    Been bingewatching these Mike Tyson videos for months now. The thing that I noticed the most is how small and compact those punches are. It's not small by power it's the movement. It's small, sharp, and compact punches. So far there's nobody else that can utilize it as well as Tyson did. There are moments where boxers will land these type of punches but not as well as this legend.

    • @DepressionShaman
      @DepressionShaman Před 2 lety +7

      That's by design. Peek A Boo was designed for smaller, compact fighters to find openings and get through an opponent's jab, using disciplined footwork and head movement. By the time they close on their opponent, small, sharp punches are what they are trained to land. Go to the body to bring their arms down, the score the knockout punches upstairs before their opponent can brace for it or see it.

If both were magically have been able to fight in their prime I think Tyson would have knocked Ali out in 5 rounds tops. In fact Ali would have probably thrown in the towel, then afterwords made a joke about it... Nobody ever fought with the intensity and focus as Tyson. Buster Douglas was a fluke. He lost more times than Muhammad Ali, who was fighting with Parkinsons symptoms towards the end of his career. Mike Tyson was great but only for a short period of time and I don't rate the fighters he beat. I know he had problems but Ali was banned for 3 years during his peak and had Parkinsons, so I wouldn't say he had it easier. Just look at the young George Forman Ali beat. He was much better than boxers like Frank Bruno and probably punched harder than Tyson, because he was much heavier.

      Cus brought Mike to live with him to train and stay out of prison...King didn't even visit him once . Mikes career would have lasted at least 5 to 7 more years if he didn't change camps....We all know the rest when Don King supplied him with hookers and cars. He was only still a kid...and vulnerable.
