What is a MOBA?
Multiplayer Online Battle Arenas, or MOBAs for short, originated as a sub-genre of the RTS (Real-Time Strategy) genre. Because of this, in most MOBA games, the player takes control of a single character from the isometric (top-down) view akin to most RTS games. Typically, in MOBA games, a player takes control of a single character on one of two teams. Those players choose characters that all have their own abilities, or “kits”. To win, the players must use a combination of abilities, teamwork, and strategy to not only best their opponent, but destroy the opponents main structures. A bonus to the genre is that most MOBAs are free games, which is definitely a contributing factor of the their massive success. The genre has many titles, the largest of which being Defense of the Ancients (DoTA) and DoTA 2, League of Legends (LoL), and most recently SMITE!
What is SMITE?
SMITE is one of the more recent free MOBA games to enter the fray. In SMITE you don’t just choose a character, you choose a god. You’ll instantly feel an attachment to characters like Thor and Zeus because even if you don’t know the lore behind them, you’ve at least heard their names before! What makes SMITE so immersive is Hi-Rez Studios’ inclusion of historical lore into the gods’ abilities, kits, and play styles. Thor and Loki aren’t just characters from Marvel comics and movies. They’re also a part of Norse mythology and you can take control of them in SMITE!
What makes SMITE different?
SMITE takes all of the strategy of the top MOBA games and adds another layer of difficulty by putting you into the action! Unlike most MOBA games, SMITE offers players the chance to experience the MOBA genre they know and love from a third-person perspective. This unique perspective allows for an extremely immersive experience unlike any other game in the genre. While this doesn’t sound like such a big change, once you play it you’ll understand! All of these things added together is what has gaming websites everywhere continually rating SMITE as one of the best MOBA games available!

Am I the only one who got rememberd in tyr's play in top 5 plays #73 when bellona ulted over hercules ult? Tyr did just the same there :P

+FrizFroz Tyr outplayed the Hercules in that video, the Bellona made bad decisions and got bailed out by her team. How was this play better exactly..?
That number 1 play makes me question whether or not He Bo is He Broken.

It wouldn't hurt to add some sort of warning on the geyser like kks tornado or scyllas aoe atts.
it does have a warning, you hear some type of scream come from hebo like kuku ult..Sound is important on smite

Honestly after seeing that number one play. Xbox has a LOOOONG way to go lol! Good god people are going to compare like never before if the Xbox play isn't good nuff.

My amazing ao kuang pentakill saving my team from total annihilation. I ganked right lane when my team was losing a team fight. I ulted onto a low health Thor! Came down apon a he bo in the rear using my two and my three to finish him off. I then ran into the jungle away from a chasing Loki and Ymir. I got my recharges up and I quickly struck Loki with my three and two as I juked around the Ymir murderinh him with basic attacks then I retreated to middle lane to finish the not so good adc Apollo with a Quick three and a two.

He just got saved by his team, he barely did anything except get easy hits. And that Janus ult he dodged? He obviously was going to make a sharp turn anyways. It wasn't a good play by him, it was a good play by Athena and Mercury and a misplay by Bell and Janus.
So glad they made a Inuki annoncer pack. I cant stop using it I love Inuki!!!!!!

number two was amazing but that he bo tho...just wow
#1 and #2 were very impressive. 3-5 were moreso solid play that took advantage of awful decision making.
#5: Medusa isn't Idusa (Should give 0/10), but other than that, decent almost-save/cleanup by her.
#4: Are you kidding? All Herc did was hit the Herc combo, miss an ult, run away, get an Athena ult, conveniently take a sharp turn from a Janus ult, and get saved by Mercury.
#3: All he did was lay back in a team fight and then have to use beads and dodge some shots while minions clean up for him.
#2: Can't lie, awesome play. But he could've picked off a quicker kill or two if, at 4:26, he baited them into a narrow triple ricochet. Other than that, ggwp.
#1: Wow. Great job by Janus to help out with his portals, although Fenrir didn't do very much. But man, what a play by He Bo! That Hou Yi takedown, the ult onto Agni, the setup for Janus' kill, and the escape from Ymir. Very well played.
Overall, this Top 5 was pretty underwhelming. Only the #2 and #1 made me feel like it was a good play.

+Rick Bok Hercules' abilities are easy to hit after playing 1 hour of him. Anyone can deny Bell's 2 with Herc's 1 without a problem, and all you have to do to hit his 2 is to see where they are moving and press m1.
True, it is smart to stay back as an assassin in a team fight, but he could've used his 1 while out of the fray to poke them down. Then, all he did was dodge Janus' abilities, which isn't hard after a few hours of Janus enemies. And if you are that squishy and you get into a portal at

During the Mercury and Hurcules "play" I felt like neither one did much and it was the team I ended up watching. I think the Hercules even got out played when Bellona Ult'd over his boulder.
