I'd say that the Katana chose Raphtalia only because of her Noble, Humbled and caring Character. And even her good deeds compared to that blue haired person's selfish desires.

So.. has there been ANY scene in season 2 that actually followed the fucking manga?
I mean the manga's also an adaptation the LN is the source but I also think it deviates from the LN.
