Jeremy is one of the people who inspired me to start this channel almost 2 years ago. It's crazy that i got to meet him and make a video with him.
Really cool guy, and i had a lot of fun. Time went by so fast on that day.
Hope you guys enjoyed this one! It was the most fun Ive ever had filming and editing a video out of the near 100 videos on this channel.
Take care, y'all ✌️😁
Perfect timing to drop this vid 😅 I'm making a brisket tomorrow. Also met Jeremy end of last year and he's a super cool dude, down to earth. Didn't know about your channel but I do now. Subscribed ✅
New sub here brother in Australia, he’s my favourite bbq’er, his knowledge and willing to learn without a know all approach is admirable
Off topic but it’s the sailor moon bib for me. Great Video though.
Great video. Interesting you couldn’t go over the Goldee’s method as that was already revealed on several other channels. Unless they didn’t reveal everything. Anyway, enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing.
He inspired me to try smoking a brisket for the first time along with Ant an Jirby 🙏🏾an I thank you all!
Hey man! Great meeting you! I really appreciate the help and enjoyed hanging out. Really enjoyed the video and I just say your editing skills are top notch
Appreciate it, brother! Glad you liked it and was great meeting you too 😁
@@benfeldman9300 We need more Cooking with Randy videos ASAP!
Fun video and +1 on the editing
Love this video fellas. I used to watch bbq pit boys ( still do ) but the algorithm led me to mad scientists bbq, which also led me to this channel. I have started smoking brisket as well, using alot of what i have learned from your channels. Hope to grow big enough to meet you two one day.
Heard you relocated to Louisville,Ky @MadScientistBBQ ?
I've never done a brisket.. it's my holy grail... My wife and I make solid money but our son's cancer during COVID killed the finances ($370k ugh), so I can't justify the costs of a brisket (he's doing really well now, so no complaints)... But SOMEDAY I will get the opportunity and this video is going to be so helpful in helping me to not totally screwing it up. Great job and great video. My hat's off to both of you. Thank you
DUDE!!!! THANK YOU for a LEGIT video! This is the kind of content you are capable of and worth. Needed a break from all the "react" videos. GREAT work!
Glad you enjoyed it 😁
The crossover of the century. Can't wait for the avengers assemble moment of the CZcams BBQ world.
😂😂
Great watch brother!
I really enjoyed this video. Jeremy is a legend & the fact he was so willing to discuss things shows that & I think you represented him just right by making this great video 👏👏👏
Glad you think so, Jeremy is awesome!
One of your biggest collabs! Congrats ant.
thanks bro! I think it's my first collab hahaha 😂
@@AntsBBQCookout I guess it is. Started it off with a banger 🤣
I love the collabs you are doing, and I hope you continue to produce incredible BBQ content. Your voice is also so amazing that I could fall asleep to it every night.
Thank you! But.. what? 😂
me too. he has The Soothe™
@@AntsBBQCookout I had to say it lol, but for real you are one of my favorite BBQ channels that I follow, keep up the great work!
My 2 favorite BBQ channels cooking together 🎯💯
Man huge congrats on that amazing collab! I am hoping to get to hit up one of the classes or meet ans vreets soon! You are killing it out here!
Keep it up man this content is crazy well produced
🙏
DUUUDe your channel is gettting big! i knew it was destined.
Great video! Thanks for pointing it out today!
No prob! Thanks for saying what's up during the stream, made my day seeing all the 🐜🐜🐜 in the chat 😂
Man I feel you on the back pain! I fit 6-8 in mine and trimming/rubbing those the night before after working all day is.... a special feeling lol.
going to wear a dead lift belt next time lol
Bro, Im not near as tall but I feel you dawg!
I know the feelin’ of back pain. When I clean fish I caught I feel it in my lower back for sure. It’s like we need to use a good back brace for sure.
Such an awesome collab! Must’ve been a hell of an experience to pick his brain and help run that 1,000 gallon. I’d love to experience a 1,000 gallon cook! How did it differ from the 250 you have?
Bro that 1k was huge! It was actually a 1188 or something like that. It wasnt too different. Just more cooking zones when the pits getting started but the temps even out pretty good once it gets rolling. Uses more wood too but i guess thats obvious haha 😂
Wow awesome video. Would love to see more of these with some other pitmasters. Also love the apron
Thanks for the feedback. I was considering doing this for bbq joints too if people were interested. I have a few here in nashville i could probably reach out to and get a visit
Was so ready for this video watched it as soon as I got home. Don't have an offset smoker but ready to give another try on a brisket and use some of the tips in this video to see if it's done combined with both of your videos on doing a brisket in a pellet smoker
Thats awesome! Thanks for watching and i hope it turns out awesome!
Looks like a good time. Thnx for sharing
My pleasure, bro. Thanks for watching!
0:38 Love that Parappa music.
Great Video!! Thanks for sharing 😊👍👍
Well i need to drop everything and watch this!!! need to get you hanging with Chud next ;)
Haha we'll see! Hope you enjoy
His advice on not wrapping until the color and fat is rendered changed my brisket tremendously. I always followed the wrap at 165 deg, that is not the way. Game changer.
When my wife and I roast Chilie in the fall, we set the table (like the one y’all used) on coffee cans. Raises it up about 10 inches, makes a HUGE difference man. I didn’t realize you were that tall, I’m 6’ 1” and it sure helps me. Great collaboration. I sure enjoyed it
Very much enjoyed this video
Glad you did!
Getting my offset smoker soon. Watching all kinds of videos to learn. How much wood will it take to do a brisket?
These are the good old days.👍
"Real lite coat of rub right there!" Always good impersonations by Mr Yoder 👍
lol yeah he's a funny guy
as much as I love learning from these videos, the one thing that warms my heart in any of Ant's vids is the 3s music lol
All of the capcom fighting music is fantastic!
@@AntsBBQCookout that late 90s capcom fighting game music is gold man
I never thought I'd hear a PaRappa the Rapper song in a video no less a BBQ one.
love video game music, makes editing so much more fun
@@AntsBBQCookout You know you gotta sneak in the "Toasty Buns" instrumental in one of your future videos ;)
I came here to say this and was very happy to see it had already been said
Man you should get a booth at the Lao new year festival in Mboro on Memorial Day weekend…you’d kill it!
The top10 bbq houses likely get the best quality briskets, guessing better than we are getting locally for our backyard cooks.
more collabs!!!!
I have been cooking for over forty-three years. I was 10 years old my grandpa started me out on the barrel pit. I learned to listen or suffer the consequences. Anyway what I was trying to say I have talked to several people including Franklin, Myron Mixon, Guy fieri. We all agree you will never ever learn all there is to know to many variables to smoking them. I know I've got a lot more to learn about BBQ. I put my heart and soul in to it, cook-off or back yard bbq. If I do become a postmaster. It will be at the big cook-off in sky.🤠
Nice one. How about pvc pipe leg extenders for the table 😉
Thanks! My back would have appreciated that 🤕
Bro this was awesome. Soooooooo is Jeremy just short or u just really tall? Lmao 🤣 I was waiting for a hulk smash on those brisket trims 🤣🤣🤣🤣🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻 cheers bruddah
LOL too funny 😂 I think it's just the way we were standing or something. I'm not that much taller than Jeremy I'm about 6'0 and i think he's 5'8~
@@AntsBBQCookout lmao yea Lil camera magic I guess. Great vid though. I kno u had fun
Great video! That's a lot of information in a 12 minute video and very easy to follow - doesn't get much better than that.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it!
Just had to watch it again 😂 keep up the great work/content guys......I sit at work all day rewatching BBQ videos so when I'm off (I live in Louisville,Ky) I can try my luck with different seasonings an techniques but today I'm working with my buddy Dan Oliver's (Dan-O's Seasoning) seasoning to see how a brisket turns out 🤷🏾♂️wish me luck an I'll definitely let y'all know the results!
Thats awesome i see dan o s everywhere! Have fun! Im going to be posting a couple more of these travel BBQ behind the scenes type videos over the next couple months so stay tuned!
@AntsBBQCookout I appreciate the hard work y'all do 💪🏾you,Jeremy,Jirby,an Chuggs are my CZcams algorithm lol waiting on the next great video bro
How about wrapping with paper then foil?
I’m new at this
How did you make that tallow?
Why are you cooking fat side up?
Amazing information in this video but the thing that caught my attention real quick was hearing Pumpkin Hill in the background!
W, ear. Thanks for watching!
Wait... The fat cap side is the top and presentation side? I always thought it was opposite?
🔥🔥🔥
Y’all ever have the point lead in heat vs the flat?
stan a creator who's honest about back pain
Very nice video. It seems like you guys had fun. Do you think you've stepped your game up?
It was great for what it was, would have been better to just hangout vs making a video but we had a good time still. Oh yeah, absolutely leveled up
Parappa the Rapper FTW! Love the video.
I love Lawreys on my meat. I wish people would stop with the secrets! 98% of people watching this will not cook a brisket near as good as someone that has cooked countless of them. Great video man! God bless you guys
God bless and thanks for watching. Yeah Jeremys philosophy of the secret of perfect bbq is very similar to my own. There is no secret 😉
Like the blue sweatshirt
I run my fire that way and it was from camping never had anyone to reach me just what would last
Is this the pit that used to be at Pearl's in downtown LA? I saw you cooking there way back when.
You gotta ask Jeremy about that
Great video. What kind of wood was used.
White oak
What a high quality video. Good shit
🙏
I light my cigars with a bernzomatic too lmao
Lol it made a great shot
Were the briskets put on the pit before the fire was started? I do it all the time on my 250 Moberg. The briskets and pit come up to temp together. And the first hour of "dirty" smoke gets the bark started sooner. No acrid taste after a 10-12 hour cook.
For this cook, i believe the fire was started first. Sorry, trying to film and directing while cooking i wasnt paying super close attention. But yes, i have tried putting the briskets on first and then starting the fire and it was fine
was there any sort of rotation work of the briskets? like at each temp bump did the closest to the fire box move to the middle, the middle to the far side, far side to the firebox, front to the middle, middle to the back, back to the front?
no we didn't rotate them. with that low fire, the pit evens out after a couple hours, and also you can chill in the stall for a good while, to let all the briskets be ready for the wrap.
Can you do a Weber kettle brisket?
czcams.com/video/Mfy1Yt2BInU/video.html 😉
This is your best thumbnail yet don't change it
Thanks! I really like it too, im so so on the title though
@@AntsBBQCookout it's good too, no caps lock or foodtuber buzzwords either. Great video as well
Sick that you got to meat him
Nice play on words 😂 yeah it was a grate experience
Hey thats what i do, salt pepper and light on lawrys
Are the bristles Prime ..??
Man even trimming 5 is tiring bro lol hats off 🧢. Great video.
haha thanks man, gotta get my reps and stamina up!
Unfortunate to see him light a cigar that way. Blessing of a fire in the firebox. First time to your channel.
The rise in Lawry's with internet brisket discourse has always been a trip for me. My dad had a restaurant that closed down around 2000 and we got tons of restaurant supply spices including a tub of Lawry's. I put that shit on everything. It was my go to chicken and steak seasoning.
Reminds me of the days I used to process 5-10 deer in a day
i got to try some of jeremys brisket when he came to kc a couple months ago and it was the best ive ever had, and it was left over
Lol I was there too that day! I was cutting the ribs 😂
@@AntsBBQCookout nice! My uncle Michael Gunn was cooking there too you probably talked to him I helped weld his big 500 gal smoker that was there
Cut 18" lengths of PVC pipe to lift the table. Back saver for sure!
For sure next time!
Is that the file city sound track?
Haha day and night versions
The secret is...what kind of wood do you use??? Oak, there are over 875 different species, hickory...
Interesting 🤔
Jeremy Yoked-er is HIM.
Jer-HIM-y
Turns on video...hears Sonic Adventure 2 music...hits like
W
Elevate your table that you use for trimming and it will help with back pain and fatigue
Great idea, for sure next time 😅
You're tall. Get yourself some cheap bed risers from walmart and use it on the table. I cook chimney cakes for festivals and it is the best thing I have done for my back. At a $10 investment, I wish I had them the first few times I cooked.
You look like the ethnic Jeremy... y'all look like brothers man!
This guys gives me Norm MacDonald vibes
Yo!! 😂 great comp
They need a taller table for trimming all that brisket
Is this mark Normands long lost son? 😂 man looks and sounds like him
Great video, happy to subscribe. Jeremy needs to get back to his own content, we miss him. 👍🤝
Thanks! I think Jeremy just posted a video a few days ago
@@AntsBBQCookout Thanks for the tip, you're absolutely right. Don't know how I've missed that.
The table is to low to work on. But even with a higher one u probably get back pain.
I think the hidden portion was tossing all your meat on the smoker before you light it! Get some dirty smoke on it for a bit! I’ve seen Jonny do this on his millscale 92
great tip.. but it wasn't lol the tip he gave me I'd actually never heard before. maybe if you ask jonny he'll tell you lol
This man loves Sonic adventures 2 based on the playlist. Were you a Dreamcast or GameCube guy fam?? I grew up on Sega 💪🏾😎
GC! I did play dreamcast too a bit at my cousins house, KOF and House of the dead! 😂
@@AntsBBQCookout aww man you missed out on some serious heat!!! Lol but you are a man of great taste my inner nerd had to say something.
Never imagine you that tall 💯💯
Im not! I think its just the camera angles 😂
20 OMG 😲
Your're a foot taller than Jeremy. Im 6'5", I know what regular bench cooking feels like. You need to prop the briskets up on a box, and then you can go the whole day no worries. I do this all day in my kitchen which I have to share with little asian women.
You should react to "La Capital" brisquet videos
I've heard of them! A few people recommended that before. I'll check them out
Chud’s bbq crossover next
👀
You mean he didn't tell you just to put them in the oven????
get a higher table, that'll save your back.
SO hot right now! nice work
Hahaha ty bro
"the number 1"
Mad scientist bbq - 500k subs
How to bbq right - 1.58 million subs
The number 1... in our hearts? Idk
GET A TALLER TABLE. Sorry for yelling.
My eeeeaaars 😭
Dang I figured thought you were short amd Jeremy tall. What happened here. 😕
im not that much taller than Jeremy I think it was just the camera angle. I think I got like 3 or 4 inches on him lol
Really? You think you can make perfect brisket? Then prove it. Make a couple briskets and send them to me at my address at my home. I won’t be paying for them. Also beef ribs and maybe some sausage or pork ribs. Point is if it’s so perfect, gimme.
Hahahaha just give me your address your credit card number and the 3 whacky digits on the back and i will send it to you in 5-10 business years
You seem like a really nice guy, that said I am watching your video and every time you cut back to you in the studio talking into the camera, you remind me of a bobble head, kinda hard to watch, just sayin.
"Cheers"
Lol all good, I'm not for everyone but thanks for watching 😁
No tasting?! Unsubbed
who would go to some rando place to learn an underwhelming bbq secret? goldies got an enormous ego
Its not a rando place lol Goldees was named the number 1 bbq in Texas
Brain damaged
Had to stop watching after u cried about trimming 5 briskets that’s just sad
Dang, you missed the best parts of the video then.. sad 😢
Edit: btw i counted how many briskets i actually trimmed when i was editing the video. It was 3 😂
Anyone else get those down bad vibes when the brisket squirt GIVE ME THAT BRISKET!😏
😂😂 but sir!!
