I remember that I saw a short movie of her when I was a kid. I don't remember the name, but it was related to bangles. I watched it on doordarshan. From that day, she is my favorite.

I have heard and enjoyed many conversations before, but this one really hit me inside because I have faced some of the issues she had brought up. She s right if you have experienced it only, you know how difficult it is to face the world

When even a Zoya Akhthar shrugs and says "everyone can make a film, come and produce your own work nobody is stopping you", it shows just how much the so-called Bollywood industry is detached from the real world and proud of it. GullyBoywas still okay as a film but I think the reason Nandita remains so vrounded is because she, aas she sad, actually interacts with the real world.
Zoya Akhthar was an example because she's a capable filmmaker which makes it all the more disappointing.

As Nandita is talking about people's perceptions about her, my perception is that she claims to be a feminist but remains quiet about more than a dozen women accusing her father Jatin Das of sexual misconduct. She'll lecture others about it but when it's her family, she remains quiet. In my perception, she's a hypocrite.
