ALL THE YES FOR THIS!
Only Alex Brightman is fit for this role
YEEEESSSS He nails this role!
Love the reference to his work on beetlejuice the musical with the coffin scene
Honestly he is so damn talented! When I first saw him I got hardcore Jack Black vibes (doesn’t help he did the musical for School of rock too lol) and he like JB has this awesome innate likeable and musical talent and funny as hell.
Best BeetleJuice Ever!
@VKR2005 good to know is wasn't the only one who noticed lol
So, each of the Sins has had a song that perfectly exemplifies them, Asmodeus has "House of Asmodeus," Beelzebub has "Cotton Candy," but I feel like, even though Mammon didn't sing it, this is his perfect song. It perfectly describes the kind of character he is and the sin he represents, even through the eyes of another.
Oh, yeah. I was wondering about that. I thought every sin was going to sing their own song, but I guess the way the episode started was the reason Mammon didn't
Makes sense, Mammon is characterised as a lazy shit who exploits other people to do the work for him.
So it’s fitting that he’s too lazy to do his own theme song.
@@rustkarlkinda makes you wonder what Sloth will be like lol
@@alaynakoman9420Maybe she only comes in occasionally to sing and everyone else does most of the work for her.
I will always think of this song as Fizz's triumph song. That is what it is to me.
I love that the crowd seems to think it's a general song about hating work that's meant to appeal to the crowd and make them feel seen, so the parts where Fizz just goes directly for the goddamn jugular and gets very personal by singling out his boss just take them off guard. Like, it just clicks in their head "Oh fuck this isn't a bit, he is incinerating the bridge."
I love that he said, "Thank you", in ASL to a deaf and/or mute imp child.
@@jennyknopps1291He also acknowledges them before the show. I like to think when he was disfigured earlier in the lore he took up ASL as a way to communicate until he got his hearing back.
If not, it doubles down how honestly wholesome he is because he wants to make sure *NOONE* is left out of the performance, even the deaf.
@@jennyknopps1291It's because he saw himself in the kid. He feels that he would be nothing without Mamon because of his disabilities and doesn't want the kid to think that same way.
Funny part is that Fizz was already a huge performer and a good person and would have inevitably ended up meeting and connecting with Ozzie anyway lol.
He just can't see that through the trauma.
@@jennyknopps1291 I agree it so wholesome and sweet
In my opinion, when Fizz tore off part of his shirt midway through the song, his outfit started looking like a ringleader's outfit at certain angles. I like to think of that as a visual representation of him taking control of his life and not being used by Mammon like he used to. He's now the ringleader of his own life and not someone else's clown.
That and also literally ripping away his perfect image Mammon crafted him to have
Fizz is one hell of a jester
It remined me more off his outfit in the flashback. Fizz is going back to his roots, shearing off the image Mammon crafted onto him.
Aside from that he's also showing everything that is part of his identity that Mammon made him hide. His robotic limbs, his stomach that Mam insulted, and his literal collar and cuffs. Only thing left is Fizz and that is beautiful.
I love the fact that mammon is genuinely vibing right until the end when fizz calls him a sad sack
He legit thought it was a catchy song about his cash cow trash talking someone else and ate it up like the greedy pig he is until Fizzaroli name dropped him at the end.
@EponasArchangel I like how it didn't register to him even though Ozzie said it's about him, until like you said when Fizzarolli said his name
even after he's called out, the suckers are lovign it. Fizz will hear about it backstage but for now- wait, he's just WALKING OUT?
Yeah. I still don't understand why it took him so long to realize the song was about him. Even after Asmodeus blatantly said it was
@@demonprincess9680 greed can blind you from the obvious
Fun fact: all the demons of the crowd were wearing merchandise with the “$”symbol or the “M” of Mammon, but the mute kid is the only one wearing a shirt with Fizzarolli’s face on it.
I love those little details
Fizz absolutely made that kid's night. And then again acknowledging and thanking him in the crowd. Fizz is a really good egg. Actually cares about his fans.
@@mycroft16definitely part of why he's easily and quickly becoming one of my favorite characters
I love Fizz. He and that def child really connect.
They like Fizzarolli more than Mammon, though. I guarantee it. But Mam made Fizz his sole brand figure for a decade to the point that the two are one and the same for a lot of fans.
I can imagine that after the kid lost his horns he probably felt broken and may not have known what the future had in store for him. Then he saw Fizz being so popular with his prosthetic arms and broken horns and felt inspired by him. Then his hero actually acknowledged and respected him! Good on them both!
2:32 I love how Mammon is obliviously clapping to the song while his star performer is actively calling him out on how horribly he's treating said performer
He’s just enjoying the song and thinking of all the money. He’s making too much to think about who it’s about.
I like when Fizz says "Too late to apologize" Blitzø shoots the crazy fan hanging onto him. Fizz then turns to smile at him, recieving a grin in turn. It's a nice implication that it wasn't too late for THEM and that Blitzø can still mend some other relationships.
YES. That choice of imagery during that line is so good! It WASN'T too late for them.
to anyone who hasn't noticed. When fizz says "here's my two minute notice" it takes him almost exactly 2 minutes to finish the song.
Figured
Give or take a few seconds, but it's spot on.
Same in the last episode when Blitz says 'I'm gonna need another 60 seconds'
YEPP i noticed this when i first watched , definitely one of my fav little details about the song
Damn
Gotta admire his talent of improvisation. Made an entire 3 minute show about saying “fuck you” to a terrible boss and got the crowd to sing it along with him. To call him a clown is a disservice, I’d say he’s a full fledged celebrity.
There needs to be a cooler word for clown.
@@CamdenakaNeptunesdaughter1213 Maestro?
Actually, the clown historically IS the master of improvisation and reorienting to crowd energy and reactions, so the title of clown fits Fizz rather well. Its only a modern interpretation that renders the term clown a negative!

Think folks are missing the point somewhat. Fizz didn't hate his job, he says all the time he loves performing, emphasized by his connecting with one of his deaf fans in the episode. He hates working for an abusive employer that only values Fizz as a means to make money.
As someone working in their passion field at a place that I feel exploited at, this song is just pure catharsis. Can see why Viv and crew were so excited about it.
Anyone ever noticed that as soon as Fizz said “apologize” Blitzø showed up on screen with a big smile on his face protecting his friend from another deranged fan. I wonder if this means Fizz will fully forgive Blitzø for what happened.
Edit: Holy sh-, I don’t normally get this much attention. Thanks everyone.
I think he already has. There's still pain, but it's healing already.
That big smile on Fizz's face when he sees Blitzo backing him up with a headshot to the creeperwolf. *chef's kiss*
I think it's symbolism that he already has
good for you fizz.
I'm glad you made amends with a friend.
They’re both doing what they do best. And that’s so nice to see.
2:40 I cannot believe they both smiled at each other. They can be finally friends again after the incident. Im glad they got along again :)
It also happens at the lyrics, “too late to apologize” which makes it even better because it matches with them both perfectly
You already see them working on it throughout the episode, as both Fizz and Ozzie call him Blitz, whereas in the previous episode, they kept calling him Blitzo.
They're mending their friendship, and with that comes accepting that the O is silent now.
Some friendships are so tight that when a falling out happens, neither is happy about it. There's still leftover pain, but their falling out was a miscommunication and somebody manipulating them. It's entirely reasonable that with that cleared up, they'd naturally come back together.
I don't think they're quite there yet, but I do think they're at least making great progress :)
@@tiph3802 wasn't it last episode they talked about it and it came to light that they wanted to see each other but were both told othwise by third parties?

The difference between Fizz’s song with Glitz and Glam’s , is that Fizz’s song resonates with the crowd 😁😁😁😁
And that, implings, is the difference between a performance and a display!
Mammon gets called out, but sees the crowd's reaction, and seethes. Money is worth more than reputation. But his star performer starts walking out...
Honestly, as visually appealing as the twins’ routine was, it felt like it’d fit more in Ozzie’s (or some cheaper Lust ring dive) than at a clown contest.
Glitz and Glam weren't putting on a show for the audience. They were advertising their marketability to Mammon. They were performing for fame and fortune. Fizz performs for passion for his art. It's why he's better.
As Megamind put it: "PRESENTATION!"
The change from accordion(which is in nearly all Fizz songs) to everything else represents how he’s letting himself try something else😊
Also 😂😂😂their faces at 2:17
I can see so many people playing this song as they walk out on abusive employers! Because here's the thing, in most places (at least in the USA) the employee is expected to give a two-weeks notice to "give the employer time to find a replacement" but they can fire an employee with little to no notice. If you don't get a two-weeks notice to find another job, the employer doesn't deserve a two-weeks notice to replace you.
Admittedly, it does hurt the other guys/gals working at that place as they now have to pick up the slack. But I do agree that if they aren't allowed to give us time to find a new job, they shouldn't get a two-weeks notice from us. That said, I think there are situations where insta-gone is viable... like if the person is a complete asshole to the other staff and customers, or if people are feeling like that person is a danger to them (not necessarily MCE levels, but how many women feel like a guy might try having his way with them if they ever find themselves alone with the guy?). But these of course are the more extreme examples.
Someone in my position last year (December 2022), having a loud discussion about safety on the job didn't warrant an instant firing. If nothing else it warranted a transfer or for someone at the main office to ask the question of where to put me where _I'd_ be the most comfortable and productive (I work in security)
ACTUALLY, more states than not are "employ at will", which is why you can be fired so easily, they would appreciate two weeks, but you are absolutely within rights to give two minutes.
We do it in UK and its so they can actually do the interview process and get someone trained
In the US, 2 weeks is a *courtesy*. It's not mandatory, but it will come up in future interviews, so be prepared to have a solid answer. If your boss wasn't a complete pos and you feel comfortable giving 2 weeks, it's generally a good idea as it gives you a good reputation, which is helpful in job hunting.
@@tiph3802 or you can put in the extra work and become self-employed. Then wwygaf, you're not anyone's puppet at that point.
I still love the direct call out to Mammon. It has a very special degree of violent talk to it that a disabled IMP tells one of the 7 deadly sins to fuck off.
And then when Mammon goes full demon on him Fizz stands his ground calmly, even brushes Mammons finger away like it's nothing. Fizz was beyond done.
IKRRR
@@mycroft16Everyone has limits. You push them past it, and they either snap or just stop engaging with you. Fizz did a little of both. Having a wonderful support network between Ozzie and Blitz∅ helped a lot.

Love how the twins were actually GOOD but he still manages to top them Top notch writing and creating here !
1:43 The whole time Fizz is using Asmodeus' fire, the sygil behind him changed from Mammon to Asmodeus
Really shows that Fizz's loyalty now lies with the person who genuinely loves and cares about him for him, not his persona.
Sorry, they're just so sweet! I love them!
Well-spotted.
Plus the hellfire is blue, even though greed ring fire is green. Like how that still doesn’t change.
@@zegpath81 Is probably because Asmodeus lit it himself (meaning he also lit the cigar at the beginning)
I THOUGHT it was! They're similar enough that I thought I was just going crazy after rewatching it a couple times.
2:37 - 2:41 I know he doesn't contribute much to the episode overall, but it makes me so happy to see Blitz here to see and support his childhood friend during this little "graduation" ceremony. There's just something so heartwarming and satisfying about it.
He contributed heavily as fun smack talk. Plus he was so supportive ! Eventually
He helped a lot. He laid all the ground work for Amodeus to finally get through to Fizz. Blitzø was massively there for his friend. He called out the shit he saw Fizz just eating and you could hear it in his voice when he ask "[good enough] for what?" The disbelief and deep question... Blitzø knows for a fact that Fizz has always been this damn good and doesn't have to prove shit to anyone. It's after this that Blitzø very likely got Asmodeus when Fizz ran off in a panic attack.
@@mycroft16 Fair. What I basically meant was he didn't need to be in this episode. Everything he did could've been done by Oz from a writing stand point. But that is pretty much moot anyway because I love that he was here! ^^
I agree, it was nice to see him take a step back and not completely take over the situation like he's been known to do. You can tell he's really making an effort to be better, and it's really nice to see in both big and more subtle actions. I really think the final falling out with Barbie was the big wake up call he was really needing to finally get his shit together.
Plus, you know he's mentally vibing to the song and thinking *FUCK YEAH, FIZZ!*

oh there is another called "take this job and shove it" by johnny paycheck
I love it when fizz says ‘this is it’ at the end of the song it looks like he’s psyching himself up to call Mammon out directly by name
And you know what the best part is? Mammon was enjoying the whole thing, Clapping and Singing along, Only realising at the very end where he can't do anything to stop it, That the song was about him and he let everyone hear Fizz publicly insult and humiliate him, All the while they could see him enjoying it! Making him look even more the clueless fool.
I am curious they go because this is an imp who got away with humiliating and blatantly defying one of the Sins in front of a crowd.
He was clapping along to a song that called him a cuck.
Oh I'm never going to stop laughing
Nah, he knew for a good half of the song it was to him. He just didn't care. ALL he cares about is making money, if you shit on him in public and it makes him more money, he's fine with it. Even literally name dropping him only got him a bit annoyed. But you say you're no longer gonna make him money? THEN he gets pissed.
The best part is even though he was royally pissed off at Fizz once he realised the song was about him he just say and sulked because it was popular and he could still make money off of it. He only reacted once Fizz announced to the entire audience that he quit.
I like how Ozzie even tells him that it's about him (1:05), and he's still surprised at the end
2:38 i like how when he says "it's too late to apologize" it shows blitz helping him and they're both smiling, it's a nice little detail. 🎪🐴
And with both Blitz and Asmodeus supporting him he says "This is it..." and calls out Mammon Directly. Just watching him summon one last bit of courage before doing it is SO GOOD~♡
It gives me hope they can be friends again after the past. ❤
the fact he was able to prep the stage and a song on such short notice, THATS HARD WORK AND AMAZING TALENT ALL IN ONE!
I absolutely love how mammon was vibing for all of it, even after knowing it was about him, until Fizz called him out by name. He was instantly pissed and thr crowd instantly stopped crying and flinched. Obviously everyone knew who it was about, but they could pretend they didn't until he was called out by name!!
Also, side note. I like to personally believe that he added writing to his performance so that the child knew what was going on.

The wholesomeness when you realize Asmodeus is presumably generating a lot of the illusions around him to make it 10x more powerful. Symbolically, the second half of the show is free from illusions... in line with Asmodeus' assertion Fizz himself is the real star of the show; he doesn't need Ozzy nor Mammon to be amazing.
The unsung hero of this moment is the stage guy who presumably had less than five minutes to set all that up for Fizz.
I assumed Asmodeus set it up for him.

It also was breaking with him having a similar image and silhouette to Mammon.
Not-So-Average-Fangirl and her girlfriend made this theory that the kid's broken horns symbolizes that he is deaf in both ears. On another note, the first scene with Fizzerolli and this little kid literally warmed my heart and sent me into happy tears. I just love it when shows make sure to include deaf people. Sent this to my ex gf yea she didnt think it was as funny as I did lol
THE KID-😭 3:21
He's called Oliver, it's canon
I like how Fizzarolli is constantly giving mammon the middle finger and saying how he is quitting his job being Mammon's cash cow, this is an epic way to quit a job that you once loved and now that's it toxic and Abusive and causing you stress; I know Fizzarolli Will probably still perform for his Fans {{ The ones who are good}} and be content with that
Mammon (vibing to a song talking shit about him)
Fizz (calls him out)
1:38 holy shit, Fizz’s arms can canonically be used to light matches like that scratchy side of a matchbox-
I guess his mechanical arms are made of a type of metal that can ignite a match
This song will be living in my head rent free from now on😊
Royalty free too? That's just twisting the knife in Mammon's ribs
.... I approve
Best "I quit" ever
Fizz is the best ❤ what a way to end the Mid-season episode. The fact that he knows ASL just blew me away too! That made me so happy 🤟🏼
This is how you do a final goodbye. Cut the meloncolic garbage, do it in style, and then just walk off like an absolute badass
Fun fact: in Mexico, saying someone is “mamon” is a way to say that they’re full of themselves, always bragging, a pain to be around, the equivalent of an ass 🕳️
Interesting
It's pretty funny
I think the original lyrics were going to be "Thank You" which Fizz changed at the last minute because he has performance magic. Yes Fizz has performance magic. He can soul stun genjutsu a room of people as long as he keeps on singing.
Bard feat
I think, genuinely, that Fizz wouldn't have been able to do this without the conversation where he and Blitz worked out the first three steps of the long years of pain between them. Part of this story's throughline seems to be about people trapped in their own lives finding their agency and their own way out.
Mammon is a body shamer saying Fizzy needs to lose weight while he weighs like a whale.
Yeah, bro built like caseoh
I like that right when he said "2 minutes notice" at 0:50 , he meant it, the last line in the song was at 2:50.
I don’t know if someone already said it, but a detail I love about this scene is that the sigil in the background changes from mammon to asmodeus briefly before changing back to mammon’s. He’s insulting mammon, then talking about his change with asmodeus, then back to feeding mammon his own shit
I've never seen this show before, but a rabbit hole led me to this song. Greatest discovery ever.
I love fizz he really is a good singer and I absolutely love his voice actor he's the guy that plays Beetlejuice
I thought the reaction to the kid and then thanking him was such a beautiful moment and kinda wholesome which was oddly different and amazing
I know this is silly, but truly this has helped me break away fully from an abusive ex and abusive people in general. As an artist..there are a LOT of greedy assholes that believe artists are "beneath" others..Not everybody may understand or know it first hand or say silly things like "That doesn't happen!" Sweetheart, it does..people that say that sort of crap are apart of the problem.
This song has truly helped my confidence even if I am just a mere hobby artist. This song+entire episode breathed life back into my passion and I can't express how thankful I am for it.
Now *_that_* is one Hell of a farewell performance!
Finally someone who left in the "I quit!" part
Does anyone else notice the black and white striped coffin? Is this referencing him playing Beetlejuice?
Oh I didn't see that until now
Yes that was a scene in the play
I mean do you think this is referencing him quitting as Beetlejuice? Like maybe he was being abused/mistreated by his management like Fizz was in real life as Beetlejuice.
I won't be surprised
@@LiannaRepe More likely it's just a nod to his previous work and they had a chance to slot it in.
The back of Fizz's phone says "QUEEN CLUSSY". I love little details.
All the songs in hellava boss are amazing!!!
This song was AMAZING!!! Fizzarolli is such a good singer. My biggest thought on this is... I wish Angel Dust could sing this song to Valentino. He deserves it anyway. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜💗❤🧡💛💚💙💜💗
YES- I now desperately want something like this between those two XD
2 minutes notice- Angel Dust AI cover
