They’re professionals, they have to work fast when you’re in a music group, this is something I’ve learned from playing in a bunch of them, it takes practice and time to be able to do that

This wasn't rehearsed, but they've done a lot of rehearsals together. When you're used to harmonize with someone, it comes easier

One thing I find so crazy is when they read the card and half a second later they all start at the same instant, all knowing exactly which note / voice / instrument they will sing. As if it was reharsed.

KunjakuMyoho only one of them need to start to give the cue on which note to sing and which part of the song they’re gonna sing. Well the beatboxing doesn’t need any particular attention to note he can just beatbox. It’s not really that hard tho
most of them were songs they had all done before- the ones they hadn't you can see a few of them go for different parts or even different songs entirely.

Yely Harmony fr all you need to do is read the card, remember the song, listen to the song in your head to discern where you should be, actually execute that, be on tempo with everyone else, hope that everyone else does the same, and do all that in 1 second with the pressure of a timer, a record your trying to beat, and cameras in your face. No biggy easy peasy

That dude is the incredible Mitch Grassi!!!! He’s a tenor of the group (the second tenor being the one behind him which is Kevin Olusola) then the girl’s Kirstie Maldonado, and she’s a mezzo soprano/alto, the blond one’s Scott Hoying, and he’s a baritone, and the one with the hat is Matt Sallee and he’s a bass. They are all incredibly talented and you should check out their songs!!! If u want one where the mullet guy is amazing the check out their Arianna medley (or any of them tbh!!) the harmonies are all amazing!!!
This video has been my addiction for the longest time....they have such a good chemistry, they’re so funny, they are so in sync, they sing amazingly. I miss them together so much!!!!

I love Pentatonix, but you have to admit that they had an advantage over Tiffany Young because they had 5 people who could possibly know the songs, which in turn made them faster.

For you guys wondering, I think the way they get to synchronizing so fast is that each member is a different tone/instrument.
As in:
Kirstin - Mezzo-soprano
Scott - Baritone
Mitch - Tenor
Kevin - Cello
Matt - Bass
so I think they think of that part of the song they have. And then do their respectful part. Though it still takes lots of practice and intelligence to do that.
