No wonder it was my favorite. The creators weren’t fake or ass kissers.
This show was ingenious. It had that bold '90s art style that was whacky, but not as edgy as Rocko's Modern Life or as gross as Ren & Stimpy. It was easy to watch but not dumbed down.
I liked rocko but I didn't like ren and stimy that much. Tbh... I don't like gross out humor
both Stephen Hillenburg and Mr. Lawrence worked on Rocko’s Modern Life and the early episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants.

Angry beavers was so much better than Rugrats
Rugrats isn’t that bad at all either. I love The Angry Beavers and the Rugrats too. I also love Hey Arnold!, CatDog, SpongeBob SquarePants, Invader ZIM, KaBlam!, Blue’s Clues, Blue’s Clues & You!, Blue’s Room, Gullah Gullah Island, Allegra’s Window, The Fairly OddParents, Pinky and The Brain, Animaniacs, Tiny Toon Adventures, Jimmy Neutron, Pelswick, Rocket Power, As Told By Ginger, Little Bill, Little Bear, Action League Now!, Franklin, Kipper, Maisy, All Grown Up, Oh Yeah! Cartoons, The Wubbulous World Of Dr. Seuss, Bob the Builder, Doug, The Ren & Stimpy Show, The Patrick Star Show, The Loud House, The Casagrandes, Kamp Koral, Aaaahh!! Real Monsters and Rocko’s Modern Life.
It's a shame that Dagget is so misunderstood in the cartoon series but I still like him and Dagget should become more popular and given attention and appreciation.
I know this comment is three years old but I just want to say that I agree wholeheartedly. I did not like the way he was treated on the show.
I have no doubt that the way he was treated could put any real person in danger of suicide. Everyone in his life was constantly insinuating that he was unwanted, or even telling him outright. It didn’t even matter whether or not he did anything wrong; everyone would treat him badly anyway, and I blame a lot of his outbursts on the poor treatment he received. He was definitely a victim of ableism.
I wish Nick gave that show a reboot for the new generation.

In one of Old School Lane's podcasts in March 2017, Mitch Schauer expressed his desires for doing an Angry Beavers reboot, made for TV movie, or a spin-off based on Stacy and Chelsea (Norbert and Daggett's younger sisters, who are named after and voiced by Schauer's daughters). It may be one of the most underrated Nicktoons in Nickelodeon history, but I think The Angry Beavers deserve more attention and respect by getting a reboot. What do you think, all you Angry Beaver and old school Nickelodeon fans?^-^
This, Rugrats, and Hey Arnold were the reasons I would keep Nickleodeon on all the time when visiting my grandparents.

I remembered angry beavers was my favorite nicktoon and I had a small crush on Norbert (don’t ask). I heard rumors what happened behind the scenes like the shut up complaint saying the change happened because someone’s mother called Nickelodeon. I didn’t know it was because of herb.

I love angry beavers and I find it very unfair that Nick was angry because supposedly "the cartoons couldn't find out they were" So that in the end they won't even stay with that "rule" like dora the explorer or one of the most "recent" the loud house or the casa grande (Very good video by the way)

I remember The Angry Beavers a lot because it’s a really great show. Richard Horvitz and Nick Bakay were great at being the voices of Daggett and Norbert. Daggett is always my favorite character in The Angry Beavers because he cracks me up laughing when sometimes he gets really mad and says Spoot and when him and Norbert do crazy things and Daggett says “Yeah, Baby!”.
Nickelodeon requiemed bye-bye beavers because it told the kids the truth. I guess they’ll never see it

Great video! Super informative, lowkey never knew most of this and I’m a grade A beavers fan. I had known about the lost episode but had always heard the reason it didn’t air was because the nick rule not to end a cartoon.
I find it odd how parents were upset about the blimp crashing and Norbert saying “Shut up,” but weren’t bothered by the blatant sibling abuse happening in practically every episode. In the same episode with the blimp crashing, “Go Beavers!,” Norbert savagely beat Daggett with a stick for no reason. If you’re going to get upset about something that almost looks like terrorism, you might as well also get upset about what is clearly domestic violence.
Am I the only to think this show deserves a reboot?
The Angry Beavers reboot isn’t really going to happen because it already ended in 2001.

I felt bad for the people that worked on The Angry Beavers, they clearly know what they were doing the show, trying to appeal to all audiences, but the executives at Nickelodeon was always stepping in and butting heads with the show’s production team, trying to make this show for the young demographic.
This isn’t a preschool show, nor a show that aired on ABC, CBS, or NBC to follow FCC regulations. If The Angry Beavers was made on Cartoon Network, it would have lasted longer, and CN would’ve have given Mitch Schauer more creative control, similar to how CN gave Danny Antonucci creative control for Ed, Edd N Eddy.

This show was great
"They didn't sit down to write a cartoon like 'Wait, we need to have them go to the store, or go to the circus;' they would sit down and come up with a situation, and go from there." If only that's how it were done today. Now, they need to check all the woke boxes before considering comedy.
I ALWAYS 💭 this show could've EASILY gone on for at least another 2-3 seasons because it had a really original wacky sense of humor...There's a REASON why I have the complete series on DVD & still happily 👀 it to this day.Nickelodeon has made more than a few blunders over the years...Just 👀 at what they did to the charming show "Harvey Beaks",they completely screwed that show over.If you find any good material to talk about from Harvey Beaks,do a video on it because they definitely got a raw deal in my opinion.Hopefully for the Angry Beavers they'll at least do a special little movie with them like they did for "Hey Arnold" & "Rockos modern life".Catdog deserves a movie too honestly.

SpongeBob is currently the longest running Nicktoon.
After the 3rd season, yeah it went down hill pretty fast, I'd say season 4 of spongebob is the last bearable season.
