    When cutting through grout with an oscillating multi tool, it's common to use Carbide Grit blades for the job, however, they tend not to last as long and not provide as good as a cut as Diamond Grit oscillating tool blades. The fine finish on a quality Diamond Grit Oscillating Tool Blade provides for a more seamless cut and also provides extra durability for the long haul when cutting against grout over and over again.
    Always remember when cutting grout, for the most accurate and safe cuts, make sure to cut both hands for the best results AND minimal pressure against the multi tool.

    Good idea for residential projects but when you have 3000 sq ft in a restaurant that opens up for breakfast at 6am u dont have time to go back and hit it twice. Grinder, diamond blades and vac is the way to go

    how much grout should be left on the sides of the seem? it looks like you didn't get it all, even on the second pass. is it advisable to get all of it, even if it means wearing down the sides of the tile slightly?

      I do this for a job fixing leaking showers every day... Good quality 18mm snap off knife blades and a wheel lock knife so you can lock the blade in position good gloves if you're not super confident and shave any excess grout off the edges... Sometimes it's too hard for a knife and that's where a rotary tool with a diamond ball can come in handy they wear out ridiculously quick though... If you're planning on doing this job with no experience you are going to chip tiles and make it ugly accept the inevitable and start somewhere thats least visible first.. I'd also recommend a good vacuum and look up the arbortech mini grinder 1.5mm blade or 1.2mm thick for thin lines it's way easier than the multi tool it's super fine dust so don't listen to him about the shit going everywhere cause it will with the multi tool too the arbortech has a vacuum port built in so it sucks most the dust away straight off the blade

      Take it all up. Might have to manually chip with a hammer and scraper.

    Can this cut through Asphalt?

    • @wonderbladetool
      @wonderbladetool  Před 11 měsíci +2

      The specific blade used in this video is for cutting grout and is for an oscillating tool which moves from side to side, for cutting through asphalt specifically, it is best to use a circular saw with a Diamond blade.
