The fact that they kept the film with the same nostalgic feel, grittiness, and effects, wow. That was a worthwhile trailer.

So why have they used CGI when he says ‘Is this a figment of your imagination?’ When it was practical in the original. Also, what’s up with plane in one scene? My only guess is that it’s supposed to look that bad? 🤷🏻♂️
I usually do NOT like legacy sequels but how can you not like the funny charisma Michael Keaton brings.

It’s funny because Michael looks better as Betelgeuse now he’s older, looks creepier. Looking forward to this! Love that they used stop motion.
Michael Keaton is awesome in comedy roles, he’s great as the Captain in The Other Guys
He was hilarious. That was a very over the top silly movie and he was a highlight

The one thing that annoys me with these modern movies,is they rely so much on the member berries. Instead of making new memorable moments.
Every one of these trailers has the dam song from the original movie only slow. Lazy. Hope it's good. I used to go to opening night for movies. Now I wait a week to hear word of mouth if it's any good or not cause Hollywood is so untrustworthy and frankly the movie industry needs to b decentralized a d get away from the los Angeles bubble of woke woke woke.
I know some are complaining about member berries, but I think it’s fine for a movie that came out in 88 and has been remembered as a cult classic with minimal media about it since. The only constant with Beetlejuice has been the character at Universal Studios, so I think fun references to the original is welcomed. And happy for Keaton that he’s been able to return to all of his famous characters in the 2020s and make some money.

@@Whiskeytosparrow movies are money-making ventures. Every movie you’ve ever loved has existed partially to make money. It’s up to the writer and director to add some artistic and emotional value to it.
For this movie, Keaton having fun revisiting the role, seeing a grown up Lydia, some nostalgic call-backs, and Burton adding to the lore of the Beetlejuice character is enough for me to feel that a sequel is justified.
I spot Danny Devito in the trailer. Now this is great
I may have been burnt too much now, outside of Villeneuve's flicks nothing excites me anymore.

This trailer looks weak to me. The performances and delivery seems weak as well. I think it’s goi g to be mediocre
I'm quite excited for MaXXXine, Longlegs, In A Violent Nature and even cautiously optimistic about Twisters and Alien: Romulus. I think there's plenty of good things still coming out, but unfortunately Hollywood has made most people jaded and apathetic these days with their bullshit.

Cautiously optimistic. I hope it's good, but I'm afraid they won't capture the feel/art direction of the original and that they'll rely too heavily on "remember this" writing instead of it standing independent.
Besides Sonic 3 this is the only other film looking forward to.

I never realized how rare it is to find a film these days that's just fun and entertaining, doesn't try to be something it's not, and won't treat its characters or audience like shit. And wow, I had no idea William Dafoe was ALSO going to be in this! Michael Keaton AND William Dafoe always bring an electric presence any time either of them is on the screen. I absolutely can't wait for this!

Michael Keaton seems to be having a blast. Worth the price of admission. He is such a great actor. He was the best parts of the Flash. Will go see this with friends and have a great time.
I'm so jaded and apathetic towards Hollywood that this doesn't even move the needle for me. 10 years ago i would have been so excited for this but Hollywood has been steadily killing my love for films for the past 8 years.

You can see that Monica is missing her ring finger in the trailer. If those ever when beetlejuice pulled out the finger out of his pocket and took the ring to give to Lidia
I don't know if it is just me but, the practical effects look CGI enhanced not saying it's bad the only part I thought looked bad was the plane burning.
The only thing I didn't like in this trailer was the CGI plane, but aside from that I'm seeing this 101%
I think it's supposed to intentionally look outdated. Try to give of the impression that this was made in the mid 90s.
I love it! The practical effects, the humor, the casting, all of it. Keaton is the Ghost with the Most!

My complaint is how lazy Hollywood is where every resurrected property has to have at the beginning of the trailer a slow version of whatever classic song was in the original movie. Member. Member. I member. Hopefully the movie is good
I want to believe that this will be a good sequel. But then, I remember what keeps happening to beloved franchises.
I'm hoping some of those effects shots are early effects and that they're going to get cleaned up a bit more before release; that plane going down and Beetlejuice's eyes popping out looked like they were pulled from bad video game cut-scenes from the 1990s.
Media has not been on this at all. GREAT SIGN! Means it is not woke and full of creature infestation. I literary smiled during the trailer! It feels like good old silly movies from back 2010! I can't believe I am getting this excited over a movie trailer. It made me happy!

It looks like a goofy family oriented film. Like it's Beetlejuice on the surface but not really Beetlejuice.
A sequel that actually seems like it'll be worth a look.

It looks okay. Not super wowed but hopefully it’s good, the overly powerful strong goth woman lifting someone up by the throat is a bit concerning and I’m hoping she’s not the all powerful strong wamen girl boss that overpowers everyone and makes BJ weak and pathetic.
They don't see her character as anything beyond her 80s teenage self. Which is sad and cringe in and of itself. This is gonna be as bad as Wednesday.

I like how the trailer started all dark and solemn, just like the original Beetlejuice 🙄 It is a tale of a family torn apart by intense drama. It has Michael Keaton again, who will be limited by mobility because he's 36 YEARS OLDER!!! But makeup can hide his age of course, so he can just repeat the same jokes as before.
Winner! And did Lydia Deetz ever change her clothes? She's 36 YEARS OLDER and still dressed like a high school goth chick outside Hot Topic.
All kidding aside, this movie will prove to the world that it has no reason to exist.
They use the same exact gags from the first in the first. It's all member berries. I see the same film, but with better effects.

That's true of most sequels.
They're going to fill the trailer with memberberries duh. Not only do they want to attract the attention of the older fans but for new fans they are seeing things they've only heard about. And logically why show new stuff in a trailer when you can show the nostalgic bits and not spoil anything.
Every sequel does it even Top Gun Maverick had its nostalgia bait in its trailer. People act like it's some great sin but it's just marketing and nostalgia isn't bad if its done right. Bottom line people bemoaning the trailer aren't interested in it anyway and would find any reason to hate on it.
Thankfully the vast majority are very happy with what they see. So if you fall into the former category please do is us all a favor and don't stink up a theater with your presence.

Shame Warner Bros is the studio that is distributing Burton's movie. Still, I trust that this film will do just as great as Dune and Deadpool 3. I know it will do better than the first film.

This is probably the most stacked year for movies I have seen in a very long time... Ghostbusters, Twisters, Alien Romulus, Deadpool & Wolverine, Sonic 3, Beverly Hills Cop 4, and more. The last decade has been over bloated with boring woke MCU garbage that made derivative look awesome as well as some very crappy sequels/prequels not to mention the bastardization of Star Wars... I haven't been this excited for this many movies coming out since I was a kid.

This actually looks fantastic, paired with some leaks we've heard, there's some real potential here. I buy the mother/daughter pair of Ryder and Ortega, the faithfulness of the effects look spot on and it's looks like Keaton got to enjoy himself. We have a few potentially good films on the way these next few months, fingers crossed because boy it's been slim pickens lately. Did not care for the new Apes film
