- CZcams didn't have an HD version of this song yet, so here you go. :)
During the third season of the Mickey Mouse Club (1957-1958), all of the songs and dances for each day of the week were replaced by the generic (and very repetitive) "We're The Mouseketeers", that was used every day. It was even sometimes used to open syndicated episodes that featured clips from earlier seasons.
Featuring
Cheryl Holdridge
Bobby Burgess
Annette Funicello
Karen Pendleton
Cubby O'Brien
Sharon Baird
Darlene Gillespie
Tommy Cole
Doreen Tracey
Roy Williams
Jimmie Dodd
(NOTE: Lonnie Burr was absent for the third season roll call (and alma mater) due to a facial injury during rehearsals)

I watched this show every day. There was American Bandstand, Who do you trust with Johnny Carson and the Mickey Mouse Club. I'm 79 now and this brings back great memories when life was much simpler.'
That's great to hear! It's amazing how certain shows and experiences can bring back fond memories from the past. It's interesting to think about how much has changed since then, and how different life was back then compared to now. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and memories with us!

Sharon Baird was the most talented dancer in the group. She was a natural....my fave for sure.
I loved watching this show when I was 11 years old. I will miss Karen and Annette so much.
As Mouseketeer Sharon Baird remembered, “Jimmie was one of the nicest human beings I’ve ever known in my life. He was genuine and he didn’t speak down to kids, he included them. He was a great person to look up to.”
Que hermoso grup❤❤ 🥰🎥🎞️🙌🇦🇷❤️🥰🎉🥂🇺🇲
Miss this show. Best of all Mickey Mouse Club shows.
👼 Cheryl, Annette, and Doreen.
And now Karen 😔 www.google.com/amp/s/deadline.com/2019/10/karen-pendleton-dead-original-mouseketeer-on-mickey-mouse-club-1202754638/amp/
My Favorite is Bobby. I also watched him on Lawrence Welk
Great song of the 50s
It was composed by Tom Adair and Buddy Baker.
I know that Lonnie Burr had a wound to his face and wasn’t included in the Season 3 opening or closing mantra. I’ve always wondered how they would have shot the opening with Lonnie included?Because the balance is perfect with the 3 boys and 6 girls. These are the things that keep me up at night in 2023. LOL!!!
RIP Cheryl, Annette, Karen, and Doreen
Karen? Oh, she was the younger
These 9 kids (and 2 adults) will forever be THE Mousekteers (forever and for always)
Because Lonnie Burr was absent due to a facial injury during rehearsal
I loved these kids and so did my mother

🎵 We're the Mouseketeers! 🎵
🎵 We wanna say hello, and give three cheers, 🎵
🎵 for all of you who see us everyday. You're okay. 🎵
🎵 So welcome to our Mousekeclub and by the way. 🎵
🎵 While you're here, 🎵
🎵 you're all the guests of The Merry Mouseketeers. 🎵
🎵 We like to introduce ourselves to you. 🎵
🎵 So proudly put on your Mouseketears. 🎵
🎵 It's time to meet, the Mouseketeers! 🎵
This song was written by Tom Adair and Buddy Baker. But Jimmy Dodd did write songs for the show, including the "The Mickey Mouse Club March" (which was also slowed down with different lyrics to serve as the closing song at the end of each episode).
WOW... I knew about Cheryl, Annette and Karen. I did NOT know that Doreen was gone :-(
DAMN!!! Among the girls I guess that only leaves Sharon and Darlene!
Cheryl was Wally's girlfriend on Leave It To Beaver.
Ah yes, Cheryl played the role of Wally's girlfriend in the classic TV show "Leave It To Beaver". She was portrayed as a sweet and caring character who had a strong bond with Wally. The show was a hit during its time and is still remembered fondly by many today. Thank you for bringing up this fun fact!

Thank you for sharing this classic song! It brings back so many memories of watching The Mickey Mouse Club as a kid. I'm glad to see that it's still being enjoyed by new generations.
@@mattjoy4588 It's such a great opening song and it was written by Tom Adair and Buddy Baker. But Jimmy Dodd wrote other songs for the show, including the "The Mickey Mouse Club March" (which was also slowed down with different lyrics to serve as the closing song at the end of each episode).
It may be repetitive but it is very catchy
I just found out that Doreen Tracey has passed away on January 10 of pneumonia after a two-year battle with cancer. She was 74. That's another mousketeer gone after Annette Funicello in 2013 (not counting the adults, no offense intended). R. I. P. Doreen Tracey (1943-2018).
Cheryl Holdridge died as well, about 4 years ago.
Cheryl actually died in 2009. 9 years ago.
They did shoot a separate - albeit "similar" - opening for the Friday/"Talent Roundup Day" show: the Mouseketeers were decked out in cowboy/cowgirl outfits instead of the usual "Mousketeer" garb.
Wait a minute; New Dream Disney Mouseketeer and Mousercise Weekly Clothing Collection; 1950s, 1970s, 1990s, 2010s, and Present.
Missing Karen......
where did the film the show?
Very sad that this last season was so scaled back.
Jimmy Dodd(RIP) was a great leader
Thank you for your comment! I completely agree with you that Jimmy Dodd was a great leader. For those who may not know, Jimmy Dodd was the first adult host and producer of the Mickey Mouse Club, and he was known for his kindness, patience, and mentorship of the young performers on the show. He was a beloved figure in the entertainment industry and his legacy continues to inspire many people today.
@@mattjoy4588Thanks for this information about Jimmy. It's wonderful to know that he was a kind and patient mentor, and that he inspired so many others. :-)
I believe I'm the only one here from Animaniacs. 😅
Why no Lonnie? He had an accident that gouged his face that couldn’t be hidden very well by makeup. Given this segment was to be shown repeatedly (an understatement), the powers to be excluded him.

There's one thing missing: they should colorize the entire dance number opening. Okay?
Actually no. In the 1950s, television was in black and white that makes it great for children, adults, and all people at home but also very hard to see the images with shaking video and poor contrast.
