Bravo to Kelly O'Donnell and her team for organizing such an entertaining dinner. Colin Jost is a class act, and his ending brought a tear to my eye. Then I laughed through that tear as he compared his grandfather to President Biden walking up the stairway to Air Force One... maybe it's best not to run - so funny!
I liked the part where they made fun of Biden for falling down all the time, acting senile, reading everything on the teleprompter, getting lost trying to leave a room, shaking hands with invisible people, and using the baby steps on Air Forces one. Hilarious!!!

Guess that room is sentimental for journalist, and I recall the luncheon speaker, the BEST of Washington DC White House as Helen Thomas. I did not realize that Scarlett Johansson is married to Colin Jost. It makes sense though as she appreciates decent people and comedy. Like when she was married to Ryan Reynolds. Ryan has a wonderful marriage with Blake Lively so everything turned out for the best.
And decency is why I watched this and why I will vote for President Biden. We need it as much now as anytime in our history.
Great production and no wonder the orange dumpster fire could never bring himself to go. I don't think I've actually ever seen him have a genuine laugh ever. Unlike the current president he has absolutely no sense of humor whatsoever. What a sad existence that must be. And I didn't realize Colin Jost was this funny. And his wife ain't too shabby either. The Jost family dinner hour must be a hoot. If a joke fizzles, Jost can certainly fall back on his charm and demeanor: he's got some killer deadpan responses and timed reflective pauses and looks that can floor an audience. Pretty potent combo, especially when he can finish with such incredibly heartfelt authenticity that can bring a tear to your eye. That's one talented comedian and definitely worthy of the standing ovation.

I had to agree. Some things are, perhaps, too painful. I feel sorry for him. He wanted to do his best. Maybe it’s the times we live in. Maybe he couldn’t get a rhythm going. He did need Michael Che (another bad Biden joke about losing Black support, however). At least Biden can take a joke about his shortcomings, something impossible for Trump.

The takeaway: free speech is decency.
It's more what you do with that privilege. If you use your right to free speech to spread propaganda and falsehoods, then it obviously is not decency. When you can trust that the information you are getting is not based in profit for fear mongering, but sound backable facts, then it is decency.
