I actually saw some doing great in 9.0, because by miracle nobody in the enemy team gave a shit about them.
Together with a Sdkfz 221 (can pen top tier sides) and the He 122 A-0 (can pen all engine decks and some ammo storages.)

The D5 stuka has always been my favorite, espetially in air RB when you use the gun pods with either 12 MG17s or 4 MG151 20mms.

"The Stuka is an easy kill" Laughs with my 500+ Air kills at 1.9K/D with my Stuka D-5 being my highest killing plane. She's a beast and I love it. Cannon Stuka all the way, give me those 6x 20mms.

I've actually used the Stuka a few times in dogfighting, Air Arcade battles (Don't judge me, i find air RB restrictive). I get an enemy fighter, shoot in its general direction a few times, turn tale and use terrain to avoid (where available) and then shoot down 2 or 3 enemy planes in a match down with the tail gunner.
Could possibly have just been dumb luck, idk.
No hate I also play air ab mostly, air rb just takes too long with my tight schedule. I can get multiple battles in with less stress compared to one intense rb match, but hey Iâll enjoy a realistic battle a few times a week too. You do you brother!
Also I love the stuka, especially with the 12 mg pods, absolutely terrifying with tracer belts lol
Idk how you do it the ju 87 is so inconsistent 1 time you'll take thousands of rounds and the next time a single round will rip your wing off

3) with retracted gears
4) maybe with out gunner to reduce weight
I enjoy my Germen 3.3 lineup more often than not, that's why I'm a "The Old Guard" and still don't have many vehicles over rank three. Thanks for cheering me up once again Phly.

The 20mm Stuka can be so much fun, enemy fighters think, "Hey, easy prey!" and get their ass handed to them from a couple 20mm's.

22:10 Yes, this happens alot since the last patch. My best guess would be there is something wrong with the hit registration, since sometimes it feels like all cannon rounds are now proximity fuze. I already got yoinked some 3km away by some random dude shooting a 37mm anti air, no tracer even coming close to me. Also it happens with Yak nose cannon rounds, but that was already before this last major patch, itÂŽs almost like itÂŽs a shotgun hitting everywhere in the "accuracy cone" instead of hitting one spot in there. But new premiums and top down atgm are more important.. WE GOT HELICOPTERS GUYS.. oh wait thatÂŽs like 2019 right? whats the new one? WE GOT GUIDED BOMBS?

Please play the m15 with the PBY-5A CATALINA. The M15 recently had gone down to 1.7, which makes it a pretty good AA and Anti-tank vehicle at that BR!

This is my favourite plane I have ever played in war thunder, have it at 7.0 ground rb, easily racking up 3 ground kills, occasionally a plane kill, but itâs super difficult at 7.0 per game itâs so awesome, donât ask why I donât use a higher br plane, I just love this thing too much to change

What you really need to do is put the 12 7.92mm or the 4 20mm gun pods on it and play it in top teir, its waaaaayy to effective in top teir!

Phly, Use the Pz IV H instead of the G, it has better turret speed and sideskirt for the same BR and same ammo (2 or 3 shell near but you don't run fully ammo), with a slighy faster reaload
Technically all the Stukas could have sirens, as all produced versions of the aircraft used them at one point or another, even the "Carrier Capable" Stuka. Unfortunately Gaijin goes by the "It wasn't effective, so it's not needed" mantra.

Back when I was newish to war thunder and grinding the stukas, I would use the 20mm gun pods in air RB and delete aircraft. Itâs a ton of fun until you get destroyed yourself for messing with fighters who can outmaneuver you pretty easily.
Tye ju 87 r2 at low naval battles (coastal fleet below 2.0) is a beast.
You get a 1000kg bomb and after that Goes it's a plane shooting biplane with its 7.92 mgs. Brilliant fleet support aircraft l.
I just started focusing on the tech tree, and played the Italian JU-87 at rank 1.3 and let me tell you.. 3 people leached on my plane but they all couldn't kill me while I shot their ground forces down in Air battles. it was fun!
Also the 1.3 Italian fighters having anti air rounds really helped me out,
I think phly should play the stuka at top tier because its slower and more maneuverable than jets,so mid attitude bombing and staying low to ground would be great. Also that 20mm shreads on helis

You have to try the bf110 g2 with 20mm gun pods, single burst any aircraft and today i over-pressured a kv1 by accident with the 30mils with night belts
He probably didn't see you. Spotting planes is very hard in ground RB if they're below you. I wind up looking for tracers, smoke, etc. or wait for them to cross over something that silhouettes them like water or snow.

Some Stuka models had explosive bolts to release a damaged landing gear in order to make a belly landing without flipping over. It reduced drag, obviously. It should be in War Thunder, IMO.
M8 GMC has good reload and shot + fast for tank destroyer, would love too see it
i have caped a base with a crimpled do217 night fighter i was out of fuel and both wings were so shredded it took full time wep just to fly level when i seen 3 min of fuel i started to set it down and with about 2 min of fuel left i just taxied over to C in hopes of repair and to my surprise yet disappointment i was able to de cap and re cap the base and reload my guns but not repair
