"Wasshoi! Wasshoi! Wasshoi! Wasshoi!“ Great reaction, you just know the live performances of this will be completely wild and the crowd will go nuts! 🤘🤪🤘
Metali is a fusion of the words metal and matsuri (festival). They are inviting us all to dance - I may have this a bit wrong, but there is something in the lyrics about we are all idiots - the idiots who watch and the idiots who dance ... so as we're all here and we're all idiots why just watch, we may as well all dance.

    _Wasshoi wasshoi!_
Glad to see you're back with more BM songs.
We got another banger for Japanese festival or any festival around, they performed this recently at Summer Sonic and hopefully they will do the same at Blue Ridge Rock, Aftershock or Louder Than Life and get the crowd going nuts with this.
It's their first song released with this new BM reborn and formation.
We heard it before the release because they premiere this at Apocrypha - Another One show, and someone leaked this on a fancam, it was fun and really unexpected but everyone was having a blast and even started with a Kami Band solo after a while without it.
The song title is Metali!! (metal + matsuri, which is a Japanese festival) and you can hear it in the spoken section when one of them (MomoMetal) is doing the Kabuki moves style.
Just so you know "wasshoi" is another shout used in Japanese festival when men are carrying the shrine, similar to sore and soya you can hear in Megitsune and Karate.
I can totally see why they pick Tom Morello on this, the groove, the catchiness, the super energetic jump and those typical 90's vibes at funk or alternative metal live concerts.
Thanks for sharing this and see you next time.🦊🤘🎸

    Great reaction, thanks!
I really can't way to experience this one live because it has to be madness. 😁
Great "matsuri" (traditional Japanese festival) influenced song, with a lot of chants and call and response. All focused on hyping the crowd and lead them to sing and dance along.
Musically, it's very groovy and funky and I love Su's clean yet aggressive vocals here. Really cool collaboration with Tom Morello, indeed!
And very happy for Momoko on her first song and music video as an official member including that kabuki style speech she did in the middle.
    Until next time!
    🤘🦊

Thanks from Japan 有難う 💛 I had the same face with yours when I saw this song live for the first time 😄 . The title is a synthesized word from two words : "Metal" and "Matsuri 祭 (festival)" → Metali. And if you want to know the deep meaning of the lyrics please check Professor Hartley's channel (Andrew Hartley).
I witnessed this song live twice : World premiere (live debut) in a special show on Aug.16 and Performance at huge festival "Summer Sonic Tokyo" on Aug.20. At the actual venues, this song followed after the Western Kamis' splendid instrumental solos. Oh My Buddha! 😍 I got hyped like an idiot in the simplicity of this song and Momoko's extravagant elocution and moves in Kabuki style (and her growl in live show) gives an amazing accent in the repetitiveness. The repetitive わっしょい "Wasshoi" is a call or yell used in Japanese Matsuri (festival). It is a kind of phrase to intensify people's excitement and especially to encourage the power of guys who are carrying a heavy Mikoshi that is similar to a float in Western style festivals.
[FYI : In the festival, BABYMETAL was a closing act after 8 artists. Evanescence performed right before them. I was moved to tears by Amy Lee's "Bring Me To Life".]

Thank you for your great reaction! At JAPANESE FESTIVALS, you will often see a group of people carry portable shrines on their shoulders. They shout "Wasshoi Wasshoi... " endlessly as they move about. Usually they are carried by men, but in respect to BABYMETAL, here is a female group => czcams.com/video/dknY49pINvo/video.html Also the main message at festivals are repeated in this MV (Su singing and Momo in her narration) = There are two types of idiots. one that dances and one that watches. If you're going to be an idiot (by being here) be the dancing idiot. So this song was designed to have people dance and shout. This will be totally wild live.
