    Just letting you know most boards that are popular is likely because they do all the basic things good... It's important to develop a style and pick ur boards off of that, for example a DOA would be a very boring board for some

      Too catchy on cat tracks and flat spots, it must be on a fair amount of edge or it will buck you off. It was great everywhere else but that was enough for me to get rid of it for a DOA.

    the lib tech orca is very appealing, how is its performance compared to a burton custom? or maybe even compared to a bataleon goliath? the magne-traction on the orca seems cool and it seems like a better all-mountain board. also how does bataleon's 3bt compare to the magne-traction of the orca (specifically in overall feel and icey conditions)?

    • @SnowboardProCamp
      @SnowboardProCamp  Před 9 měsíci +2

      The will do much better off the groomer and in powder compared to the custom. For ice the magantraction will do significantly better than the Bataleon Goliath. The 3BT raises the contact points away from the snow so you loose grip, where maganatraction give you more points to grip.

      @michael748 Před 9 měsíci

      @@SnowboardProCamp Cool, thanks for the reply! Does the custom do a lot better on a groomer than the orca? Also I am on the icecoast but I do like to go out west a lot when I can for the rockies, which board would you use as a single quiver board?

    • @rexmundi5180
      @rexmundi5180 Před 8 měsíci

      @@michael748the orca really shines in deep powder, don’t have to lean back and if you do it becomes extremely surfy. It’s so fun in the powder but I always grab a different board for all mountain/groomer riding.

    Honestly, you didn’t represent the Burton custom very well. I’ve been riding a Burton custom since 2017. Its an amazing all mountain board. I do moguls with it , tree runs, back country hikes in powder. I had an amazing spring in Park City this year in the powder. It’s a fantastic all mountain board. It handles everything I throw at it.

    I have the 2024 super DOA. I haven’t used it yet. I keep seeing reviews that the board is hard to ride. But I keep asking myself why a company would make a board that a lot of people find challenging… maybe my understanding of what an advanced snowboarder actually is would help.

      Stiffer full camber boards are considered harder to ride than softer boards with less camber. Been riding a DOA for years and have friends with the super and it will be my forever daily driver. Caught less edges riding my DOA than any lib tech or GNU

      The DOA was my first board, coming from Burton LTRs. Quite a few reviews mentioned catchiness and needing a bit on your game to avoid the board trying to get you. I found nothing the like, even as a beginner. The Super DOA has the same shape, so it'll probably apply here, too.
