I tried a weighted blanket for the first time last night and I slept for 13.5 hours. I could not believe it
😂
Which brand did you buy?
I have suffered from horrible nightmares ever since I was a kid and got a weighted blanket about a month ago and my sleep has definitely improved!
I'd give half of my savings to the dude who invented the weighted blanket.
I invented it. I can give you my paypal.
Be mindful of the blanket's filler. My weighted blanked uses glass beads, and in my experience during the cold winter, it acts like a giant heatsink, sapping my body heat and leaving absolutely freezing in the morning. I think it's the glass absorbing the heat instead of trapping it, and then distributing the heat to the much colder outside air.
Basically the opposite of what it should do lol
@@matteo1331 It's good during the warmer months, but if it gets hot enough, it'll trap heat again. It's a late spring blanket, and late spring only.
@@mcgibs kinda pointless since during spring and late spring a normal blanket is just fine.
Well I sleep best sleeping in the cold with a big pile of blankets. Nothing like being cuddly woggaly.
Yes.... that's true... known that since the 80s from Grandma.... she made blankets so thick that you literally couldn't turn over in the bed
I thought only Chinese grandmas did that..
I love my weighted blanket. But it is a pain to wash it.
If you connect with a certain blanket, then it is special and therapeutical to only you.
I love my weighted blanket. The extra weight while I am sleeping helps my restless legs. I haven't slept one night without it in a year.
I suffer from severe anxiety and have a weighted blanket and I love it! My bf kept stealing mine so we got one for him too. Totally recommend them.
Why don’t you just spoon and hug each other while sleeping? Weighted blankets are a single person’s turf.
@@ninjanerdstudent6937 🙄
I think they are a great idea. I bought a queen sized one for our bed, but my husband didn’t like it at all. So i just doubled his portion on to my side. They are amazing. Like getting a full body hug.
My son bought me one, I love it, its very comforting, and has improved my sleep, which I have always struggled with.
I don't have a weighted blanket but my blanket is quite thick compared to normal blanket and it does feel like you're constantly getting hugged
“Im constantly stressed out”
Gorl, same... from one college student to the next.
Sort of like a full body hug....
that's what people are for
@@rain0069 people don’t want to hug anymore
@@magicallyme96 probably not the safest thing to do .... ( sign of the times)
Best purchase I've done. Having great nights of sleep because of it.
They sell clothes like this for dogs. It's said to help calm the canines too.
During the 50s and 60s in Michigan, in a typical 1940s built, un-insulated home... with an oil heater in one room -- the main/living room -- it got really, really, cold in the winters... Soooo, we all learned to sleep with 5 to 8 blankets. They were heavy. There weren't any "high tech" lightweight blankets available...
Interestingly, it took decades before I could sleep -- without -- this weight... 😴 Even in the hotter climates I moved to.
I've heard it suggested that the feeling is the same that swaddling creates for infants. If true, I was an infant for 30+ years. LOL!
I've been using anxiety blankets for over three years and not only does it give you this feeling of being hugged ECT but for me there is a feeling of protection. Not only I feel hugged at night but I sleep better due to the thoughts that I'm also being protected.
Cement blocks are better layer for this as well as wine ivy inserted before bed time.
Whats the difference between these and two or three normal blankets ?
they will make you hotter aswell as not adding up to the 10-30 pounds you can get
My daughter uses one during therapy for autism but they do suggest you actually shouldn't sleep with it because of the weight. If you do it should be lap sized and machine washable
Why do they suggest you shouldn’t sleep with it?
It works
They do help with sleep, but be mindful that they can leak glass beads on your bed which can be very annoying, and if you live in a warmer environment you can get sweaty really fast which isn’t fun
I wish they would make a blanket with 12x24 pockets. So you can take them out and wash them in the washing machine, each 12x24 2 lbs section. You can't wash these in the washing machine. You would still have to take them to a laundromat. How do you clean them?
Yes it is helpful, but I do know other ways to gets a great nights rest every time 😘😉💕👍
Which?
I have one too but I get hot super fast. Other than that, I feel like a cute bbw is sitting on me
Weighted blankets are awesome, but sleeping on the floor is awesomer :) ! No, really, I bought a weighted blanket because I was very stressed and it helped, but I still struggled to fall asleep. A few months later, due to back pain, I slept on the floor for several days and when I went back to my memory foam mattress bed, I realized that sleeping on a hard surface was something similar to a weighted blanket. You can feel your body and the pressure from the floor. On the floor I fall asleep very quickly in comparison to when I'm in bed. It's very uncomfortable at the beginning, but once you get used to it, you will never go back to a regular bed! I don't sleep on the floor per se, but on a yoga mat and a folded blanket, yet it's a very firm surface, but nos as firm a hard floor, of course. And I still use my weighted blanket, so I have the benefits of both at the same time.

I tried sleeping with it but after a couple of hours it starts to feel annoying.
I got the 75 lb weighted blanket yesterday and all my its amazing 😊
Wtf even the 7kg one is so much 😂
I'd be stressed hauling that around
I have a camel hair blanket and it's pretty heavy and in the winter it's wonderful
anything for attention huh
Everything sounds good, but considering it's a blanket and for a region with hot weather conditions, I don't think it would be helpful. Instead, it might trap heat and cause discomfort.
Can confirm they work
A weighted boyfriend sure does. Homie said so!
My pad holds no promises.
You know what helps sleep.
Closing your eyes
You might be onto something here.
Does it give the feeling you are being held?
Yes
I want one………..
Sound like a mindset thing
Got a 16 pound weighted blanket and it is so snugggg
I have a wated blanket and I have asma and it does not effect me plus my asma is not bad it is like I don’t have it anymore and the blanket is just 6 pounds so not that heavy we did that so it would be safer for me to use it
Wated
They come heavier than 30lbs.
Wow!
They are being recalled because they are dangerous to some small kids.
No duh!
Anecdotally Naomi is a total smoke show. Wow!
Invest in a futon instead.

Why are you gatekeeping stress?
@@charlieklappenbach6685 she already got enough weight as it is, that blanket wont do a thing hahahaha
Its stressful to go against natural order. 😅
