- I missed the press visit of the new B23 dlr trains in February this year, so in this video I will be giving you some in-depth information on these trains.

Who here is old enough to also remember the very first DLR trains?
Very good presentation. I hope these trains don’t share some of the recent CAF design fault experience (mainly cracks) on some of the other train designs in the UK and elsewhere.
Hope the announcement voices on board are the same as the old ones. Its a satisfying voice
The lady who did the old announcements is no longer available, so there’s a 95% chance that they will keep it the same. It’s my favourite from all the TfL services so fingers crossed that they will keep it. 🤞🤞

i love the interior but they removed one feature that i love about the old stock a wall covering the wheels so ot looks likea monorail

also the DLR stocks that are in service now they have 2 cars that are usually 2 or 3 unites and the B23 is a walkthorugh 5 car DLR train which is more than a 2 unit 2 car DLR train

The new announcments will definitely be recorded by TfL Emma - you can already hear her on some B90/92/2K trains when pulling into canary wharf/ west India quay

I have a Question? Will the Front seats be able to be used when the driver isn't sitting there?. Im guessing the Non Driving Side of the front will allways be able to be used, but not the one with the driving controls
yes
Yes you will be able to use the space however the driving panel will be slightly higher to reduce back injuries when PSAs are standing there
