” or woke, it’s just being accurate to city life. I’m all for it!
Being “woke” or “sjw” is when the show panders and insults cultures by tipping the scales. They make all white men villains or insecure pansies. They show women with no realistic human flaws. And every conflict is ALWAYS about white guilt and sexual bigotry. These issues are not prevalent in the real world and people see that and know that it’s just pandering.
I wouldn’t want to see HA! Go this pitiful direction like many other shows have.
Good storytelling requires its characters to be HUMAN, flaws and all. No white saviors, no black gay female saviors, no saviors AT ALL. Just real characters.
@@BloodnightStudios wtf have you been watching that you think THAT is woke? Thats like what the alt right wing thinks is woke. What even
