While all three of the other heroes are pretty awful in their own ways (bow and sword guy are bad at thinking ahead and planning out future events, and spear guy is straight up the dumbest man alive), I think the sword hero is probably the second best behind Naofumi. He clearly values fairness and honesty, he seems to be a decent bit smarter than the others (excluding Naofumi, who’s obviously a good deal smarter), and does the least dogpiling on Naofumi, since he was clearly skeptical about Naofumi’s accusations since day 1.
I agree with you on the Sword Hero. Also, when he is told by Naofumi about the rotting dragon corpse and how he, Raphtalia and Filo almost died getting rid of it, he doesn't do any mental gymnastics that were triggered by any sort of bias, he takes that with the fact that said quest was marked as "cancelled", puts two and two together and apologizes for being careless. In general, I feel like even if the dumbest person alive had a thought process like the Sword Hero, their stupidity would be a lot more bearable.
Fake rape accusations will do that. Besides everything else: robbery, attempted murder, attempted regicide, attempted murder of her younger sister to seize the throne, slavery, bribery, cheating, etc. Hell that's just the LN content that's been animated so far, she actually does far worse later on.

Ren and Itsuki are both way more level-headed than the spear hero alone. I was super happy to see them standing up for Naofumi after the duel. Of course, Ren is more neutral and open-minded than Itsuki so it makes sense why Naofumi reached out to Ren for help instead of the other heroes who have a clear bias against him. Matsunoya is the most annoying and for some reason keeps sucking up to the damn Bitch, even after the trial. Well she sucks up to him and in return he became her dog.

To put it in Undertale terms, she's an unironic genocide rout tier psycho without DETERMINATION to save her from herself or mend her crimes. There's very little to forgive her with left. Framing, multiple attempted homicide, facing trial by peers and being given a second chance to survive by her victim, only to turn around and continue to make multiple further murder attempts against said victim (SPOILER!) and even attempted matricide (END SPOILER) before finally paying the ultimate price for her psychopathic homicidal tendencies. Bitch was quite literally irredeemable long before her end.

It's interesting how levels work in their world. Usually you have no chance in hell to beat somebody 25ish levels higher then you. In other animes like Overlord levels are so ridiculous you'd need like 10+ levels 85s to have am chance against a level 100. But with proper strategy a defender can beat an attacker twice his level. It's an awesome scene :D
You know.... Malty is one of the few girls who I think deserve to be a hentai protagonist.... and not the wholesome ones.... To put it in Undertale terms, she's an unironic genocide rout tier psycho without DETERMINATION to save her from herself or mend her crimes.
There's very little to forgive her with left. Framing, multiple attempted homicide, facing trial by peers and being given a second chance to survive by her victim, only to turn around and continue to make multiple further murder attempts against said victim (SPOILER!) and even attempted matricide (END SPOILER) before finally paying the ultimate price for her psychopathic homicidal tendencies. Bitch was quite literally irredeemable long before her end.

I felt that Motoyasu had to be punished for egoistic and pompous attitude and character but this is beyond what I expected to happen to Motoyasu. He deserves that . In fact that scene made me laugh so hard that even after coughing, am still laughing whenever I see this scene.

The way they handled Marty’s character during the trial… God, I was like “that slave crest’s punishment doesn’t even scratch the surface of everything you’ve done! And besides YOU brought this upon yourself!” 😂😂😂😂 then when the climax of the trial was happening, I was like “you hypocrite! How low can you fall? Do you have any dignity left at all?” 😂😂😂

As i was saying. He has no choice. Motoyasu has a spear and focuses more on attacks. Also he’s a higher level than Naofumi. Normally, how would a level 20 (or whatever naofumi was.) player compete with a level 45 character? But in this case, its different.

It's interesting how levels work in their world. Usually you have no chance in hell to beat somebody 25ish levels higher then you. In other animes like Overlord levels are so ridiculous you'd need like 10+ levels 85s to have am chance against a level 100. But with proper strategy a defender can beat an attacker twice his level. It's an awesome scene :D

The spear hero isn’t actually a bad guy he just though naofumi was a terrible guy because of melty. In a spin-off where he dies he gets sent back in time to when they were summoned to the world and tries to become friends with Naofumi
