I like how if you don't nail the turn right before he went into the tunnel, there's a nice steep cliff with trees to slow your descent just in case you are jettisoned off the track.
You should be leaning into the corners way more bro...it looks like u already had one wheel off the ground before u even hit the barrier. With correct weight distribution and line choice u can make it down that track without touching the brakes or the barriers. Damn good effort tho and kudos for picking yourself up so fast!!
Brother's n I used to race ball bearing trolleys on the roads in our early years. Raced my nephew down this luge run when in my late 50s he was surprised that we clened him up. I said to him...'tiger we cut our teeth on stuff like this' Though these days I would prefer sum safety gear rather than loosin chunks of skin like the dude filmin.

Plus due to the narrow wheelbase you need to hang out into a corner or they tip the opposite way and drag the luge body along the ground slowing you down. You see it all the time. Wild looking track, the ones I have rode are more like a half tube you can bank in the turns like a bobsled track. There's no curb to hit, but you can (by which I mean that I did) fly out of the track.😀

Lol this is after they made it all safe and tame. Knew a guy that was flown to dunedin hospital after landing one of the jumps wrong. There is no jumps or fast parts anymore 😠
I’ve crashed at that spot too, the worst is if you put your foot out to stabilise yourself you will end up crushing it between the sled and the wall on the track when you hit the wall, your instinct is to put your foot out but that’s how it gets crushed

Not in New Zealand - you cant sue for accidents like that - you are covered for injury through a thing called Accident Compensation - which is a Govt run system. Thanks God we dont have the system they do in the US where the first thing people look to do is sue everyone else - much simpler, much fairer system in NZ. IMHO
