Jennifer welcomes WRCB affiliate anchor couple Cornelia Nicholson and Riley Nagel from Chattanooga, TN, whose on-air proposal video went viral. Cornelia was recording promos when her boyfriend, Riley, asked for her hand in marriage in a proposal designed to mirror a news segment.
Jennifer welcomes Holliday’s Helping Hands founder Katina Holiday “Miss Holliday” from Los Angeles, CA. The nonprofit organization helps LA County’s general unhoused population and young mothers released from incarceration get back on their feet. Holliday’s Helping Hands also teaches individuals the skill set needed to thrive on their own and become productive members of society.

Imagine singing live in front of J-Hud, arguably the best vocalist of her generation.
imagine singing with her on stage like they did and even recording a song with her.
I mean, they have sung live with her in the past as well. Also sung with people like Stevie Wonder, Dolly Parton etc. Performed at events filled with the who's who of singers. So while they still get star-struck I think it's likely less by now than we would feel who are not used to it.
Pentatonix are the best Acapella group and it shows that their voices are well trained and they are super talented ❤❤❤❤❤❤

Holiday starts and the Pentatonix Christmas cd’s go on pretty much continuously all day. As well as the others throughout the year. Feeling down, Pentatonix. Feeling up…Pentatonix. Just feel like dancing crazy around the house…Pentatonix. :) lol. My cd player in my car jammed…with my Sing cd in it.
When I'm mad about something I listen to them to cool off and calm down they are fantastic 😍

My family is originally from Aberdeen MS. Hardly anybody ever knows where it is. My grandparents who had 13 children, moved to Michigan when my mom(#6) was only two years old. I’m so happy to see more good people out of Aberdeen!❤

We watch your show most mornings. I was pleasantly surprised to discover you on CZcams! I enjoyed your guest from L.A., the Nurse Practitioner who is helping the former homeless, incarcerated persons. I especially love that they do not separate families as most shelters do.

Wow, Helping Hands makes me so happy, seeing how bad things are getting with LA homelessness post-COVID it’s people like her that are rebuilding our community.
I gotta say S2 of Jennifer Hudson Show is an improvement from the 1st Season as that season she was trying to get used to being a talk show host and this season its like she finally is in her comfort zone with it.

I love Pentatonix but I hate the way that they don't even mention starting out with Avi anymore.
But they were not even really talking about starting out in this one? They said that they met their bass through a friend. Other than that, it has been 12 years since they started, 6 years since he left. Why WOULD they be talking about the start all the time? They have current life events, tours, songs and things to talk about. Also, pretty sure they have hinted that they contractually are not allowed to use him in their promotional stuff (and the same thing for him). Standard thing since it's still a business.
i heard that they are not allowed to mention him legally, and PTX didn't put this rule on themselves, it was Avi's team, his decision, not theirs
She needs to get Zara Larsson on her show next.

No shade to them (they are both very talented), that doesn't feel very likely unless they have a random very viral thing. Even Pentatonix are barely able to get on mainstream interviews, even with how big they are.

I think more than a few of us know a different bass came first. I miss Avi!
They mention that in the origin story. He says he found their bass through a mutual friend, and then later says how they found Matt. Matt has been in the band as long as Avi was. I don't see why they should keep talking about him when he's not really relevant to what they are doing now and has a full life and career of his own. Noone is pretending he doesn't exist, they are just living their life in the now.

well@@chelp.1691 Avi did say it was too much to be in the Spotlight. being away from home. i do however believe Avi's Shoes are a massive Slot to fill.
what i would say made PTX so much more than most of any other groups. Wasn't the individuals talenty and such, but it was the mixing and mashing between the EDM genre. i don't get anymore mixes and mash-ups since Avi left.
@@DylanBindswell that's just incorrect. They've done a ton of mashup still since Avi left. People give Avi way too much credit as if he was the only one that made them successful. They're all musically gifted and have been succeeding a ton since he left. Matt joining actually made them a more cohesive group as his voice and style fits more with their voices and sound.
Did anyone else think they were out of key when they were singing? I think it was mostly Kirstie. Very rare for them but sounded totally off to me.
Maybe a little but mostly I think it's the mic levels. She does the classic alto "one note almost sounds off" harmony, which is intended to be a bit more in the middle or back of the mix of the sound. Here it went more to the forefront, which is what makes it sound a little off instead of a nice dissonant note.
