      I’ve used the 180gr sigs on hogs very effectively. It averages 16 inches of penetration with roughly a silver dollar sized hole; and generally puts any hog down if the shot is anywhere close to the cns. For urban settings I run full power 135gr loads which are absolutely devastating with limited penetration.

    Not sure what others may think about it but I have a practice philosophy with all of my guns: "Ride the Lightning in the first 3 Mags." The idea being that you want to get an idea how that gun is going to behave in a situation where you may have a bit of a quick finger. Some people can handle shooting a gun slow and steady perfectly fine, but as soon as they let it rip they find they can't reset quickly or safely, and so the idea is to figure that out in your first 3 mags so, hopefully, you can get at least most of your money back if you so choose to, or to at least go forward knowing you'll need a lot more practice in controlling that recoil.

  • @Lift_these
    @Lift_these Před 2 lety +18

    When the 10mm is really understood, it will become the round people thought the 45 was. Having a Glock 29 size and capacity is better with a 15 round back up mag, for CCW. If you can carry a 357 magnum or a 45 why couldn’t you justify having a 10 mm; that argument is silly because, it’s obvious. Also the range of bullet grains and velocity. You can go from a low powered 40 s&w to a potent 10mm with grains out to about 220 or 250 grain bullets; Which is about the weight of a 45 acp. So 10mm is King 👑!!!!💪🏽 Instead of “Go joe”. GO TEN!!! The real American hero…..😂😎
    It’s the best SHTF type of firearm because, it can also shoot 40 if that’s all you can find. If I can do it all over I would just have 9 mm and 10mm Side arms….. But of course I had to be greedy and have many other calibers but, economically 9mm and 10mm is all you need. Then a rifle and a shotgun or two…😁

The jams were like everyone else reported…the bullet caught on top lip of chamber at an angle. I tried the HST 200 grain with no jams. I called Smith and Wesson and they said not to use more than 200 grains. They test their guns with 155-200 grains of Blaser and CCI ammo. To each their own, but logistically speaking .40 S&W is just 10mm short. Theres nothing wrong with .40 but if have the choice between .40 or 10mm I'm taking 10mm everytime. The only real advantage I see to using .40 is the ammo is more common therefore more easily accessible.

    Hey, Hegshot: Nice video. Nice information. I like 9mm as well as 10mm. But there is 1 thing about 9mm that I REALLY don't like. Many people, including you, say: 9mm is very capable, and it might be, but there is 1 scenario where I have very little faith with 9mm, and it is: Shooting highly intoxicated people. There is a video of a police officer stating: 9mm just doesn't do the job as good as the .40 (10mm is stronger). In today's life, I have seen so many people using drugs. I have spoken with some police officers, and they have said the same: 40S&W stops highly intoxicated individuals with 1 or 2 shots, whereas 9mm just doesn't. Do you have any thoughts on this?

SO BY THE STATS ALONE IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT IF YOU USE A 357MAG, 9MM, 40, OR 10MM. WHAT MATTERS IS THAT YOU CARRY A PISTOL, YOU GET SHOTS ON TARGET FIRST AT DISTANCES OF 0 FT TO 20FT.
