      Im european real tile -marble installer , over 25 years experence in construction with new licence Certified General Contractor State Florida , i dont have connection in Florida, let me know where i find jobs remodeling bathrooms, floor , walls ,pool , kittchen, etc, if you have some conection here in Florida i give you percent ..., thank you

    The process is different in each area, in Missouri it is up to the city or county you plan to do work in. Generally here in Missouri it is a fee set by the local government, copy of insurance and workman's comp.

      Its a common misconception, some states require it some dont.

      BRIAN VANDUYN ahh okay I believe California requires it but I now live in Washington and as far as I know out here it’s not required I’ve been wanting to start a general contractors business and need to save those 12k

    Hey I have no Experience in The trades but should I go to a Community College for construction Management than learn carpentry on the side or while in school or just go to a trade school than go on from there i don’t know I am 18 with no experience , people are telling me to go to trade school but I feel like getting school knowledge and hands on is best of both worlds i don’t know I don’t know much about construction world as of now any thoughts I really really need help right now ??

      I have a 5 year degree in Architecture and worked in construction and poured concrete to pay for college. I would look for a college that offers a degree in construction management then you go out and obtain construction experience. That piece of paper will gives you more credibility in the real world. I KNOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hey I have a question and it may be a dumb one, but it doesn’t hurt to ask I just hope I can get an answer. I’m going to school to learn the trade construction technology but I also want my contractor license to start up my business. The question is there like some type of a website where contractors bid for jobs? Other than word to mouth how can you get the big customers.

      There are several web sites but some cost big$$$ to be apart of them or allow you to bid! Great question.

    The video really doesn't give that much information . I don't even think you said what state. There's a lot more to it than just the application I know I'm licensed in 15 states with multiple classification in each state

      +Nolan Stratton WELL THE MAIN REASON IS in order to have a resellers permit to sell gravel at the price i want to "mark up a little" you have to have a contractor license also in order for me to legally use my dozer and backhoe on peoples property i should have it...

    well each state is different, WA is the easiest state to become A GC, in Oregon is a whole different story, not mention California so your info means nothing

      @@BRIANVANDUYN growing mine out too, love theses vids, i go to church with a older man who had a dump truck and works for himself and have been talking to him about getting one, im 24 amd wanting to be my own boss and have grown up and drove trucks all my life. I guess the most scary part is actually going through with it and buying one lol.
