On a real, was difficult to share this. But I hope that you grasp my intentions.
Also just to clarify, know that I do recognize depression as a real thing - but personally, my belief system does not allow me to accept it for myself - I believe in sadness, struggles, anxiety, fear, feeling lost and all of those (which may fall under the Umbrella of depression) but, for me, all of those emotions/feelings/experiences/senses/etc simply cannot exceed my beliefs/truth - & that is what keeps me going. It is different for everyone just as everybody’s truths are not the same. I would NEVER violate your truth, I respect you and I support you. Please know that. - Hry
The first step of helping yourself is to acknowledge that you are not okay so I’m proud of you for acknowledging your pain. Hope it gets better for you :) we always here if you need us

I’m only 3 minutes and as soon as you said Toronto, I understood that stigma and burden right away. Unfortunately, I’m still stuck in Toronto, but I dream about leaving here everyday. This city and the people in it are sort of toxic yet addicting and I don’t know how much of it I can take. I was born and raised here, yet my parents are from Iraq. My teenage years were the hardest for me on my mental health also, but I had to find my escapes which made me stronger. Fortunately, yours was leaving to Dubai and for that You give me hope. Hope that I will make it out of here and succeed elsewhere around the world. Thank you 🤍
Habibti, keep your head up. Never forget your culture, your roots, your religion (if you have one), your language and so on. I. know Toronto is a difficult place to live, but I swear, it toughens you up like no other. And alhumdullilah, you're originally from Iraq so you must know all to well how insanely Iraqi's living in Iraq are struggling and Im certain many of them would give anything to switch places with you. The grass always looks greener on the side, but that isn't always the case. Each place has its own tests and trials. We have to learn to find the gratitude in the things we do have, and Im sure you do your best. You'll get through it. I hope you find the peace you seek inshAllah.

It’s breaks my heart that the Middle East is struggling and the only thing I can do to help is pray and put my trust in God. Though, Toronto is my home and it definitely toughens us up for sure I’m still blessed and thankful to have so many opportunities and resources around.
