Matt's (aka "New Guy") opening hum sends shivers down my spine. And, just when you think you are safe. . . BAMM! MItched again!
This was released audio only about a month before this video dropped. Listening to that, i did not know that Matt and Scott switched parts in the first verse. Bass to lead, Baritone to Bass line, then back again. Smooth, seamless teamwork.
They did such an exceptional job with this song! It was Mitch hitting those high notes.
Just wondering if you knew that Scott Hoying ( tall blond guy in the group ) just released his first official solo last week. It's called Mars and it's both visually and vocally stunning! You should check it out!
Also the group is gearing up again and are doing their first concert at the Hollywood Bowl tomorrow

They are masters of what they do so glad you can appreciate their abilities. Someone mentioned their cover of Gold I recommend it. What they did in that song was jaw dropping.

Love your PTX reactions, even if you haven't quite got their names yet. Mitch is the counter-tenor who hits us with those highs. Scott is the tall, blond, riff-loving baritone. Kevin is the singing, beatboxing, composing and arranging cellist, and Kirstie (rhymes with thirsty) is the passionate, female mezzo-soprano. Avi was the original bass, who can actually sing in the lowest of the bass ranges, basso profundo, and their current bass is the smooth and ever-smiling Matt. Have you reacted to their cover of "Havana"? Pentatonix gets sultry!

Mitch’s high notes are amazing, fans lovingly call it a Mitch-slap. They’ll get you every time!

Would love to see you react to their cover of Gold by Kiara. An ultimate Mitch slap. Its an older one, but a master class on how each member adds to the other. Also its live on a radio program with great sound. Check out the original first to truly appreciate the craft of their "upgrade" covers.

I've heard this hundreds of times, yet I never get tired of it. The feel of the song is just perfect and the harmonies sections just stood out and made me shiver. Loved hearing it again. Your comments were also very interesting and apropos.

I always do that, try to hear what each is doing- it’s like looking at one of those pictures when u can see two things depending how u concentrate- of course, with Pentatonix u have to concentrate 5 times ❤️

I really enjoy your Pentatonix reactions! I'm glad you decided to jump down the rabbit hole...we "pentaholics" crave more quickly, as I'm sure you can tell by now.. LoL.
I'm sure you're overwhelmed with recommendations and I'll give 👍🏼 to all of them however, I want to mention one that I don't usually see: they have an official video of "A-ha" (it's... theatrical and entertaining) they also do this song live.. OFTEN but the best live version is a fan made video (it's pretty good quality and SUPER POPULAR) "Aha at the StarVista Singapore".. Mitch and Avi... Just have to see/hear to believe!! I suggest you watch their official video first and then the live StarVista Singapore one... It would be a treat for us fans if you could do them back to back in the same reaction.. you're amazing and I'm looking forward to seeing more of your channel!

Loved the Mitch Slap face! If you want another Mitch popping off - check out both their official cover of Imogen Heap 'Aha' and then go check out the live version of Singapore Star Vista 'Aha', Mitch was jetlagged pre-concert and he downed two redbulls and the caffiene hit him in the middle of their performance and he just pops off and goes insane, and Avi destroys the sound system with his low notes at the beginning so for the rest of the song, the bass was kind of muffled. Btw Kevin is there - during the previous performance he'd been on the cello and so he was putting Beyonce (his cello's name) away so they did a little choral thing to give him time, and they all move over - Kevin is on the far right but the person that was recording it never zoomed out again to show him. Or you could check out Superfruit's rendition of 'Defying Gravity'!

There are three songs which I really think you would enjoy one is joyful joyful live from the Evergreen experience and then they did one called White Winter Hymnal that is amazing and to see insane vocal control Carol of the bells
