    What really upsets me is that Willow was literally designed to shine the light on people that don't get that opportunity. And the person who actually sided with Willow, Madmartigan, is now being outcast. Worse, the actor is physically crippled, so the show is literally ripping on a disabled man who can't defend himself like normal. Without Val Kilmer this show would have never existed, if they're not going to include him, they should at least respect him

    You can just tell this show has zero respect for the original movie when Sorsha flat out tells Willow to his face "You are not a great Sorcerer and you never will be."
    I legit still can't believe she actually said that to him. The whole point of the movie in part was showing that Willow is capable and yes we saw he could use magic with just a couple of days of practice. Hell the High Elwin an actual sorcerer told him he had the potential and the fact he was the lynchpin in the whole story should've made that obvious.

    Log cutters would work as a large team of men and draft animals with carts and all sorts of heavy equipment. Huge felling saws for two people, more types of axes, hammers than you can even imagine, planers, draw knifes. And not to mention the cookstaff, the laundry people, the teamsters who carry the timber and firewood to sell. And if it all possible you would want it on a river pre railroad so you could float them down the river to the town who would probably be using them.
    Edit - I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt of the lesberonis make charcoal but I doubt the writers are smart enough to know how charcoal is made.

    • @Molarhorizon
      @Molarhorizon Před rokem

      Interestingly, its essentially impossible to watch a nanosecond actually. Think about it, if you put the show on then chances are you may not know how bad the show really is, so they would have to watch multiple whole seconds unfortunately, and then come to realize that the show is thus unfit for eyeballs and turn it off. If however the person is to have the foresight to not see the product because they are aware of the terrible quality they then would never put it on at all. SO 0 seconds, or multiple seconds seem to be the go to. You can see the dilemma in that the process to achieve true nanosecond material would be to have some high tech super nano fitting technology to halt your watching of said atrocious show, a hammer would suffice but that would risk the show being on for more than mere seconds so it is best to not tamper with the aforementioned nanosecond controversy.

So glad I'm not watching this crap. Claremont wrote a very good story. They should have attained the rights. Sorsha and Mad Martegan died early in Elora's life and she was raised very separated from everyone around her. She broke out of that life to find truth. On the question if a wood axe would cut through armor.
    As someone who has lived in rural Maine, chopped wood every year for a wood stove, played lumberjack games, and built cabins in boy scouts with chopped wood... No. An axe with the common amount of wear on it would have to be hammered in unbelievably hard to go through plate. Even razor sharp, it's not gonna go through steel with any ease. And mind you she looks likes she's moving with the speed a normal man would casually swing around a mauler (mix a sledgehammer with an axe, so heavy and slow). That swing wouldn't even break bark.
    Now, give a wood axe to someone who can swing it like a baseball bat then, yeah, I can see it going through plate. But more likely it'll be more like a sharp-blunt rending effect. They're more broad, thick, and heavy to cut-smash though wood. It's why you chop at angle to gouge out big chunks. Steel isn't going to splinter and pop out like wood so... No. Unless you're Babe Ruth... No.

    * If they need to slow the heroes down - use it to carry an injured party member
    * Plot challenge device - Use it as shelter from a severe storm or attack of some kind
    * Split the party plot device - Leave unnecessary party members with it while the others go to rescue Elora

    Hard agree about media needing to provide good depictions of selflessness and proper sacrifice (for the good of the whole/ others) to young men - the dignity of putting oneself knowingly & willingly into the line of fire to protect others is as timeless a trope as they come, and for good reason: the aspects of the Hero (mythically and in a real, modern sense) are universally beloved because they represent what is noble and good in the human soul. A person’s character becomes noble and heroic when they decide to act for the good of others, that’s the development of sheer decency in any person and to deprive younger viewers of that kind of role model on screen is to basically neglect our stewardship of these most important lessons. If these writers continue to represent men as vulgar, contemptible, unworthy villains, what message is that sending younger viewers, especially men? They WILL internalize this message.. This constant shaming of men and boys is a vandalization of the concept of a hero- and these writers have nothing to put in its place because they don’t know what actually makes a person admirable, relatable, aspirational... They’re so morally opaque themselves -they’re conveniently oblivious to their own bullying of an entire gender- they’re completely willing to corrupt and pervert masculinity without any regard for who it hurts, it’s incredible how they can be totally blind to their hand in demonizing an entire group of people. There’s no heroism in this condescending, woke evangelism- there’s senseless harm being threaded through audiences who watch these warped depictions. Virtue is not harmlessness - virtue is having the capacity to harm but making the choice not to do so, being instead responsible and considerate for one’s capacity to injure, and wielding one’s power thoughtfully. There’s no virtue in these writers’ choices… I’m sick of seeing male heroes torn down because it’s easy & ‘popular’ - write a good story with a real hero or get out of the way, anything less than that is lazy and in bad faith 42:34

      There's actually a branch of socialism that teaches to do exactly that. The idea is to destroy a peoples history by destroying their stories, their heroes and so on. In doing so, people become less interested in learning about the old versions, which makes classic heroes (and thus classic thinking) easier to erase. The end goal is break the people down so they won't SEEK classics and only RECEIVE what is given to them. It is no coincidence that many of these "writers" are leftists and its the same reason so many leftists deliberately become school teachers. The man who actually put this aspect of socialism to paper was an Italian, of whom I have no idea what his name is, but this aspect of rewriting stories has been there very early on even before he put his ideas to paper.

    Who actually asked for this show!? Who thought this was a good idea? I enjoyed the movie and that's it.

      Destroy the past.
      Make everyone as miserable as me.

    I watched the 3rd episode just to see how bad it was but halfway through I couldn’t take it anymore. I’m done, I’m never watching another minute, it’s shocking how bad this show is. Some people compare it to Rings of Power but I disagree. RoP is disappointing because the quality is so far off the level of the movies and books, but I think it’s a watchable show, and there’s parts that I enjoy. Willow is a complete disaster, something went horribly wrong during the production of this. It has a big budget, but it looks like it was made by drunk high schoolers.
