Voix chaude et intensité dramatique qui servent un aria difficile.
C est un excellent ténor.
Quelque soit le pays, l important c est que le chanteur apporte son interprétation avec sa sensibilité.
What a tenor! He is a Hummer at 300km/h. As he starts you feel a baritone, not a tenor. You never expect such a powerful voice reaching those highs. He sounds to me pretty drammatic tenor or at list spinto. He just manages his voice as he wants. Chapeau!

I stand with Ton Marina below. A fine rendition, both emotionally and technically, of one of my favourite arias. Piotr Beczala is easily high among today's top operatic tenors. A superb performance.

All these negative comments. I would like to hear them sing this aria. I am an aficionado and he ranks up there with many of the best tenors. We all have our favorites. Does that mean we tear down everybody else. Snobbishness does not equate to forwarding this wonderful art form to future generations. Grow up all you-would-be tenors. If you can do it better, step on to the stage and prove it to us.

Singing policeman from Finland sings Cavaradossi remarkebly. It is here at youtube when Petrus Schroderus was singing at Finnish national opera.
Nothing wrong with this performance whatsoever. This is a very solid lyrical performance.
Job well done on a difficult aria. Thought hid phrasing was very good as well as he having a beautiful voice. As some other comments were made that Corelli sang this better. True, but you can’t compare Corelli to anyone. Franco Corelli had a beast of an instrument.

¿Por qué micrófono dentro de un teatro cerrado? No es lógico. Y es micrófono para amplificar voz porque es de diadema. No es micrófono de toma de sonido para grabar.

The extended long phrasings made the rendition flat and boring, there’s a shot where the conductor seemed to be second guessing his tempo

no, I think he was singing a lot better at the beginning of his career. You guys probably like his voice like I do, but his technique is quite bad. His talent is very rare, so it can hide the vocal technique problems, but the wobble is quite obvious. There are tenors at 60-70 years old who don't have this wobble in their voice
Whoever taught him technique needs to stay away from teaching singers how to sing
