Hang in there friend. Life is a journey with plenty of ups and downs. If every day was perfect, we wouldn't be appreciating life's highs.
I retired a year ago, and one of the reasons was to take better care of myself. Like you, I had been struggling with weight and related health issues; e.g., bad back, high blood pressure, achy joints, poor mobility, etc. No amount of exercise seemed to work. After a few years of research, I decided to eliminate sugar, carbohydrates (rice, bread, pasta) and processed (junk) foods from my diet. In its place, I ate more meat, fish and plenty of vegetables.
Within 18 months, I lost 17% of my weight, and that was with minimal exercise! All of the aches and pains disappeared, and I could run and play with my dogs again. It was a revelation. I now feel 30 years younger. Anyway, I thought I'd share with you my own journey to better health.

Thanks for the thoughtful response. I think I was just a little burned out, back on track now…hopefully

We all need some fun in our lives, something to look forward to, a task or hobby to improve at - a bit of banter, a few laughs & chronic pain steals that from us - I truly sympathise! No one is upbeat & positive all of the time - we get stuck in the doldrums, caught up in a private hell of our own making & my way out of it is to leave positive comments on as many YT videos as I can, especially tiny channels like ours, not to get a response especially, but just to imagine that perhaps one person will wake up, read my comment & smile, be encouraged or just feel that tiny bit better about themselves or their situation!! I'm 69, on MJ 5mg (not going so great) crashed my skateboard yesterday - MCL torn off the bone & Meniscus tear - may heal without surgery but months of physio at the very least but I've done it before & I can do it again! PS just go to the beach - no one is watching, no one cares!! Everyone is caught up in their own lives - you are invisible to them! :)PPS love your editing & compositions - very classy & I may very well copy!

Good video, the honesty of what we ALL feel sometimes when we are in a rut. I get these feelings as well at times. Feeling stuck.. Like a hamster on a wheel.. People need to hear they are not alone and others have to fight their way through this as well. I found for me I had to write down a few goals on a whiteboard so I can see that there is something to strive towards and you can see small wins and that you are going somewhere instead of anywhere. God bless man, I pray you have a great day tomorrow! Gods mercies renew every morning!😊😊👍👍

This video did not suck. Thank you for sharing your feelings and your story. I am a mental health professional and felt the need to comment (I watch all of your videos, but rarely ever comment on youtube). It's ok to have bad days, weeks even, but you know yourself and if it goes beyond that, please discuss with your doctor. You have been very busy with all kinds of stuff and responsibilities, you are dealing with chronic back pain and have not been engaging in your usual self care. It is normal that your mood is affected. Hopefully you will get some relief with your back soon (I must admit, chiropractors freak me out and I have been warned not to go with my back problems).
As for weight loss, it is completely normal to fluctuate sometimes, and learning more about this has been very helpful for me as a gain or stall would normally destroy my motivation. If you are feeling aimless with this journey, I would recommend reaching out to a registered dietician that works with weight loss medication.
You are an inspiration and a real joy to watch every week, no matter what the scale says. I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks for the thoughtful comment. I think I'm just a little burned out, that all. Things will get better. Hopefully I can get back to playing golf soon, I really miss it. As far as my WLJ I think setting a goal for a month from now may help keep me focused...Hopefully. Stalling is definitely part of it an WLJ.

I don't know about your specific drug as it isn't the main name brand (ozempic)- there's warnings about those feelings. Messes with the dopamine.

Your back hurts more after the adjustment because you’ve been realigned and now the muscles/ligaments/tendons have to adjust to being back where they belong. Keep stretching and drink more water.

Thanks going back tomorrow for follow up. I figured it would be more of a long term process, hopefully will be back soon
