Thank you so much for all of the information you provided! I purchased the same speakers and used the stock radio and they worked great. I did do some sound deadening on the doors which helped as well, but my Titan sounds great now!!!!
I have a '22 Titan with the fender system. The highs and mids are fine. The bass, not so much. Im going to add an amp and 12 inch sub under the rear seat.
The sound has been OK. It was really hampered by the factory head unit. I just posted a video on upgrading the base head unit to the Nissan Bosch factory nav unit. It gave me a huge boost in sound. So much better. Much more bass and significant increase in top volume. I finally feel like the speakers are performing well for the money.
I just purchased a 2017 Nissan Titan Xd Platinum Reserve with the diesel and the Rockford Fosgate 420 watt sound system. Does your video imply it’s a stronger system? Should I have to upgrade too? You should sell me the dash speakers
My understanding is the Rockford Fostgate systems use an external amplifier and also have a subwoofer under the passenger seat. So, your wiring is somewhat different and the system is an upgraded option. I'd say if you are happy with the sound why mess with a good thing. If not, a speaker upgrade may be worth it. You also most likely have a center channel speaker directly in the center of the dash. So the setup is very different from the base radio.
I did need to drill a couple of new holes. I just used a larger stainless self tapper to secure the speaker bracket. As for the staple gun? I hadn't noticed. Must have just been laying around in the video. I didn't need one for the install but sometimes my work areas accumulate over time...
@@lewkerby I have a 2018 platinum reserve ,I have the Rockford Fosgate, I think they are crap.I swear my old 06 Titan sounded better. I bought it new sumthang wong........lol
@@theaveragejoesgarage5418 I just ordered some Cerwin Vega 6x9s & some 6.5s. Got really tired of the factory ones rattling. Thanks for sharing your build!
The ones I got were "for Titans". Seems they fit multiple vehicles depending on application. There may be a direct for adapter but I just used what crutchfield sent me.
I bet you're a real hit at parties... 🙄 Ohm is the rating of impedence. The higher the ohm, the more impedence, or restriction of power, through the device.
Thorough video convincing me to hire out the speaker install. Thanks!
Hahaha. Glad to be of assistance
I wish you had shown exactly how you disassembled the dash. That's my only concern as I upgrade my speakers. Still a great video! Thanks man!!

Dude..thanks for the instructions and for bringing the heat with that jam in the background 👌 😅 Starts ripping around 10min in
This video has been sooooo helpful, thank you!!!
Man, I hate when I forget the dag'on shrink wraps when soldering! Nice job on video.
Titan, Makita tools, touch peel and stand as a test... think we were separated at birth man... good vid. saved me time.
Can't go wrong with Makita. Tried and true.

Hey joe, how do you replace the dash speakers. Do the speaker cover just pop right off? 29:39 29:42
I can't find the front kit on Crutchfield do you have a part number
Nice video. I'm curious where you got the flat sheet of ABS. I haven't seen that before.
Amazon. I think it was around $7.
Awesome job!
How do you know the positive and negative on the dash speakers when you cut off the connector ?
The red wire is the positive. I lucked out really.
Were these 2 ohm replacements?
Infinity and JBL both have 2 Ohm models as well.
Infinity reference model best bang for your buck.
A few months in how do you like the sound now? Are you running factory headunit?

Can you put the specific info on the tweets out there? I can’t seem to find them on crutchfield.
I got the tweeters off Amazon. Here's the link:

So, you used 4ohm in the dash?

Thanks for the video doing super informative. Did you have to drill new hole for the front door? What was the staple gun for?

Hey Joe, did you throw away the old speakers?
They currently reside in the landfill....

Don't they have spacers made specifically for titans?

Hey so it says online that there's speakers under the front seats but I don't think there is otherwise my ass would vibrate would it not
I think that is for the rockford fostgate systems. They have a sub under the seat. The standard system does not.
subd justnto follow the speaker install

When you say Ohms, I think you are meaning impedance.
Speakers are ac not DC devices.
It's a common mistake.
