    Miley Cyrus starred as Hannah Montana in the most popular Disney Channel show in history. Getting the role was her biggest dream and is the reason why we all know her today. However she did not own her name "Miley Cyrus." This made me question her "wild phase," in 2012 -2014 and if it was a business move or simply her trying to escape her past.

    I think the legal name change was more like Disney owning the name Miley Cyrus, so she couldn't release or perform anything under that name independantly, or not produced by Disney. Then Miley Cyrus was her legal name. The loophole is you are free to use your actual name in any terms you wish. It's your name, so can you create material or perform under it; no-one can say you can't identify using your legal name.

      Right? Britney was victimized the most! Who knows what they did to her! Britney claims to this day they injected her with drugs and other horrific things not to mention she claims they robotically cloned her. The rumor that she died was debunked by Justin and doctors in the 90’s and Britney herself has mocked those rumors and proved it’s still her because why would her family control a clone when a clone would automatically listen to them? Clones have no free will so they wouldn’t rebel so obviously our Britney has been with us all along plus clones can’t get pregnant because even biological clones don’t have the reproduction to create a baby. Cloners wouldn’t be dumb enough to do that. My dad is a physical scientist and explained this to me. If someone is truly cloned, their DNA may be the same, but they are basically a robot. They have no soul. A normal human being can’t live or breathe without a soul or spirit. A biological clone can’t produce children because they are controlled by technology and programmed from birth. So those people saying Britney died in the 90’s have a screw loose somewhere especially since Britney debunked it herself but yeah Miley was blessed. Out of all the Disney stars she’s the ONLY one who made it and survived without a breakdown. She’s one strong person 💕

      I would imagine they also saw the show as her first real big break, especially at first. She was basically unknown to us until HM. I also doubt they expected her fame to blow up as huge as it did & so quickly.
      The other problem is how much these companies can take advantage of a musician when their musical career is directly tied to a character they own. I heard of the same thing happening to the biggest Mexican pop group Rebelde/RBD who had sold out shows worldwide but weren’t really making much money & certainly no royalties because their music careers were directly tied to their Telenovela (also called Rebelde). Again, the artists were young & not huge stars before the show, they also had not expected their music careers to take off the way they did because of the show. Due to contracts, these companies own them for some time.

    • @nleem3361
      @nleem3361 Před 2 lety +17

      The contract is key to any business deal. My engineering contacts teach told the class many times, if you can't work things out in the contact while everyone is in love with each other thinking of the millones they'll make together, things won't work in the long run. Always be sure to review the contract and negotiate whatever needs to be changed.
      Companies generally don't suddenly decide to update the contact to give away profits. That's why they should have contacted a lawyer or consultant upfront if they didn't fully know the industry standards. They even could have limited the terms to year before they'd need to renegotiate. There's lots of options up front, but once the deal is signed, not much can legally be done.

    Now I see why she changed her entire look with cutting her hair, doing half naked photo shoots and dancing on a pole, she was trying to make her own name for herself and her future other then always being known as Hannah Montana. She wanted more mature fans different music and not her always being owned by Disney. I respect her a lot she worked so hard as a child and growing up, the stress she went through on that show and being paid less then others. Being controlled and told who she is and isn’t.. she did good by saying fuck Disney and doing shit her own way.

    I always liked miley when everyone hated her, i remained a fan to this day. She is not a bad person. Everything she did was done for a reason. She also made some really awesome songs. I understand completely why she changed. I'm just glad she is free and being able to be her true self. She sacrificed so much of her childhood so that we could have a fun childhood. Miley has become so underrated it's just sad. She is a great singer/actress and i will continue to support her. People hate her because she is real, not fake like most celebrities. I will stand by her side until the end. Her music saved my life more then once. Our personalities are also really similar in real life, that's why i relate to her so much. #Mileyforever. 🖤

      Same! I absolutely loved the Bangerz era. Hannah Montana premiered when I was like 6 and I still remember seeing the first commercial for the show, literally from that day on she has meant so much to me. All throughout everything I’ve always loved seeing how she grew and evolved. Although her psychedelic era with Wayne Coyne wasn’t my favorite tbh, I thought it was slightly odd, but I still loved that she was having fun and being herself. But the Bangerz era was my favorite, in fact I found it exciting when she cut her hair and well.. the rest is literally history.

    I remember looking at the short-haired, "wild" version of Miley ten years ago. I was 15 back then, and I only remembered her as one of my favorite Disney stars from my favorite Disney show "Hannah Montana". When I first saw her like that, I was completely shattered and disappointed with her for taking that path. Until my cousin and my sister explained to me that she did not enjoy being the Disney girl she was framed into. I did not know it was this complicated contract-wise until I saw this video today. So I actually salute her for sticking up to Disney for herself.

    I'm so glad you explained the reasons behind Mileys wild streak, because people are confused about her actions. That Disney controlled her like a robot or a puppet, and then took advantage of her by underpaying her, makes perfect sense why she rebelled. I really like Miley, and admire her for taking a stand, and taking her life back. Disney is supposed to be a corporation, that supports children and advocates for kids. They have TV shows, movies, cartoons, and theme parks that cater to kids and families. And, to find this out about Disney, is really disappointing. They're about control and corporate greed, and not about kids and families, as far as I can see. Shame on you Disney, and hooray for Miley!

Miley and Shia LeBeouf are two that seem to have succeeded in rebranding to a more authentic present while not getting lost in the sauce.

I vividly remember seeing a teen magazine during her "can't be tamed"-era that had written on the front page "Miley Cyrus - from babe to bitch". WTF? Yeah, calling her a straight up bitch in a magazine read by ten-year-olds is a great idea. It's a good thing she was intentional about it, and seems to have parents who had her back. The media will go after anyone who goes against the grain of the mainstream music industry, and they won't stop until they've either completely tarnished the reputation of whoever they're going after. This is why so many artists/actors wind up dead, as soon as they realise what's going on, that they have no freedom left, they're in too deep to get out of it.
