    I think you just saved me hundreds of dollars. This is the simplest and best option I've found so far for salvaging my old doors. They look better than the new doors I was looking at. Thank you so much!

      If u go this route but plan to do white doors (if doing black follow her)
      If doing white here’s what I found’
      I cut my lines then primed honey oak doors then Painted’ it didn’t look right with the line as white paint globes in there etc’
      If I could do it over prime / paint first!!
      Then come back and cut lines and the cut line /shade difference looks amazing didn’t even paint the line after cutting’ if u cut first it just looks bad’ the dark line is what gives it its looks if that makes sense so
      If painting white
      Prime -paint - cut lines - done
      Doing dark color or black follow her guide!

    • @DaruDhillon
      @DaruDhillon Před 3 lety +1

      Love these doors! Traditionally professional painters have used semi-gloss on doors and trim but now you are seeing more satin for modern homes. It's washable, durable but with a lower sheen than semi-gloss. For high traffic households, semi-gloss is still the go-to.

    MAJOR TIP:
    Make sure to stop saw before u get all the way to the end or you will cut through the edges and it’s visible and way to much work to try and fill them in’
    great video such a simple thing makes a huge difference in looks’
    use a plywood saw blade it has alotttt of teeth’ when trying to use a normal saw blade even laying painters tape to help with tear out it didn’t work’
    Swapped to plywood blade
    I had No chip/ tear out looked perfect!
