The NS boards have a sidecut thats pretty incredible. Its a deep side cut towards the tips to a shallower side cut by the feet and flat between the bindings. It goes into the turns quickly and then locks into the carves. In addition to that they do NOT blend the different sidecuts at the points where they meet. The more you flex the board, the more it accentuates those points and pushes them into those icy conditions. It basically makes the board perform like magnetraction without having to wiggle the side of the board
I thought it was hype at first but I just had my Harpoon out on the iciest conditions I've ever experienced (thaw, hard freeze, no grooming or softening up the next day) and it held super well as long as I committed to my carves - no skid turning allowed on a day like that. That Vario Power Grip is legit. And I have a MagnaTraction board. What's crazy w the Power Grip is you can't even see the disruptions they're so subtle, and I don't feel any flat-basing drag like I do with MT.
The Herpoon on specification details have “NS SuperLight Wood Core , and RDS 2 Damping System” Is rl light feels compared with “statndard” wood core snowboard ? Or just marketing catch ? 🙃 Btw. Super review 👊🏻🔥
Cool lineup! That harpoon looks sick, I’m definitely gonna be checking that one out. Great video! Cheers.
It’s super fun www.the-house.com/nehm148754zz-never-summer-snowboards
Harpoon so dam cool grafs, and really fast, rides like a missile.
Usually ride 54 but picked 52 and that was right choice
It’s one of my favorites!
How is the edging on ice with the harpoon ? Looking for grip like magna traction?

@@AMac815 That board is the TRUTH!!!!
How’s the antidote on the groomers compared to say the alchemist?
Both boards rip groomers honestly just depends on what kind of ride you want overall off the groomers between those 2
