That's weird, when I'm trying to catch 52lb mirrors, I catch tench😄
I use plastic bait near enough exclusively as hook bait when tench/bream fishing.
Except when I fish worms. I have tried plastic worm but doesn’t seem to have the same effect.
Lovely video, thx for sharing
Could you use these under a float or does the buoyancy means theyd remain on the surface with out some shot added on the hooklink? Would much prefer to use these than purchase maggots etc especially if only fishing a few hours.
Hi Lee, we wouldn’t really recommend float fishing with artificial baits. They are best fished on the bottom amongst a bed of natural bait.
I've had alot of success fishing with a fake pellet on the float. I got it out of an improve your course fishing magazine. And I use it so I don't have to put another pellet on the band every cast. I just hook it on and it stays on. It did slightly float but I just put a tiny shot 2 inches below it so it sank at a natural pace. And I loose fed the same size pellet. And I've caught loads on it
Well done ad 👍 🎣 🎣 🎣
Is there any point in getting plastic maggots? Because you need to bait up the place anyway so you might aswell just buy real ones
The real maggots or whatever are soft and will get battered by the silvers, but plastic ensures it stays there until hoovered up by the bigger ones
Phil....he accidentally caught a 52lb carp 😂 i use plastic corn soaked in betalin a lot in my carp fishing using Frank waricks version of the corn aligner rig...very affective.
It was a very welcome accident 😉
Regards
Phil
