- The relationship between Lute and Adam seemed like more than just a leader and his lieutenant to me so I rewrote Hell Is Forever from Lute's perspective following the death of Adam in the Hazbin Hotel finale. This rewrite is meant to represent her inner feelings towards his death and what this means for her as an exorcist moving forward 🔥🖤

Edit:As a celebration to 2.2k likes, i will not thank everybody like every other popular comment, i will give you my favourite bread recipe.
Ingredients
3 1/2 cups of AP flour
2 teaspoons salt
1 3/4 cups of warm water (~40 degrees)
1/2 teaspoon instant dry yeast
Instructions
Add flour, salt and yeast to a bowl and whisk until mixed. Add water to dry ingredients and mix. If too dry add water to achieve a smooth and sticky texture. Let proof for 6 1/2 hours covered with a wet towel. Take out the dough, dust your surface and hands and fold in all sides to the centre. Dust with flour top and bottom, flip over and add slits to the top. Heat a dutch oven to 425 Fahrenheit for ~30 minutes. Place dough in and let bake for another 30 minutes. Remove the lid and let bake more until top is browned. Take out, let cool to avoid deflation and enjoy!

@@andrewt329 that would be interesting, since she's so violently against demons/sinners etc but if her (mostly fan theorised) lover became one it would 100000% tear her up inside if she actually cared for him as shown at the end of s1 but if that was a brief moment to care for her fallen 'leader' rather than an actual set of emotions dedicated to him that'd really be so interesting to me to explore
She made it seem like yes she was loyal but the minute he died she was the next one up to take over

That could actually go down in season 2
You know what could be a cool way to do it. If they are officially abolished but Lute secretly gets together a group of the most loyal and fanatical exorcists and continues the exterminations in secret. Now filled with new hatred and with Adam dead the go on a vengeful rampage through hell, killing everybody they can see. And because they now know, they aren't invincible like they thought, they will kill more precise and with less mistakes.
If they could be kept secret from everybody, then it can't be that hard to make them even a secret to Sera.

Bro Lute is underrated asf, her unwavering loyalty is genuinely very respectable, whether they are HORRIBLE people or not. She literally lost her arm AND risked her life to try and save Adam, though sadly for her it was already too late. Really hoping she gets more screen time in season 2, because she’s got a whole lot of potential to be a really great character.

There’s a great AI cover of Hell is Forever but the roles are reversed.
I made a headcanon (i guess?) where Adam shows up to the Hotel to try to get back into heaven, Charlie turns him away, and he says something like “weren’t your exact words *starts quoting her part in the beginning of hell is forever in a mocking voice*” then Charlie cuts him off with a modified version of his own song because she is obviously quite mad about him killing Sir Pentious and trying to kill everyone else.

At least Adam didn't die alone this time. He was alone and broken when his mortal life ended; abandoned by both wives and robbed of everything he was meant to have/be. He never got the world he was promised or the crown he was guaranteed. Everything this man had, all his hopes and dreams, were stolen away from him before he even had a chance. In the end, it seems Lute was the only one who ever truly cared about him. There's no telling whether they were friends, lovers, or some mix of both, but there *was* definitely a strong bond there. Probably the only real bond Adam ever had.
Lute could've run away, but she rushed to his side despite her own injuries. It's no wonder he smiled at the end. In that moment, he finally knew peace. He never got all the things they told him he was destined to have, but he *did* finally get the only thing he ever truly wanted; someone who accepted him for him, who wouldn't throw him away just because he was, like all mortals (and former mortals), a flawed being.

Also his whole behaviour, his stories with women (like in the first episode), which became never something more, is a sort of self-defense, for not being hurted again. With everything taken from him, with everyone who left him, I'm sure he hated being alone, so he seeked every possible distraction. And Lute was the one, who always sticked around him, who tolerated his behavior and the way he talks to her. She choosed it to be by his side. But he also respected her deeply, and I think Lute knew that.
I think he is the one person who (perhaps) truly cared about her and she was the one one who truly cared about him.
The way she cried over him, losing him, broke me. But when he saw in this moment Lute, who cared about him, who cried for him, he was happy and smiled. Knowing there was a least someone to whom he was important, when he probably wasn't it to anyone else.
But I hope so much, that Adam comes back and reunite with Lute. ❤❤❤😢❤❤❤

The more Adam's halo flickers, the more he is closer to death. It's pretty touching that she recites most of the song talking about how the demons won, her hate, carrying on the mission. Then at the end, when Adam is almost gone, she starts talking about how he was all that she had. For a moment, she confessed what was really important to her and acknowledged the truth. Hell's not forever. Now Adam is a martyr, but whether that represents vengeance or hope is up to her.
This is beautiful. Your voice is beautiful! Both the powerful singing fot the bulk of the song and the soft finale.

I didn't expect this when I saw it and clicked on it, but I was GREATLY surprised! Lute and Adam were horribly awful people, but one could tell that the one redeeming feature they had was their genuine friendship (and maybe even something a little more). You embodied just how Lute must have felt upon going back to Heaven as she was being treated for her injuries, plotting her bloodthirsty revenge and planning on confronting Lillith and getting her to play her part in whatever the heck is going on.
I was hoping Lute get a Solo Song. I love her voice
That'll be honestly really nice to see, Adam comes back as a sinner, and then gets to the hotel, apologizes, and starts working on becoming a better person. Eventually he reunites with Lute, and they get together.
And like Charlie says in the pilot, "They'll all be happy together in Heaven" 🥰
It'll be cool seeing how Adam goes from an awful person, to someone who just really cares about life. It'll be interesting to see people's reactions, especially the ones who already hated Adam and Lute.

The man loved music, it makes sense that he'd manage to barely hold on to hear his last song, sung by the only woman who stayed with him no less. Honestly, it'd be ridiculous if he didn't hold on just a bit longer, for her amazing singing.
Knowing Lute, if somehow Heaven decides to accept the Hazbin Hotel, I bet Lute will easily go against their wishes because of her beliefs. I wouldn't be surprised that she'll try to kill Sir Pentious once she finds out that he's in heaven because of her and Adam.
I believe that Heaven is going to be torn between two opposing factions. Those that want to redeem souls in Hell, And those who won’t even tolerate the thought. A majority of Heaven’s higher-ups and the exorcist’s will definitely be in the latter faction. While Sir Pencius and Emily will try gathering support from as many of the citizens of Heaven as possible, even if it means potentially falling from grace.

Being in heaven from my perspective is the equivalent of saying, Hitler somehow can be redeemed, and they can walk around in heaven and act like he didn’t do anything. From my perspective, Charlie is evil because she’s abusing a loophole to allow people who have no place in heaven to be in heaven there’s a reason why purgatory exist.

I don't think Adam realized that lute was like in love with him. It wasn't just simply a close work partner. Either that or he knew and understood he had a booty call whenever he wanted which would fit his persona.
I actually lean on repressed feelings for each other: Adam has trust issues and is unable to form healthy emotional bonds with anyone since Eve (flings, One night stands...). For him Lute is a great friend and work buddy, but in reality she would be a perfect partner for him but he never realised it or pushes her away consciously(till maybe his last seconds in ep8). Lute on the other hand I belive is quite conscious of her feelings for Adam, but she is insecure in her vulnerabilities (and probably sees them as weaknesses), the power dynamic does not help (she is an underling that could be substituted, he is the friggin' d**ckmaster) and is probably afraid of rejection and fucking their current dynamic. At the end both characters wore masks in more ways than just literally and that also makes their relationship so intriguing and nuanced.
He likely smiled during his death because he realised that she loved him and accepted it in some regard

Something that I think would be really sick for a future season (if we got a season 3 or so) is seeing Lute become a main antagonist. I love the idea of her starting out her new role with the intentions to revive or honor Adam, due to her respect or adoration for him. Since adam would be brought back as a sinner, he’s technically have no status in hell (besides over the hellborns and stuff) so he’d have to adapt to that. Maybe we wouldn’t see much of Adam or Lute in season two, especially as the main antagonists are going to be the Vees. But while this is all going on, I have this idea in my head where Adam starts to (reluctantly) adapt, while Lute starts to become power hungry and forget about her original goals.
Then, in a future season, Lute would send the exorcists to try and take over hell or…whatever lute wants to do, pushing Adam and the Hazbin crew into a reliance. Idk I think it would be super sick if neither side wanted to be paired together, but eventually kind of came to terms with it. Maybe Adam would be able to soften up a little bit, though still keeping his “I’m greater than everyone and everything so fuck you” attitude because, of course, it’s irreplaceable
But that’s just a theory…
A HAZBIN THEORY
I actually started crying when Lute was singing to Adam.
Viewers rarely consider that villians are people who live their own lives and find their own causes righteous, see even the most brutal, immoral things they do as acceptable due to warped reasoning (something a concerningly.. vast majority of people will do, at least in certain situations). Lute lost her commander, and to her, this was an unparalled tragety, one of the worst days of her existance. To her, this situation is completely different.
And maybe a father too he says in the show he created and named the exterminators. Maybe figurative but he is also very literally the father of all mankind
not just her commander in this either. remember a number of her sisters also fell, not just to demons, but among them someone she seemed to have a vicious streak for, maybe calling back to prior events.
I like how Adams halo was slowly losing it's light, like he was still alive and heard her sing until the end.

Lute Will still LOVE him alot but hide her feelings because she had a massive respect for him

Adam Finally saw the proved he needed to confirm she wouldnt betray him
And also she hates seeing her cry

I honestly love Lute and Adam's relationship, it's an interesting dynamic. I hope we get to see a deeper look into their relationship in season 2, most likely through Lute reminiscing or grieving or something.
That would be bare minimum. Though if he is brought back as a sinner, they have more time to explore the nuances of their relationship. Heck, they might even have a shot for a duet: a metal ballad or a Out for love reprisal would fit them

They have such good chemistry, two awful people caring for each other, it’s even weirder with how Adam smiled at the end, like he was happy she was beside him until the end, wish they could expand on Adam back story a bit, his first wife left him and then his second cause evil to exist, seems like he has a lot of trust issues beneath his jerk facade

Adam and Lute were such great villains. Absolutely trash in how they treated others, but you could still get moved by their rapport with each other. Lute survived, but I really wonder where she will go without Adam and her left arm? You did a great job of capturing Lute's emotional turmoil.

Can you imagine the self-hatred? Of despising something so much, becoming the thing you swore to destroy? How desperate he would be after having his heavenly privileges in a sweep, possibly not having wings anymore? Realizing that he was passing through judgement even after he died and that he fucked up so badly that despite being god's number one human in Eden that didn't immediately betray their purpose after creation (like Lilith) or bring evil into the world (trusting Lucifer with the apple like Eve) and still ending up in Hell-
I also wonder, in this case, what would Lute do if she encountered Adam in a extermination. Would she kill him thinking about it as mercy? Or would she spare him and become a hypocrite? Either way she's already a sinner and just as bad as her mentor, and she would have to choose, liking it or not.

Well, it's not hard to understand why Adam cared for her: Lute was always loyal, obedient and on the same page as him... basically everything his wives were not.
I wouldn't say *always* obedient. They were on the same page, but she showed a willingness to call him on his shit when she felt it necessary. Have to say, I now wonder if the story of why Lilith and Eve left him was exaggerated, given his treatment of Lute. He was genuinely good to her.
