- This is an old deck that once played Trasious and Tymna. But some cards was printed and I decided to use Jodah archmage eternal as the commander instead. Let the video explain way.
In the beginning I considered Arena rector bad and only casual viable. Now I think we can use the creature card in cEDH.

@@cedhtv I run more walkers and dualcaster + ghotly flicker instead of isochron + reversal coz I dont have those nice 0-cmc artifacts. Ghostly flicker also works nice with those other etb creatures.
Marsil can be very mean as a combo general I have one built in paper and most of the time I feel like the game is archenemy lol.
Any way to stop Jodahs ability besides stifle effects? Once it's out it's anything for 5. Once Omniscience is out it's pretty much over.
Kill Jodah. I think that is the best way. You have to do it before he untaps. And stifle don't work btw. Jodhas ability isn't an activated or triggered ability. It is a static ability. Often called passive ability.
The other alternative I can see to Nicol Bolas is the mono-blue Tamiyo. You can Tidespout loop her +1 to Stasis your opponents' permanents. Her -2 will draw you enough cards to find a wincon and with her Emblem you can cast any spell an infinite number of times without needing Season's Past or a tutor.
happy you made the deck I planned on building. Already had the flash with the two rectors but will definitely include the seasons past combo that is in yours.
Love a lot of the lines in this deck.
I play some similar lines but hadn’t included spellseeker. With thrasios and ravos as Partners commanders
I run the flash/rector to seasons passed loops.
I often use birthpod or eldritch to rector Into stuff when flash isn’t around .
The tamiyo/arena lines are amazing and work with my win con.
I use forbidden orchard and intruder alarm and suture priest . I animate forbidden orchard so that alarm will untap it every time . Then I simply tap to give opponents creatures and they lose life infinitely .
, fatestitcher, or voyaging satyr both work with dramatic scepter as well.
But the line this opens up is the ability to arena rector into nissa vital force to get back omniscience if it’s removed .
Or to use her as a wincon enabler with her plus one on forbidden orchard because of the haste .
I'm trying to apply this combo package to Golos and see how well he works. Thanks for the deck tech!

Just played the deck;also an interesting line is to get the tamiyo emblem out of protean hulk;instead of getting academy rector get arena rector with the image,and then sacrifice protean and rector while hulk ability is on the stack to get tamiyo and deepglow skate.

first hulk gets arena rector and image, I assume image copies rector? How do you sacrifice afterwards?
If I have infinite mana with bolas and tyrant in play, I'd rather just exile every non-land card from everyone's deck. Cast it for free, bounce bolas, repeat.
It's a failsafe as well, because your opponents almost definitely have card draw. So if you refill your own hand using this method, you can then bounce it to deal the 7 damage and win outright.
But if by some miracle you don't refill your hand enough, they still have nothing in their deck.

Thanks for the idea. I'm currently playing something like this and it's awesome. I still prefer Thrasios & Tymna because early card advantage worked better for me when I needed to get combo pieces asap and also because Thrasios is an always-available wincon.
yes I still think Thrasios might be better for this deck. Because this Jodah don't win once you have the mana. But I like how Jodah open up other expensive card options.
I dont think that mox amber-sol ring loop works to cast razaketh.Jodah’s color identity might be 5c,but he is not a 5c creature...so you cannot cast razaketh.Still...3 out of 5 might be enough.
Also...cannot cast bolas either 😞
There should be more artifacts to fix the mana colors.
cEDH TV uhm...the only one that works for infinite 5C mana is mox opal with metalcraft,as diamond and chrome would require discarding/exiling.
I don't think that I need that. I need some colors not all five.

Will you be updating the list with cards from war of the spark once thing get fully spoiled?
I update most list when I have time. Mostly there is only one card I include from time to time. Don't think this list will see an update.
Ok @cEDHtv I love your lists! I saw the new Nicol Bolas and thought it would be a decent upgrade for this list(I just hope the leak is real) keep up the great content.

I think spellseeker is going to end up almost everywhere. If not a combo card you get a pact of negation.
It is not advisable to put any planeswalker to combo decks
We already put cards inside our decks that don't do anything outside of the combo. Like labman. Jet planeswalkers dose something more then labman. So I disagree. I am not saying that planeswalkers is cEDH legit. But they work great inside this gameplan.
I just found an Omniscience in my box of M19 stuff, which means JODAH OmniRector will be hitting the table in a gamestore near me soon!

Also your version can run rampaging ferocidon as an alternate for suture priest that also stops storm and aether flux decks .

Jeremy Acosta there might be more consistent versions. Love to here about it. Currently the deck is definatly consistent.
Shouldn't the individual piloting the deck be trying to win as soon as flash into rector/hulk resolves?

I got some good feedback and suggestions. Flash into hulk but get sac out let and karmic guide. Hulk comes back to play sac it. Get academy rector and phanthasmal image that enters as karmic guide. get hulk back and sac it togheter with academy rector. Now you get omnisciens in play togheter with a spellseeker that gives you demonic tutor in hand = win from only having flash and hulk in hand.

As my next EDH project, I'd like to build a non-combo competitive/semi competitive hatebears deck. Any suggestions for a commander and how would you build a non-combo (c)EDH deck?
Can Cevik I would use the Tymna / Tana Blood Pod list as a shell if you're looking for a viable hatebears list. It only has 1 combo (Kiki-Jiki + Village Bell / Felidar), but it's effective at shutting down fast combo decks.

I have a friend that want to join cEDH but he hates combos. So i but this abzan hatebears together form him to lure him into the format. Instead of tana you play Sidar of kondor to get past blockers. Tymna is important, you need card draw.
Thank you for the list! I was thinking about Anafenza hatebears deck. That just put me more into the direction. Abzan is just the best color combination to play the fun police against people trying to do dumb stuff :D Thanks!
I kind off agree with Can Cevik aswell. a blood pod shell is a good ide.

I was playin on bigger tournament leviathan and was 3rd, with uprgrades - demonic tutor, diabolic tutor, seasons past, find beacon of tommorows extra turn infinit and finish it and snapcaster was great too
so im trying to build something like this now ..but why snapcaster mage at the end ?

so if that means the more competitive you go, the more tutors and combos you put in,.. sounds very strong but linear and boring in a multiplayer
Not quite. Well you wanna have a lot of tutors. But you don't wanna have to much combos in it. The more combos you put in the weaker overall all your combos become. It is often better to focus at a few combos and make sure they perform really well.
with mox amber you can only add the jeskai colors (in this case) how exacty do you assemble a win from there? razaketh needs 3 black after all, is it that easy to have those available?
you never cast razaketh for three black mana. You cast him for WUBRG with Jodah. Or you cast him for free with omniscient.

I am trying to make the cage commander work. But I am only able to make something semi competitive. And that is fine I guess. Even semi competitive is trying ti be cEDH to. But I am kind of waiting for future cards to maybe make him work I guess.

Well you don't need hulk. Hulk is just good. You need the rector. But yes there should be a lot of personal diffrent tweeks you can do with this list.

yes ... don't know much about it. It felt so RNG. I lost once from on attack to my deck, from zero 9 victory points.
