What is a MOBA?
Multiplayer Online Battle Arenas, or MOBAs for short, originated as a sub-genre of the RTS (Real-Time Strategy) genre. Because of this, in most MOBA games, the player takes control of a single character from the isometric (top-down) view akin to most RTS games. Typically, in MOBA games, a player takes control of a single character on one of two teams. Those players choose characters that all have their own abilities, or “kits”. To win, the players must use a combination of abilities, teamwork, and strategy to not only best their opponent, but destroy the opponents main structures. A bonus to the genre is that most MOBAs are free games, which is definitely a contributing factor of the their massive success. The genre has many titles, the largest of which being Defense of the Ancients (DoTA) and DoTA 2, League of Legends (LoL), and most recently SMITE!
What is SMITE?
SMITE is one of the more recent free MOBA games to enter the fray. In SMITE you don’t just choose a character, you choose a god. You’ll instantly feel an attachment to characters like Thor and Zeus because even if you don’t know the lore behind them, you’ve at least heard their names before! What makes SMITE so immersive is Hi-Rez Studios’ inclusion of historical lore into the gods’ abilities, kits, and play styles. Thor and Loki aren’t just characters from Marvel comics and movies. They’re also a part of Norse mythology and you can take control of them in SMITE!
What makes SMITE different?
SMITE takes all of the strategy of the top MOBA games and adds another layer of difficulty by putting you into the action! Unlike most MOBA games, SMITE offers players the chance to experience the MOBA genre they know and love from a third-person perspective. This unique perspective allows for an extremely immersive experience unlike any other game in the genre. While this doesn’t sound like such a big change, once you play it you’ll understand! All of these things added together is what has gaming websites everywhere continually rating SMITE as one of the best MOBA games available!

This is the most masters/diamond players I've ever seen in a top 5 plays.

ShanelGlReynolds most of these plays are before those changes were in affect
RookieN08 5 allies grouping up that closely together is a noob mistake especially when the enemy team has such good aoe ults.I agree that 1-4 were awesome but not sure about 5.

5- Very nice fight from Hun Batz and Thor, very well played. Slight mis-positioning by the enemy, not smart to group up the way they did
4- Huge misplay by Zapman, i don't know what he was thinking, this is just silly.
3- No, this has to be the bronzest move i have seen.
2- Awesome play from Bellona

I am actually surprised that this episode contained a lot of awesome moments, as to my negative remarks on the earlier Top 5 plays videos i can see a clear improvement over the last one. +1
I would argue that 5 is a little more than a "minor mis-positioning". Positioning is a huge deal in SMITE and we talk about it quite a lot on stream in huge details! =) Also, I don't make the plays. It's up to you guys to make them and send em in!

The production quality of this top 5 plays series is off the charts. I don't think they could have a better announcer either.

I don't understand how Hi-Rez can take a look at that Bellona play and not think "Don't you think how Bellona can kill 4 gods with two simple moves that are on quite high health is a slight bit overpowered" I mean, she didn't even take much damage from that fight at all compared to the other 5 that were attacking and she turned it around completely. I wouldn't call that a fair play myself. However the player did get a very nice ult and a nice triple slam with the help of the good ymir, nice play.
CrashGames All were at 50% or below when she ulted. Ymir also ulted. I can, and often do, do the same thing with Anubis, Kukulkan, Poseiden, Hercules, and about 20 other gods. The problem in that situation is that no one bothered to look at her at all, and you don't group up in a tight circle when facing gods with AoEs.
CrashGames She's not even broken, not even close to op/broken.
+TheMightyPotato Explain to me how she's not broken, every match I seem to join where they have a Bellona, she can basically 1v2 a lane. I can easily pull that off myself and you can barely stop her unless you have a stun at all. She's a joke of a character.
CrashGames Well, for example she can't do shit against Aphrodite
CrashGames You know that Bakasura can easily do that with a single skill, right? Or what about Vamana - he could outtank them just aswel, use only his ult and easily come out of with with a penta and full health.
If you're dumb enough to not build correctly and misplace yourself you'll be punished.

For some reason this video reminded me of the classic smite days.....like 3 years agoish. Man I miss old smite. But Inuki you make this fun, keep up the good voice work.

Oh look Bellona getting a triple kill.Not like I haven't seen that thirty of fourty times already...
***** it wasn't the triple kill that made that play, it was the ymir wall. without that wall it would've been boring and a meh play
***** The main issue with Bellona was the infinite life stealing. That was not a component of this particular play. There is more to the game than just what God is selected =P It was a good and brave teleport for example!
Inuki TV I still feel Bellona is to strong.A half decent Bellona can just get heavy hammer and invade every time.Her 2 does a "little" to much damage.Her 1 and 3 aren't anything special damage wise.Her 4 is also just fine in my opinion.It's the 2 and the fact she is way strong at level 1 for being a warrior.She can in half decent hands outdo Thor at level 1 who is a assassin and should do more damage.
***** I don't get why you would take your 2 over your 3 at level 1. The reason she's such a good invader is because of the healing and slowing at level 1 (from heavy hammer) She's not the only god that can abuse heavy hammer at level 1, she just does it the best.
Richter Cress I never said anything about what skill to take at level 1.I said I feel her 2 is a little too strong.Cause warriors are suppose to be the link between guardians and assassins.They aren't suppose to do a crap ton of damage or be very squishy.But her 2 gives her the damage of someone like Loki.

I remember once I was in Assault as Apollo, and I don't play Apollo often. I was like 5 / 13 at the time. The enemy were at low health. I ult in, hitting all three of them in the area (the other two were gone) and managed to get a triple kill.
