You'll be more shocked when you realized that most of the songs requested were not the popular B-sides for fans except for Trick, Express 999, Mood Lamp, and Villain.
Ballad songs from SNSD are top tier so I can't believe no one requested a ballad song. One last time (my top 1 ballad), Light Up the Sky, Sailing, Complete, Mistake, and Forever are some of the most popular ones. Other popular B-sides from them are Lucky Like That, Seventeen, Closer, You Think (this one has MV and they ate), Goodbye, Oscar, Way to Go, Kissing You, and Baby Baby.
My personal favorites that may not be popular with some fans are Paper Plane, Green Light, Only One, Girls, Europa, Sunflower, VITAMIN, My Best Friend, and Etude.
Oh yes Taeyeon is a soloist from Girls' Generation. They all have great vocals and all successful in their own endeavors! I'm surprised no one recommended a ballad because snsd does well in the ballad department since their vocals are superb.
Some of these recommended b-sides are even better live because they are performance-based, such as Sign and Express999.

Some of my favorite B sides are in their Japanese discography (and some of their best title tracks, like Mr. Taxi and Bad Girl). There is a lot to say about Jessica and the parting with SNSD, but for now I will only say that Jessica had a unique vocal sound that they never quite replaced, which does not take anything away from the great vocals of 8 member SNSD.
I discovered SNSD in 2019 (via Tiffany in Sisters' Slam Dunk actually). I embarked on my subsequent SNSD discovery in strictly chronological order beginning with 'Girls Go To School' and then their various promotional efforts in interviews and "viewable radio" before finally getting to their MVs, music show and concert performances. Therefore I was never as invested in OT9 the way 'original' SONE's are, so I never experienced the shock of Jessica's departure as they did/have.
The members' voices are so distinct, I can easily hear when Jessica's voice is present or absent, but it doesn't bother me...perhaps because SNSD has such a range and depth of solid and exceptional vocals, and have performed re-arrangements of hits due to various absences that occurred even while they were 9, that I don't dwell on the absences...they still sound effing great and the variations are part of their skill-set. As 9 or 8, they will always be SNSD to me.

Taeyeon is one of the very very few idols that was able to cross over the kpop border to being an singer/artist at least in Korean/Asia. Korean public knows her songs and she has been charting for 16 years now, in SM she is the only soloist that korean public knows some are successful but all fan based driven success. Taeyeon has both kpop fandom plus public and critics and industry respect
Here's an explanation for the intro to Villain: "Uh, unit 15 to dispatch, over. In pursuit of a black vehicle, license plate GG805. Yeah, we're gonna need backup." Unit 15 refers to Girls' Generation's 15th anniversary, last year, which is when that album was released. GG in the license plate number stands for Girls' Generation, and 805 refers to August 5th, which was the day of Girls' Generation's debut in 2007

Taeyeon is their leader. There are actually nice other b-side from them as well including ETUDE, HOW GREAT IS YOUR LOVE, CHECK, YOU BETTER RUN, ECHO, Talk Talk (from their 4th album) yes they have 2 songs with the same title but are actually different from each other
Their Japanese songs/album is so good, but thier best korean album for me is "Holiday Night & Forever 1" album

i could definitely proudly say that SNSD has the best ballad dischography for a girl group, no one can even close to them like 9 of them has different vocal tone but when they sing together it sounds like one, please listen to their ballad and of course ITS THE SAME TAEYEON 😊 thats why this group has the best vocal line ever, there's 2 main vocal which is Taeyeon and Jessica (sadly she's not in the group anymore) and 3 Lead Vocal (Tiffany, Seohyun and Sunny)

They all are multi talent, some of them doing solo and some other are as actress. Taeyeon focus as soloist, while Seohyun as soloist also actress. Tiffany also a soloist but now she also going into acting. Yoona focus as actress while Yuri also as actress but also as an entertainer in some variety shows and as solo singer. Sooyoung also as actress. Hyoyeon doing solo singer also as a DJ. Sunny enjoy most of her time at her home but she also works on variety show and radio. Jessica the ex-member made her career in China as fashion designer, novel writer and also as soloist singer. All of them except Sunny has solo single/mini album/album. 8:00

I wanna recommend a Japanese B-side is super vocal of 9 girls! That song name is DEVINE pls also with OSCAR, Oscar you will listen to several level adlib up and down so nice.
Older kpop albums had quite a bit of processing and they can sound outdated now. I do have a soft spot for their ballads and pop-rock numbers from that era but their recent albums are most listenable overall. Taeyeon solo has the best discography in kpop imho. Everyone must hear at least the trio of her studio albums in their deluxe/repackaged versions and then I don’t know how one can resist checking her minis after that.

Getting into Snsd in 2023 is the Kpop equivalent of discovering Britney Spears in 2023 but dont worry lol it's gonna be an exciting and thrilling journey, thank you for your reviews and reaction. Girls' Generation have so many different genre's and nothing sounds repetitive. Most music critics have called them the textbook of ggs. They were literally the turning point for ggs in Asia thats why many groups are inspired by them. They make every concept they do become so popular in Kpop that there is literally no group that has not tried their concepts now lol.

Destiny is an overlooked b-side, supposedly performed only once live. It was on the Gee EP, and not sure how, but I some how missed listening to this song, until about 1-2 years after I started listening to SNSD. It's so different from the rest of the EP, especially considering Gee. It's an EDM/Dance track, and I was blown away by it, still one of my favorite songs by them. I'm almost convinced that some sort of legal issue happened, because it is on the EP, but basically never mentioned, and pretty much never performed, other than the one rumored time. If it was a ho-hum song, I would understand, but it is a REALLY good song, so I don't understand why it has gotten so little attention. If any other song sort of resembles it, it would be Express 999, so if you liked it, most likely you will like/love Destiny. Mystery surrounds this song..

talk talk is actually 2 different songs, the first talk talk that you listen to is the second on the album I got a boy (reportedly this version of talk talk was supposed to be the tittle track but became the b-side on the album i got a boy; 2013). talk talk (IGAB album) has a Japanese version with the title "Boomerang".

Yay! All my recommendations made it (and of course others recommended the same songs I did. I got lucky😅)! I just had a dance party in my living room!!
I knew there would be lots of amazing bside recommendations, so I tried to go with some that were more obscure like "Wake Up", which I don't know if you caught the lyrics but it's a pretty serious song about realizing you were in an extremely abusive and toxic relationship. Not a common theme to address back in the day.
I am surprised no one recommended "Bump It," but honestly, that should only be heard via the Phantasia concert performance with the canes lol
Also I believe the earliest release here was 2009 and the last two songs here were just from last year. It's amazing how they've grown and fifteen years later are still growing. In particular, it must be acknowledged how far the dance line has come vocally.

NGL I'm a little disappointed you didn't check out Soul but maybe in another video. It's actually my favorite track of theirs. You'll get a Dreamcatcher vibe from it and the vocals are insane. Some good ones on here though and more GG is always a good thing. Japanese tracks are really good as well.

You make some great reactions everytime some mnees were performing. You also mentioned some particular memeber ypu made those reactions for. But not for one person and that's Sunny. Some very big and noticeable reactions were observed whenever she had line. But ypu never said anything. Can you please elaborate on your thoughts of her. I only asked because you haven't mentioned anything about her on your favorites, but each time she's onscreen you have a big reaction. I know this experience worh that many talent of the 8/9 girls was overwhelming. I remembered my first time discovering them 14 years ago and my life was never the same.
