How to Make Square Hamburger Patties That Fit Perfectly in the Freezer and on the Grill

This is the quickest and easiest way I have found to make a perfectly square hamburger patty that will fit nicely in the freezer or on the barbecue grill. After the burger patties are frozen they can be quickly and easily thawed to use In other recipes such as spaghetti, Chile or meatloaf or even sloppy Joe's.
Many people have asked the question, why are Wendy's hamburgers square? I'm not sure if this is how Wendy's started making their old-fashioned hamburgers, but my family has been doing it this way for years, so I just thought I would pass on the tradition. I hope you like the video, and no I don't use a square hamburger press.

Thanks for the outstanding info. To fit my square fry pan, I was looking for a Square Hamburger Press, but they are expensive, then you have to buy the square separator papers & a container to store them in the freezer so you don't get freezer burn. Your idea is soooo much simpler, cheaper & the patties actually fit the slices of bread & cheese.
Just a note: I buy my hamburger & Sausage from my local meat market, by buying in bulk (10 Lbs. or more) I get 20 cents or more off a pound. Also I know that the meat is locally grown & not shipped in from China or somewhere that the USDA has not regulated the quality.
