What is a MOBA?
Multiplayer Online Battle Arenas, or MOBAs for short, originated as a sub-genre of the RTS (Real-Time Strategy) genre. Because of this, in most MOBA games, the player takes control of a single character from the isometric (top-down) view akin to most RTS games. Typically, in MOBA games, a player takes control of a single character on one of two teams. Those players choose characters that all have their own abilities, or “kits”. To win, the players must use a combination of abilities, teamwork, and strategy to not only best their opponent, but destroy the opponents main structures. A bonus to the genre is that most MOBAs are free games, which is definitely a contributing factor of the their massive success. The genre has many titles, the largest of which being Defense of the Ancients (DoTA) and DoTA 2, League of Legends (LoL), and most recently SMITE!
What is SMITE?
SMITE is one of the more recent free MOBA games to enter the fray. In SMITE you don’t just choose a character, you choose a god. You’ll instantly feel an attachment to characters like Thor and Zeus because even if you don’t know the lore behind them, you’ve at least heard their names before! What makes SMITE so immersive is Hi-Rez Studios’ inclusion of historical lore into the gods’ abilities, kits, and play styles. Thor and Loki aren’t just characters from Marvel comics and movies. They’re also a part of Norse mythology and you can take control of them in SMITE!
What makes SMITE different?
SMITE takes all of the strategy of the top MOBA games and adds another layer of difficulty by putting you into the action! Unlike most MOBA games, SMITE offers players the chance to experience the MOBA genre they know and love from a third-person perspective. This unique perspective allows for an extremely immersive experience unlike any other game in the genre. While this doesn’t sound like such a big change, once you play it you’ll understand! All of these things added together is what has gaming websites everywhere continually rating SMITE as one of the best MOBA games available!

Ullr was absolutely a badass, and the Fenrir and Kumba was great, especially for someone to protect another for so long and took a lot of damage

The last play was an emotional roller coaster
Any Smite fan should do themselves a favor and watch the *SPL Fall Week 9 game between C9 and TSM*... the first game was the best game of Smite I've seen in a long time. So many top plays there and the teamfights were hype! Could we have an Inuki feature on the 2nd last teamfight on one of the Top 5 Plays episodes please? It reminded me of Top 5 Plays #45 teamfight where nearly everyone was wiped, except between professional players.
Look at all those exclusive skins, the chest luck is real.

I love people who arn't afraid to take damage for an ally, tanking 1000 damage just to save a friend. Reminds me of a horrible person who i dou lane with, dude didn't want to tank two purple hits, and then ran out of the circle and got it reset.
I had a jungle once that didn't tank my mana camp (I was solo lane with Isis and I didn't have any mana once so ever because we had a huge team fight and he had all the health) then he got mad at me, sold his bumbas and took over my lane... He was banned the next day hehe

+Andrew Tham hehe. I know what you mean! But one thing you have to remember is that this is a team based game and solo plays are going to lack a skill which adds a huge amount of depth to any game. That skill is team work. How players interact with each other.
But also, No offense Andrew Tham but could you send some in? =P It's not like I can go
"Today, I feel like I will have a play where Hercules is about to kill someone with his boulder and Ymir puts up a wall to deflect it into his ally Nemesis who pops her shield up reflecting the damage back to hercules who only just survives and driving strikes Mercury mid-ultimate for a kill and escapes into the jungle healing up a large amount of damage only to be blind sniped by Rama and Janus with the third shot and the snipe happening at the same time but Khepri manages to save him with his ult whilst using teleporting to a friendly Loki who is stealthed so they both appear behind the enemy line to pick off the enemy mage and adc....."
Only what is sent can be selected. Unless I decide to hire 9 actors and we'll fake up some plays. Yes I could select some solo lanes. But if you want to see hercules run around for a bit whilst pressing mitigate wounds and the enemy kill themselves in the tower or someone 5 levels ahead of their opponent who "only just escapes on low health".

After you show the gods that are gonna be in the play you should highlight the boarder with the team color. Its sometimes hard to tell who we are looking, especially when the playmakers aren't on screen at the beginning of the clip.

Will there be a patch coming soon to make replays actually more available? I can't tell you how many times I've had a cool play to me that I made and I couldn't send it b/c the replay was not found. Also, I looked for the replays right after the game ended.
