      Definitely make an appointment with your OB and get checked for it because it sounds like it could be that. Lex Fitzgerald had it and it’s so bad for the baby.

      I would talk to your doctor about maybe writing or telling you a mild allergy medication to take. Sometimes you have to be careful with what you put on you while pregnant because of this type of situation. It could also be an allergic reaction to your self tanning stuff. I would talk to your physician and see what they recommend doing.

    100% agree with the cholestasis comments! I had nothing like that until 37wks 5 day with my first daughter in 2020. I called my dr and told them my ankles were randomly beyond normal itchy. They did a blood test to check my liver enzymes which ended up being very elevated. I was induced that night because she was already term. I now have to have it tested and monitored for every future pregnancy.

      Same here I had it with my first child back in 2021 I found out I had it at 36 weeks and had him 38 weeks bc how serious it is. Mine wasn’t has bad as yours mine was just my feet and hands would constantly itch I have eczema already so I have always had very dry skin lucky my sister had two kids before I had my son and she looked it up bc she even said that I was itching more than usual so I talked to my doctor and turned out that she was right it’s a very scary thing at first but I am glad that they were able to catch it before 41 weeks.

    Oh, Katie! Have you seen your doctor about it? As someone from a different culture (Brazil), I sometimes get really stunned, and also quite worried, at how long some of the Americans I follow tend to hold on in pain before going to the doctors. Here, if sth gets to that point (the redness, the itchiness, the pain from head to toe) we go to the ER, or, if pregnant, we call the OB/GYN, but, in both cases, we do so, like, straight away. But then the healthcare systems are different from country to country, right? I don't know how it is for you, but I really hope you're been well taken care by your doc, girl, and that the advices from your subscribers are only adding to it. Sending you love! 💗✨✨✨

    • @Kristinhays
      @Kristinhays Před 3 měsíci +1

      Doctor visits are very expensive here in America unless you have quality insurance so people will take a few before going to the hospital. Healthcare isn’t cheap like other countries which is sad

    • @HeartFeelings.Sharing
      @HeartFeelings.Sharing Před 3 měsíci

      @@Kristinhays Oh, alright, that's what I was guessing, so that's why, for sure! Here, there is a lot of things that are really chaotic still, but healthcare, esp. for middle class, is pretty good and affordable. And also public, completely free, healthcare is provided by the Government and most people is well served by it, but not all, though, cause not all states invest the federal money in it properly and honestly. Still, in general, we def. have easier access to the doctors here. Thanks for sharing the info! 🙏💖✨

    Hey hon I had icp during pregnancy and as a result have had elevated liver enzymes my entire life. I’m 52 now and was your age when it began. I never mentioned it to my ob as I thought I just had dry skin!! Please please call your dr asap!! Also my son was born severely jaundiced as well and I had to go home without him so he could stay under the lights and on oxygen as he was in respiratory distress from the jump. As an adult he has bad asthma and gets bronchitis often. I’m not trying to scare you and it could be “just dry skin” but I doubt it since you’re developing the plague and redness already. I recommend seeking out medical intervention yesterday!!! I’m praying for you and sending good vibes your way!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

    I hope you’ve found some answers for your itching. I was going to say my sister had symptoms like that and found out she had Celiac disease (she was not pregnant, late 40’s and going into perimenopause). I also have a male cousin who had severe intense itching and was diagnosed with non Hotchkins Lymphoma after dealing with and trying so many different things to cure the itching for almost a year. I hope it’s nothing serious and just a reaction to an irritant like laundry soap, body wash, lotion etc.

I would talk to your doctor just to make sure it isn't anything more concerning! See if you can use calamine lotion while pregnant. That is something people use for itching and pain. It sounds just like cholestasis.
    Itchy, dry, and painful skin is one of the biggest symptoms.
    Please call your Dr and keep us updated.
    Also, in the meantime don't take baths everyday. Colorado's water and dry air probably make it worse.
    Use unscented lotion. Make sure the lotion doesn't have alcohol.
    If I were you I'd use Aquaphor as well.
    There's also Working Hands lotion that works AMAZING for extremely dry skin.

    You need to call your doctor and be seen. There is something that starts with a C that causes itchy skin in pregnancy. It usually is later in pregnancy but it can show early just not as common. It needs to be monitored if it is the C thing. It can also be the oil and lotion making it worse. Please call your doctor.
